Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 894: Banded Together

Chapter 894: Banded Together

“Hmmm…”

Rael glanced around. It really was just as he saw from above. A total hellhole. But at least the windows weren’t smashed, and the door was even. If anything, the inside seemed a lot better.

Upon closer look, Rael realized that it was completely renovated, making the inside actually look like a proper home. It was just the exterior that was complete shit.

“Do you want my honest thoughts on it?” Rael asked.

Uriel smiled at him. “I would prefer it if you just kept your mouth shut in regard to my home.”

“Really? Huh. Well, it’s not that bad,” Rael replied.

Uriel’s smile widened. “As I said, I’d rather not hear it, since I can feel when you’re sarcastic. Now then, we’ll enter our home, and you must take your shoes off. That is basic common courtesy.”

Rael let out a sigh and pointed at his feet. “Does it look like my feet have ever touched the muddy ground? What’s the point of taking my shoes off if my feet won’t be touching your floor either?”

“Just do it…” Uriel replied in an exhausted tone.

Rael rolled his eyes at his words, but decided to cooperate anyway. Finally, Uriel opened the door to his home, and the first thing he did after entering was take off his shoes.

Like the good father figure that Rael was, he followed by example. In fact, he even allowed his feet to touch the ground, realizing that it might be a bit too disrespectful if he hadn’t done it.

Still, as he glanced around the main hallway and spotted a few monitors, guns, and even a rocket launcher hanging on one of the clothing hangers, Rael felt like Uriel and Solenne had everything under control.

Rather, they could probably kill anyone that came for them, even if that certain anyone was a person who could use mana.

“Hmm…”

“I borrowed those guns from your collection. Rather, after I found out how to access your Premium Shop, I bought them myself,” Uriel said.

Rael shrugged. “That’s cool. I like the gun choices. You should’ve bought a railgun though. It’s kind of lame that you didn’t.”

Uriel stared at him for a moment, then moved aside some of the shoes by the side, revealing a perfectly untouched railgun just lying there, fully charged and ready to be fired at any moment.

“I am very well prepared for an emergency, father.”

“R-Right…” Rael stammered in surprise. Was Uriel actually that capable?

He didn’t pose any more questions, and instead, Uriel just walked ahead, entering the main living room. Rael obviously followed, and to his surprise, the moment he entered the living room, he was greeted with the powerful scent of roses, much like what he had first smelled when he got to this world.

Except those roses seemed to be originating from some kind of device that was currently in a certain person’s hands.

Solenne’s hands.

She looked a lot more mature than he had last seen her, and by default, she didn’t look like some weird loli anymore. He could actually give his son a thumbs up for his choice in women.

Still, he saw that she had a weird glove on, and without even noticing both of their presence, she tinkered with a mechanical leaf atop the table, infusing it with all sorts of information and practically programming it with her thoughts.

That was definitely far too advanced for this world, which meant she most likely used her extensive knowledge to make this and get an upper hand on everyone else.

He could respect it.

Though, after just a few minutes of tinkering, she finally stopped and leaned back. The moment she did, she spotted Uriel, who was very happy to see her.

“Guess what I did? I brought home that trunk that you liked, and I placed it in front of our home. I’ll turn it into a chair later, so you can use it whenever you’re lazing around outside,” Uriel said, and then leaned in, giving her a kiss.

She surprisingly returned that kiss with a warm expression. Not to mention Rael couldn’t sense even a single negative thought in her mind. Her love was pure, that much he was certain of.

Though, whenever she turned to the left and spotted Rael, her mind was flooded with negative thoughts, much like fear, rage, and anger. Rael knew to expect this, so he carefully stepped back and narrowed his eyes at her.

But before he could even do a single thing, he heard a few words he wasn’t expecting to hear in the slightest.

“You’re a very shitty father.”

Hmm?

“You abandoned him, and then you have the gall to show up after all this time just to judge him and me? I know our history, but in the grand scheme of things, I’ve known him longer than you. I don’t give a shit what you do to me, but just so you know, my hatred for you won’t ever fade.”

“N-Now, now. Give him a moment to explain himself, Solenne,” Uriel said, then glanced over at Rael.

“I’m sure he has a very good reason for why he abandoned me.”

Rael let out a sigh.

He kind of had an inkling that something like this would’ve been the case. He wasn’t really counting on it being true, but it was.

The two of them had gotten together, and of course, with their hatred shared against Rael, they were naturally trying to mess him over now. Obviously, Rael didn’t care much about what they felt toward him, nor did he have an excuse for what he did.

If anything, this was just a situation where he could either sit and take all of this, or… He could just walk away again.

But despite what they were expecting, Rael just sat down on the couch, and after buying some tea from the Premium Shop, he crossed his legs, glancing at both Uriel and Solenne.

“We need to talk.”
