Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 937 937: Their Goals?

Chapter 937 937: Their Goals?

"Hello lads," Rael said, smiling at both Altros and Melissa. They seemed very powerful, and evidently, they were very, very eager about killing him.

After all, he was someone who came from the outside world. Seeing that as two people who were trapped in some makeshift fantasy realm was very demeaning. Not to mention, as two people who had lived for so long, they had also learned wariness.

And like the wary people that they were, they managed to tell that despite ganging up on Rael, they were lacking enough power to actually do anything. With the bit of Law of Fate and Law of Time that they had learned, they knew that any move they made that resulted in a fight would have them both dead within seconds.

As it so happens, Rael knew that too, but he chose to ignore that feeling since he had no intention of actually hurting these two. It would be kind of strange to kill them, since all they needed was some redemption and freedom. Rael didn't mind giving them that, in a way.

So with that in mind, Rael just smiled at them and said:

"It's nice to meet you two. You might not remember me, but I'm the person who gave you both extra powers when you first awakened. You in particular, Altros. You're the one I gave a bit more power to. Granted, I'm glad you managed to make good use of it, even going as far as nearly escaping the realm Gaia put you in."

Right as Altros was about to reply, Melissa chimed in instead.

"Who are you, really? Why have you even come here?"

Rael shrugged. "No reason. I was just bored, and I wanted to see how far you two have come. On top of that, I was in the mood to help you guys, but I just don't know what kind of help you'd really need. You two are like, what, terrorists now?"

He glanced around and noticed that most of the galaxy in this strange realm was destroyed or overtaken. The few worlds that had life were now either extinguished or on the brink of extinction.

It was a bit sad, if Rael was being honest. But then again, was it really his fault? Would anything have changed had he not intervened? Sure. They would've been in the loop until now. That also meant they wouldn't have done all of this and gotten Gaia away from him.

But it wasn't really living. No one deserved such torture. So while Rael did regret it to some extent, he didn't care much.

And now...

"Anyways, do you guys want to leave this place? What's your end goal? Are your parents still alive?"

The two of them exchanged a glance, then shook their heads at him.

"Our parents died from old age."

Melissa hit Altros's shoulder, then rolled her eyes. "You make it sound like they died early. No, they lived for 5,000 years, then died. They got bored of living since they were already plenty happy, and an eternity together seemed troublesome. So they decided to just go into hibernation, so they're essentially dead now."

Essentially dead, but not really dead, huh. Welp, so long as they didn't die in some tragic accident, Rael had no complaints. But then again, he did kind of want to see them one more time, since although they were shit people, from what his memories told him, they were still people who treated him well during his childhood.

Anyhow, it really didn't matter much.

"You said you can get us out?" she asked, flying a little closer to him. "Do it, and we'll be indebted to you."

Rael tilted his head slightly. "Yeah, you will. I'm just curious though, what exactly are your plans? I mean, after you escape this place and all. What do you intend to do? World domination?"

"Of course not. The only reason we destroyed all these worlds here was because they weren't real. They were stuck in loops, and we felt like the only way to get rid of those loops was by destroying every world that had a loop."

She glanced around, gesturing at all the destruction.

"That included our world too."

Hmm...

"So what is your goal, then?" Rael asked.

Melissa thought it over for a moment, then shrugged. "No idea. The two of us just want to explore the universe as it is. And we believe we're strong enough to do so without getting hurt. Plus, we were thinking of starting a faction for ourselves. A faction where the most powerful people gather, and we'd all be treated as equals."

A faint smile appeared on her face. "If there's ever a problem, we'd help each other out. I don't know if such a faction already exists over there, but at the very least, I want something like that to happen."

Rael stared at her before letting out a sigh. "So let's say you invite someone who has opposing views as you. Now that someone massacres a civilization, and they start getting hunted by the most powerful people in the universe. Would you still help them out if they were a part of your faction?"

"What...?"

Seeing his sister confused by the sudden question, Altros finally chimed in, approaching Rael and then puffing out his chest.

"A being like that wouldn't even be in our faction to begin with."

"Hmm... Because you can predict how someone would act when they feel safe and all-powerful, right?" Rael stated the obvious, then shrugged. "Look, I'm not saying you shouldn't go for it, but then again, you should make sure your goals are realistic."

"If you gather a group of the most powerful people in the universe and make them do stupid shit, they'd obviously take it for granted. I know I would. I would extort every one of you for all that you own. If you're starting a faction, start a faction with hierarchy and whatever else there is."

Letting them absorb his words, Rael finally nodded at them.

"Now let's get you out of here, shall we?"
