The time was getting late, and Liang Xiao quickly asked, "Duoduo, do you have any scenes coming up? Let’s have dinner together tonight."

"I don’t have any scenes left. I’m free tonight. Are we all going together? Where do you plan to eat?"

No sooner had Yu Duoduo finished speaking than Liang Xiao turned to look at Mei Mengzhen, "Zhenzhen, are you okay with eating out tonight?"

"Actually, I still feel like vomiting, so I probably can’t manage to eat. You guys go ahead, just bring me back a bowl of porridge in the evening." Mei Mengzhen’s request was actually quite reasonable, but since she didn’t want to go, her brother definitely wouldn’t want to go either, "Sis, I’ll stay with you. I’ll have porridge too."

"Sis will just go back and lie down without doing anything, it would be too boring for you to stay with me."

Fan Tianyu agreed with Yan Keke’s remark, "Yeah, Zhenzhen, let’s go to the hospital. Anyway, we’re not all in the same car, so it’s alright if we make a detour to the hospital."

"I’m really fine, just a bit nauseous in my stomach, but I’m feeling better now. I’m just worried about eating after having just thrown up, that’s all. I truly am fine now, probably just need to sleep it off."

Mei Mengzhen carefully explained her condition, but her mind was preoccupied, thinking about some things from her past life.

Upon reaching the hotel, Mei Mengzhen led her brother and the group directly upstairs. "Okay, you go rest first. We’ll bring you up something else besides porridge," they said.

"Just bring it to me after you’ve eaten. I don’t feel like eating right now."

Mei Mengzhen hurried to remind them, worried that they might not even eat just to bring her food first. Fan Tianyu had brought some alcohol with him, having just given An Zhi two bottles and still having four bottles in hand, which he handed to Lai Xixi, who was closest to him, "You guys go on up. We’ll be up in a while."

After saying this, the rest of the group went up, picking up Huang Jing along the way, leaving only Fan Tianyu, He Yiran, Yan Keke, herself, and her brother downstairs.

Feeling uneasy under their watchful eyes, Mei Mengzhen asked back in the room, "What are you doing looking at me with those eyes?"

Yan Keke spoke mysteriously, "My intuition tells me you’re hiding something from me."

But then He Yiran said, "Zhenzhen, you’re not pregnant, are you? That Pei did something irresponsible, and you’re so young."

Fan Tianyu and Yan Keke both felt there was something going on, especially given how off Mei Mengzhen’s condition was, but they didn’t consider this possibility. "I can tell you’re not feeling well, we all can, but what this discomfort is about, we haven’t figured out yet. I need to hear it from you."

"Motion sickness," Mei Mengzhen explained feebly.

But of course, none of them believed her. He Yiran pressed, "We would have noticed if you were just motion sick. Don’t play that game, what was the situation just now?"

Yan Keke pushed further, "Zhenzhen, stop beating around the bush. I was watching you the whole time. You only started feeling off after seeing Yu Duoduo, and your whole demeanor changed when you found out that Liang Xiao knew Duoduo. You probably didn’t notice, but at the time your face turned pale as a ghost. I was so scared something was wrong with you that I hurried to open the umbrella for you. Who would have known that shortly after, you began throwing up. Later, even the way you greeted Duoduo was different from your usual demeanor – awkward. After that, your attitude toward Liang Xiao was clearly not the same. It wasn’t physical, but an instinctive inner rejection, yet veiled, as if you understood but didn’t. I couldn’t quite grasp what was happening, but considering all of this, I’m 90% sure the reason you threw up has to do with Yu Duoduo and Liang Xiao."

Yan Keke’s analysis was spot on, and He Yiran felt the same way. Even though she hadn’t seen the earlier reactions as they were too far away, it was pretty obvious that Mei Mengzhen’s feelings toward Yu Duoduo weren’t as warm as they were with other people.
