Chapter 928: Sending Her Off Too
Chapter 928: Sending Her Off Too
Rael was a little bit surprised. Sure, Seryn did paint quite the picture that she was pissed off about this, but he wasn’t expecting her to agree to leave her home where she had lived for so long.
Well… It’s fine. Rael preferred it this way, since now he didn’t need to worry about wasting time.
On the other hand, although Aria had agreed so swiftly, she was starting to slightly regret her decision. She had spent a lot of her time here, to the point where she had grown accustomed to the place, used to simply existing here.
So what if… whenever she went out into the universe, she didn’t like it? What if it didn’t bring the same warmth, comfort, and luxury that she had here? In the off chance there was no happiness waiting for her there, what happens then?
She thought about it, and in the meantime, Rael went ahead and formed a portal in front of him. Despite connecting the Void Realm and the Mortal Realm, he barely struggled, showcasing his clear understanding of the Law of Space due to his high mastery of the Law of Infinity.
Not to mention, he didn’t even make a single trace of mana leak out, which pretty much made it undetectable. Like the professional part-time portal maker that Rael was, he managed to connect everything and made a portal appear right above Seryn’s estate in the other world.
It was some kind of cultivation world from the looks of things. More importantly, the estate was damn massive. Even Rael was a little surprised, but then this also gave him a cute little idea.
What if he made his very own universe for cultivation and stuff? Obviously, he had yet to get around to making actual life aside from some replicas, but he would work it out.
It seemed like fun… Murim worlds, cultivation worlds, pure swordsmanship worlds… even knight worlds. It was like a personal playground, worlds where Rael could enter and do whatever he wanted.
Reset his power and play it out. It was a fun idea, and of course, Rael planned on getting to it after he was done with this.
Finally, he turned around and gave both Seryn and Aria a smile.
“Well, go on through whenever you’d like. I’ll be heading elsewhere when you do.”
Seryn gave Rael an appreciative nod. He had recognized the pavilion on the other side, and despite so many years passing, it still looked the same. Even more importantly, he could sense the presence of a woman in that pavilion.
A woman whom he had spoken to, interacted with, and loved for all of this time. It was time for him to go back home. So, without hesitation, he took a step across into the portal and then began dropping down toward the pavilion.
The portal crackled slightly, and that was because Rael had only intended for two people to cross. Afterwards, it would self-destruct.
Rael glanced over to Aria, and for some reason, she seemed to be hesitating. Right as he was about to say something, she spoke up instead.
“Does this… You know, have a time limit?”
“What are you talking about?” Rael rolled his eyes. “If you don’t want to go, just buzz off. There’s no second gateway to bring you back here, since then you’d have a being up your ass willing to kill you. I’m referring to the Beast, by the way. Doubt you’d want him anywhere near your ass.”
She flinched slightly, then shook her head. “It’s not that. Would I be able to go back if I don’t like it there?”
Novelnice∙comRael raised a brow. “You wouldn’t like living in a normal place with normal people and a normal day and night cycle? Are you okay?”
Although he sounded a little condescending, he was only doing this to make sure she knew what she was getting into. After all, the questions he raised were all valid.
Still…
“I was going to decline, but I honestly don’t mind. If you ever change your mind, just send me a message. I’ll come over there and toss you back into the Depths. All sorted?”
She nodded. “That’s fine.”
And with that, she finally hopped through the portal. The portal fizzled and closed, leaving behind only a few embers.
Rael stood there for a few moments, and then shrugged to seemingly no one. Afterwards, he went ahead and finished raiding Aria’s fridge. To be honest, there wasn’t much good stuff, and there were some leftovers in the back, so he gave up and stole the whole fridge.
Her lamp looked nice, so he added it to his collection too. It was too bad she didn’t have a dog. He would’ve loved to steal a dog too, since he kind of wanted a pet.
Now that he was thinking about it, if he went ahead and bought a pet from the Premium Shop, would he technically be stealing someone’s pet?
Ugh…
What a difficult life.
Rael took a step forward and suddenly crossed a distance of several thousand kilometers, reappearing on another continent altogether. It was the Sathmir Continent. It looked as good as always, and the tree in the very middle was even more alluring.
A massive willow tree, which had the entrance to the Willow Tree Realm.
Rael stared at it for a moment, then sighed. He had remembered that he didn’t really need to come here, as he could just enter that realm directly.
But for the sake of it, he decided to just follow traditional rules as he went ahead and approached the core of the tree. By the time he blinked, he was already gone, surrounded by thousands of willow trees.
Last time he saw them, they had been burned. Now, they were lively and plentiful. It was a beautiful sight.
And of course, this sight was met with a familiar figure, the Guardian who oversaw all of Tiamat’s business.
