As soon as they got upstairs, Mei Yinan said, "Zhenzhen, don’t go back downstairs. Chenchen will just follow you around, and what if the kid gets hurt? Just stay up here and help your second aunt tidy up the house."

Mei Mengzhen naturally had no objections, as she was here to help anyway. Helping here or there made no difference. However, once she was upstairs, there was even less for her to do. She wanted to help with the large furniture, but the boys at home wouldn’t let her. After a tiring day yesterday, nobody had the energy to continue today, so they didn’t get many pieces of furniture moved upstairs during the morning. But not at the expensive restaurant Fan Tianyu had treated them to last time—her family couldn’t afford that. She directly asked, "Is there a good place to eat downstairs? Let’s eat somewhere nearby."

All the shops downstairs were fairly good and also very affordable. Fan Tianyu said, "There’s a restaurant in our community that’s quite decent. The portions are generous and the prices cheap. We used to eat there often when we first moved in."

After dinner came the question of where to sleep. We don’t have anything to do tomorrow, so we can help you organize."

Mei Yinan didn’t actually know about Mei Mengchen’s extracurricular lessons during the holiday. Fan Tianyu said, "There’s no need, I’ve already discussed with Chenchen. I’ll take care of taking him back and forth to school these next few days. The kid is busy with street dance, swimming, and sanda lessons. How would you manage to pick him up? I’ll handle it."
