Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 896: Missed Marriage

Chapter 896: Missed Marriage

The moment Rael arrived, he was met with quite an interesting sight. The soldier that he had asked her to comprehend was lying on the ground with his head detached.

Rael was sure that he had asked Gaia to take care of it, but it seemed like she had failed.

It was the first time he had ever seen her fail, so it was kind of cute, in a way.

Still, Rael felt like that didn’t matter much, as when he caught her attention, she went ahead and rewound the time of the soldier she had just killed.

He was once again alive. But now, he was much more aware of what was happening, and with two powerful beings hovering slightly in front of him, he didn’t hesitate to bow down.

“I-I’ve angered the Gods! I’m sorry.”

“Hmm?”

[He’s a little special, so just bear with him,] Gaia said plainly.

Rael sighed and nodded.

“Alright. As your gods, I ask you to shut up and be still for a moment.”

The moment he uttered those words, Rael went ahead and inspected this guy’s mind. It was way too fragile and easy to access, to the point where Rael was basically seeing everything he needed to.

For one, the people who were targeting Uriel and Solenne were the same people who were in control of mana. It was just that there weren’t that many people to begin with.

Only around twenty or so. All twenty were in cahoots and seeking to kill Uriel though. As much as Rael wanted to stick around and have a talk with each one of them, he decided to just go with the simple fix.

He closed his eyes, focused on each of their presences, and with a single thought, he detonated their minds, killing them instantly.

It was very brief and effortless. Just like that, the threat had vanished.

And so, when Rael opened his eyes, he just smiled at the man in front of him and, without hesitation, ripped his head off as well. Afterwards, he just tossed it to the floor and glanced away.

“Well, that’s that. He should be able to live here until retirement or whatever. Tsk… What a foolish idiot,” Rael remarked.

Gaia chuckled. “Well, you’ve been treating this as a checklist rather than a visit. I don’t really get people like you, to be honest. But I doubt you care about appearances much, so we can just leave this as is.”

Sure.

“It is what it is. Let’s see… Since Uriel’s fine and settled, I guess we could head to the Dragon Realm now?” Rael wondered.

He had been meaning to do that since the very start. It was just that, with the High Tower and everything, he had no choice but to not be able to attend Astaroth’s wedding.

Still, he hoped to at the very least give him a late present. It was better than nothing, since even if they bickered and fought a lot, the two of them were still pretty good friends.

With that in mind, Rael glanced over to Gaia and, without hesitation, opened a portal leading straight to the Dragon Realm.

The travel over there didn’t take long. But when Rael arrived, he wasn’t met with the familiar Fate Dragon mountain range. Instead, there was a whole ass canyon and a luxurious city spanning all across his vision.

There was even a city in the sky. From what he gathered, only the baby dragons were allowed up there. Well, some guards too, to make sure nothing bad happened to the baby dragons.

Though, the main attraction was obviously the throne room that Rael had been in countless times. Except now, it was carved into the side of the large canyon, spanning several kilometers in length.

And of course, Rael could obviously feel Astaroth there alongside his wife.

They were as happy as ever. It was just that Rael couldn’t help but feel some baby dragons running around there as well. It was almost like Astaroth had somehow managed to weasel his way into parenthood.

But no way, right?

“Those are indeed his children,” Gaia said from the side. “He has eight, from what I can see? No… There are also four up in the sky city. It looks like he has 12 children in total.”

“What the fuck…?” Rael muttered in surprise. “12 children? How does one even…? No, that’s not important. Let me go down there.”

He reappeared in the throne room and spotted Astaroth just sitting lazily on the throne and throwing miniature balls at his children. It looked like he was playing catch, maybe?

BONK!

Never mind.

He was just using this as an excuse to throw rubber balls at his children. Well, you win some, you lose some.

Though, it didn’t take long for Astaroth to spot Rael, as the moment he did, he raised his brow in amusement.

“Bit late for a housewarming gift, don’t you think?”

Rael shrugged. “I was stuck somewhere. But hey, who knew you’d be this horny, huh? 12 kids really is some record-breaking stuff.”

Just then, Victoria walked out from the side. Her belly was a little bigger, and when Rael noticed that, Astaroth simply coughed.

“Well, I do have a 13th one on the way. But that’s beside the point. Want any tea or drinks, Rael? You too, Gaia, was it? Want anything?”

“He’s a lot friendlier than Uriel,” Gaia remarked.

Rael shrugged. “Yep. And yeah, Astaroth, we’d love to have some food, so long as you haven’t poisoned it.”

Astaroth rolled his eyes. “If I poisoned something, you would know. Now then, come here. Oh, Victoria dear, sit down and let me go prepare some food.”

Victoria didn’t say anything. But her smile was happy, and Rael knew for a fact that Astaroth wasn’t a shitty husband. That was a plus, and something that Rael couldn’t help but give Astaroth a thumbs up for.

Still, when the two switched places and Victoria sat down on one of the thrones, Rael had an inkling that she had something to say.
