For this reason, and one even more important one, Alex put a bounty on the blood essence of a physically powerful, high-ranking Warbeast.

This blood essence became the foundation of the Warrior Crest, which was designed less to directly increase Udara’s physical prowess and more to further shore up her physical foundations—drawing inspiration from the history of the Amazons.

Alex shook his head as he pushed the idle thought out of his mind.

Udara’s hand roamed over her stomach and navel area.

“What about this Succubus Crest?” she asked.

Alex looked at the crest, and for a moment, the man of culture in him couldn’t help but smile at his creation.

But it was only for a moment. Alex quickly put on his professional face again and explained the product to his ‘client’.

“Now, the Succubus Crest is a bit interesting,” Alex said. “The fact that you can use—albeit subconsciously—a powerful [Charm] leads me to believe that you have significant mental or psychic talent.

“To awaken this, I used the purest Tailed Fox heartblood, its most mental energy-potent blood, to draw the Succubus Crest.

“The main secondary ability of the crest is to activate your mental or psychic energy, potentially allowing you to actively use your mental or psychic energy.

“If all goes according to plan, you will soon be able to use your Charm consciously. But more than that, you might also gain heightened perception of mental and emotional changes in a target, perhaps even influence them.

“Even if these active functions don’t come to pass, you will most likely gain other passive benefits from having activated mental energy, such as improved resistance to mental and emotional interference, charm or mind-influencing effects, and all-round greater mental resilience.”

For the most part, the Tailed Foxes, or rather Kitsune, were similar to the mystical Tailed Foxes of Alex’s previous life. The only difference was that the Kitsune here didn’t polymorph into beautiful human females who could seduce any man. Instead, they were masters of mental energy who used their mental prowess on their targets, making them see phantoms of their most ideal mate.

Since the target always saw their most ideal sexual partner, it was extremely difficult to withstand the ‘charm’ abilities of a Kitsune.

Alex designed the Succubus Crest using the potent mental energy flowing through the Kitsune’s heartblood to potentially stimulate Udara’s own usually dormant mental energy.

Alex looked down at Udara’s legs. His vision paused briefly at her thick thighs, which could give any man a pleasurable death, before moving lower to her shin and ankle area, where the Verdant Sigil Rune Tattoo rested.

The name of the Rune Tattoo was both an indication of the tattoo’s inspiration and a subtle homage to their current plane, which had given him many gifts that had boosted his repertoire.

“The Verdant Sigil was made using the core of a Treant,” Alex revealed. “I have injected the concentrated vitality and life force in the core into this Rune Tattoo.

“The Rune Tattoo is designed to improve your physical recovery. It also includes aspects of my own Everspring Tattoo, so the tattoo also increases Mana recovery.

“Since the rune was based on a Treant’s lifeforce, said recoveries should be even faster while your feet are on the ground—or rather, on the earth.”

Treants were well-known darling creatures of the earth. As long as they remained rooted in fertile soil, they could live very long lives and heal from even the most grievous injuries.

And it just so happened that this potential of theirs was locked within their core. As long as a Treant core survived, the outer wooden shell would regrow.

Alex did his best to impart these traits into the Verdant Sigil.

The Rune Master’s gaze travelled up Udara’s luscious body to her bust, resting upon the subtle Rune Tattoo on her sternum and between her relatively modest breasts.

Alex barely tore his eyes away from the perky mounds to focus on the tattoo in the valley between them.

The Harmony Mark extended over her sternum, curving over her breasts like a pair of curved horns.

“The Harmony Mark, as the name suggests, harmonises the effects of the other four Rune Tattoos, ensuring they synergise with each other rather than interfere with one another. Essentially, it turns these five runes into a set.

“Like the Warrior Crest, its main secondary function is quite boring, but perhaps the most important,” Alex said.

The Harmony Mark was more impressive than Alex had alluded to.

This simple tattoo was the quiet, subtle culmination of the development of Alex’s Rune-Tech glyphs following the absorption of Sigil principles, as well as principles relating to emotional energy.

The Harmony Mark served as a quiet mediator between Udara’s body and the Rune Tattoos plastered over it.

The Mark was connected to the Shadow Dancer’s body through the microbial drone interface in her cells, allowing it to monitor her bodily conditions in real time. Simultaneously, it was connected to the other Rune Tattoos via the Set Link.

Using real-time information from Udara’s body, the Harmony Mark influenced the functioning of the Rune Tattoo Set to match the information obtained—thus creating… well, ‘harmony’ between the two sides.

“Any questions?” Alex asked with a smile.

“Of course, Master.” Udara said, almost rolling her eyes. “When you described each Rune Tattoo, you only mentioned their ‘main secondary’ function. So, what’s the primary function of these Rune Tattoos?” she asked.

“That’s a good catch.” Alex smiled playfully.

Then he became a serious professional once more.

“Your five Rune Tattoos are not actually five ‘different’ runes in a set. In fact, all five are just a single large formation that I broke down to make it akin to a multi-node Grand Formation—something I was mainly able to get away with thanks to your body’s high affinity for Rune Tattoos.”

“And the function of this large Grand Formation is quite simple—to harmonise your bloodlines,” Alex revealed.

“Harmonise my bloodlines?” Udara raised an eyebrow.

Alex nodded.

He took a seat on a stool by the tattoo bed, his gaze becoming even more serious, almost as if he were about to discuss something of the utmost importance.

Alex spoke, “Ever since you told me about your bloodline composition—Amazon, Drow, Dryad, and Succubus—I have been intrigued by it.

“To the best of my knowledge, it is impossible for such a composition to exist naturally for this set of bloodlines. That led me to believe that your bloodline composition wasn’t innate but rather engineered by someone.

“And if that were true, any procedure that could produce such a result would require resources and know-how that could only be wielded by top organisations, even within Pangea.”
