Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 1005: That Man?

Chapter 1005: That Man?

He had the location of yet another base filled with people. Except for some reason, no matter how many times Rael tried to find this location, he wasn’t able to. There wasn’t anything there, or perhaps he was just looking at the wrong location.

Perhaps every single one of these guys had their minds scrambled so they didn’t know where the location was. They only knew that there was something, though. Rael was more than a little pissed at this prospect, since that just meant this group was very organized.

Regardless, he went ahead and gathered his thoughts, absorbing as much information as he could from Gerald, and then moving on to someone else a bit further away. Rael was merciless in this regard, killing them effortlessly and absorbing all the knowledge they had come to gather.

By the time he was done, every single one of the people on this planet was dead, their souls erased, and their memories absorbed. Every single one of them had similar backgrounds.

Destroyed worlds, betrayal, and then eventually being tasked with joining this organization of sorts. Despite absorbing so much information, Rael still couldn’t pinpoint just who exactly they were targeting.

Was it the former rulers of reality? Was it someone else entirely? The only thing he knew, in the end, was that they were pissed at him for some godforsaken reason. Still, like the good lad that Rael was, he went ahead and...

"Hm?"

Right.

There was a computer in their base of operations. Rael thought it was strange for there to be something like that here, so he descended and checked it out. The wallpaper was literally his face around the time he first came to Celestara.

There were other pictures too. His first time in Celestara’s dungeon, some of his first ever dungeon fights. There were a lot, none of which he felt should have been possible to obtain through regular means.

Not unless someone like Rael had watched over himself. But why? What was the point of it all? Did that being know about Rael since the very start? Was that being stalking him or something?

Huh...

Rael tried to browse a bit more through the laptop, but before he knew it, it began to self-destruct. He tried to rewind time slightly, yet no matter what he tried, he wasn’t able to revert what had just happened.

There were some powers at play that even he couldn’t power through, and that kind of pissed Rael off. After all, wasn’t he the most powerful being in the universe at the moment? Why were there some things he couldn’t do, when he supposedly should be able to do everything?

Rael clutched the remnants of the laptop, and then with an annoyed expression, he destroyed the remainder of this dimension.

Then, he went ahead and left through the same entrance. He was about to leave and once again enter that state from before, but for some reason, he felt like something was a little off. It was an instinctual feeling that something was watching him.

And once he glanced to the side, he finally saw it. In the seemingly open space, there was a weird absence of pressure coming from that direction. Usually, there was something, anything. After all, the multiverse was very big, so there would be presences everywhere.

So in this regard, Rael immediately froze time. Except he didn’t hold back even a little, freezing the time of every single reality at once. His head ached a little, but that ache vanished the moment Rael split open a whole cardinal direction in two.

It was an odd feeling, having access to so much power. But on the bright side, with a whole universe split in two just in front of him, Rael felt a rush of power he had never felt before. Not only that, the presence he had felt from that same direction revealed itself, as he had slashed through every single dimension, realm, and everything in between that stood before him.

And finally, the location he had been looking for was revealed. The people inside it were frozen, except for one. There was one being that moved at a rather slowed-down rate, and from the looks of things, his level of power was the real deal.

If Rael had to guesstimate, this guy was just slightly weaker than Gaia. In terms of the multiverse, he was the second strongest. But he also had a nice quirk — he could move through reality, much like Rael.

Maybe that was how he had managed to keep his eyes on Rael and take so many photos. Dealing with a stalker was quite eventful, to say the least. So before this guy could even take a single step into another reality, Rael reappeared behind him, snatched him by the neck, and then ripped out his spine.

That wasn’t all, however, as before the man could even process the pain, Rael wrapped the spine around his neck, choking him as he stared into his eyes menacingly.

"Are you the one who was messing around with me? Blink once if yes, blink twice if you’re stupid."

Thankfully, the man blinked once. For some reason, despite finding himself in such a situation, he was rather giddy. He could die at any moment, but still gushed with excitement. What kind of weirdo was this?

Releasing his grasp on the man’s neck, Rael stared at him as he slowly regained his breath. Even his spine had regenerated already, except it was a little crooked. Not like either of them cared, though.

"I finally get to meet you, Rael..." the man said. "You’ve been around for so long, and yet you’ve never once noticed me. It’s truly a miracle, but a miracle I’m very happy about."

"I’m not here to participate in some circle-jerk, so tell me what you want, and I might kill you and the rest of your people painlessly," Rael said, and then crossed his arms, fully prepared to hear this guy out.
