Chapter 1000: A Belated Meeting
Chapter 1000: Chapter 1000: A Belated Meeting
Tang Yue regretted it; when it comes to the question of performance, men really care a lot!
Even though Si Yu had a leg injury, he still found ways to tire her out, with incredible stamina.
As for Tang Yue, afraid that Si Yu might hurt his leg, she stiffened her body and let Si Yu take the lead.
At night, Tang Yue was so exhausted that she slept until the sun was high in the sky and still couldn’t get out of bed.
Si Yu, who was the patient, got up earlier than Tang Yue.
Mo Xiaolin looked at Si Yu’s leg and asked, "How’s your leg doing?"
"Mom, it’s fine." Si Yu’s lips curved slightly with a very good mood. He said, "I’ve been recovering for so long now. If it weren’t for the doctor forbidding me from getting up, I could have been walking already."
"Oh you."
Mo Xiaolin smiled. No one knows a son better than his mother; how could she not know that Si Yu said this to prevent her from blaming Tang Yue?
From what she understands of her son, Si Yu was more than likely the initiator of all this.
Mo Xiaolin said, "I’m going to see your grandfather in a bit, so I won’t be back for lunch."
"Okay." Si Yu nodded, his dark eyes looked at Mo Xiaolin, but he said nothing.
"Your grandfather’s condition is stable, but since he’s aged, he can’t fully recover. We can only say he won’t get worse." Mo Xiaolin knew what Si Yu was thinking, and she said, "If you have time, go see him."
"You go if you want." Si Yu pursed his lips.
"Stubborn as a mule, don’t think I don’t know you?"
Mo Xiaolin gave him a sideways glance, knowing well that Si Yu was stubborn but soft-hearted.
"Alright, Mom, did you leave anything for Xiao Yue to eat?" Si Yu asked.
"I did. Mom of Xiao Yue already sent Zaozao and Chenchen to school, and she said she’s going to the restaurant and won’t be back for lunch." Mo Xiaolin explained, reminding him to get Xiao Yue up to eat before she left.
Wu Xin usually knew when to stay out of sight, hence there were only the two of them at home, making it very quiet.

Little Angel Children’s Clothing Store.
Lian Qingqing requested a half-day leave, planning to visit her sister, whom she was meeting for the second time.
Despite having met Shen Yunfei only once, Shen Yunfei already spoke for her.
Lian Qingqing stood outside, looking at the whimsical clothing store. Through the glass window, a small piece of clothing adorned a plastic mannequin, and despite not having children, she felt an urge to stop and perhaps buy something.
Such cute clothes.
Lian Qingqing marveled as she looked inside.
"Boss Sun, why are you standing outside today?" An old customer saw Lian Qingqing and enthusiastically came over to greet her. "The clothes and pants I bought here last year were not only stylish but also of the best quality. The clothes I bought elsewhere deformed after washing a few times and didn’t look nice."
"Boss Sun, I want to buy clothes for my grandson today. He’s seven years old. What should I get?"
The old customer said enthusiastically.
Lian Qingqing was somewhat uncomfortable with such enthusiasm from others, especially since the old lady had a sweaty smell.
Lian Qingqing took a few steps back.
"Boss Sun, what’s wrong with you?" The old customer looked Lian Qingqing over, feeling that something was off with Boss Sun today. Boss Sun was always clean and didn’t like to dress up, but today, Boss Sun was dressed very finely, looking quite different from her usual self.
Moreover, she wasn’t smiling, not at all like her usual approachable self.
"Granny Liu, are you here to buy clothes for your grandson again?" Sun Rou heard Granny Liu’s voice and came out. Sure enough, she saw Granny Liu standing outside, and the person talking to her was Lian Qingqing.
"Oh..."
Granny Liu was surprised to see Sun Rou coming out from the inside, then looked at the well-dressed Lian Qingqing. She couldn’t believe her eyes and said to Sun Rou, "Boss Sun, don’t you only have one sister? I’ve met her before, her name is Sun Qing. Oh, how come she looks just like you?"
Granny Liu was extremely surprised, looking back and forth between Sun Rou and Lian Qingqing.
"She’s my twin sister. However, she’s been abroad all this time." Sun Rou explained awkwardly. They looked so much alike that even she couldn’t deny they were sisters.
"I see. You sisters really look alike, equally beautiful." Granny Liu complimented.
Sun Rou smiled modestly, not sure how to respond.
Granny Liu enthusiastically looked at Lian Qingqing and asked, "Miss Sun, do you have a partner? I have an unmarried son."
Sun Rou felt uneasy hearing this. Granny Liu was too enthused, but she and Granny Liu’s son had absolutely no ties, nor any desire to get to know each other.
"My name is Lian." Lian Qingqing stepped back, her brows knitting slightly.
"Granny Liu, she’s already seeing someone." Sun Rou quickly interjected.
Granny Liu looked regretful and said, "Boss Sun, I really like you the most. Are you really not considering going on a date with my son? Why not give it a try?"
Granny Liu eagerly pushed forward.
Sun Rou awkwardly cleared her throat and changed the topic, "Granny Liu, we have a lot of new styles that would suit your grandson. Would you like to take a look?"
Granny Liu was immediately diverted and bought a set of clothes for her little grandson, leaving happily.
Sun Rou finally breathed a sigh of relief after sending Granny Liu off.
She turned around to find Lian Qingqing still attentively looking at the clothes, her gaze very focused.
Sun Rou approached and suggested, "Would you like to find somewhere to sit?"
"There’s a café around the corner."
Just as Lian Qingqing finished speaking, she was already heading out.
Inside the café, where gentle music played, Lian Qingqing sat by the window, her mind replaying the image of Sun Rou chatting with the old customer.
She didn’t know what it was like when she negotiated with partners, but she was sure she couldn’t be like Sun Rou.
Sun Rou exuded gentleness, even in her eyes. Her tone was very similar to hers, but from Sun Rou’s voice, she could hear genuine gentleness.
Her voice could be tender or soft or charming, but it never had the pure gentleness Sun Rou possessed, which gave people a feeling of spring warmth.
No wonder, no wonder Shen Yunfei was so moved seeing Sun Rou.
Even she, within this short half-hour, could identify so many differences between her and Sun Rou.
Sun Rou sold a few more pieces of clothing, then instructed the employee to watch the store before rushing to the café around the corner.
She’d been here before and tried the coffee, but it was too bitter for her taste.
"What kind of coffee would you like?" Lian Qingqing asked.
Sun Rou, not quite knowledgeable, ordered the latte she’d tried last time, which tasted nice.
Two sisters from the same mother, yet meeting for only the second time at age 27.
