Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 762: Tier Up

Chapter 762: Tier Up

The two just stared at him in horror for a few moments.

After all, someone who looked like a complete nobody just beat one of the strongest Dragon Gods without even lifting a finger.

That very same Dragon God was now stuck inside of a barrier prison, unable to do anything.

It would be stupid of them to try anything now.

Even Rain, who was usually calm and collected, felt that there was no way to beat Rael at the moment.

As for Indra, he was reminded of the pain and suffering he had felt earlier, back when Astaroth had trapped him.

So to see that pain and suffering in front of him once again, but just in a different form, made his body tremble slightly.

As for Rael, he felt a little awkward being so overly arrogant, but since Astaroth seemed to be enjoying it, Rael decided to embrace it.

"Now then, do either of you want to change your minds?" Rael asked. "I’m asking just for courtesy’s sake. If you don’t want to, then that’s fine. I can always scramble your brains, or even kill you and have someone else take your place."

His smile widened.

"On that note, I’d like for you to vote once again."

He glanced at every single Dragon God present.

"All in favor of making me the next Dragon God, raise your hands."

Naturally, not a single person raised their hand, since they weren’t easily intimidated.

At the same time, Rael had none of the qualifications needed to become a Dragon God.

Not a single one.

But he only needed 3 yeses.

"Rethink your decisions carefully, because—"

"God, will you shut up already?" Marie chimed in, letting out a sigh. "You’re like a child blabbering. No one’s going to make you a Dragon God just because you beat one of us. It doesn’t matter to either of us whether you’re powerful or not. You’re not known, and as a Dragon God, no one would respect you."

"Bold of you to assume I’m looking for respect," Rael replied. "All I want is to reach the next tier of my Dragon Heart. That’s it."

Marie’s expression soured.

"And that beckons the intimidation of us?"

"If that’s the only option, yeah." Rael nodded. "And it looks like it is, so before I do something drastic, say yes, make me an unofficial Dragon God, and I’ll be on my way."

He glanced over everyone again.

"I really don’t have any ulterior motives. I literally just want to tier up and leave."

With that, Rael fell silent, allowing everyone to process his words carefully.

On the surface, that was all he wanted, and deep down, it was the same.

However, the old Dragon Gods really felt like they couldn’t trust him, since on the off chance his ulterior motive was to do something improper with the title, they wouldn’t be able to stop him.

So for that reason, Marie shook her head and glanced away.

Johan stared at Rael for a few moments longer, and did the same.

As for Rain and Indra, the two of them seemed to be the only ones who were intimidated slightly.

So Indra was the first to give in.

"I’m in favor."

At his words, Rain’s eyes widened.

The eyes of Johan did as well.

"Boy, are you stupid? What are you doing?" Johan asked, frowning. "Do you take us for pushovers? Do you believe even with all ten of us being here, we’d stand no chance against this lad?"

He pointed at Avarice.

"The old man was just caught off guard. That’s it."

"No he wasn’t," Astaroth chimed in with a chuckle. "And if you keep acting like that, I’m sure you’ll come to regret it."

Victoria coughed.

"I believe what my future husband meant to say was that you shouldn’t underestimate Rael. He’s very strong."

Johan merely scoffed and looked away again.

In the end, Rain was left with the difficult choice of facing his wife, weighing the consequences, and putting his dignity aside.

And thankfully...

"I’m also in favor."

He wasn’t stupid.

For that, Rael smiled and nodded at the two of them.

By now, they had begun getting earfuls from their wives, but neither of them cared.

And of course, that was a good decision, meaning only one vote remained.

Rael turned to Avarice, who was locked up in a barrier, and with the snap of his fingers, freed him.

"I’m sure you’ve heard everything. Make your choice. I don’t want to put any pressure on your old shoulders, but just so you know, your decision may or may not prevent a massacre."

Avarice just blankly stared at him for a moment.

Obviously, Rael had made sure to seal everything away except the sound.

So Avarice heard everything, and by sitting inside that barrier, he also knew the extent of Rael’s strength.

Even if every single one of them were to gang up on Rael, they wouldn’t be able to beat him.

That was the overwhelming difference between them all.

A difference Avarice didn’t even know was possible.

And despite the expectations of everyone at the round table, he lowered his head slightly and bowed.

"I’m in favor."

Those words caused the entire table to gasp and then fall silent.

But Rael on the other hand, he was basking in the sudden rush of power he felt all throughout his body, since it was nothing like what he had felt before.

And after seeing the pop-ups, that’s to be expected.
