Chapter 1005: Who Is the Bride?

Chapter 1005: Chapter 1005: Who Is the Bride?

Drums and gongs resounded, firecrackers crackled, and splendid fireworks lit up the night sky with the most beautiful brilliance.

"First bow to heaven and earth."

Lian Qingyang, dressed in formal attire with a groom’s red flower on his chest, held the bride’s hand, grinning from ear to ear.

"Second bow to the parents."

The festive hall was filled with joy. Lian He sat at the main seat, with Zhang Hualian beside him. There were many people around, and you could feel the festive atmosphere of the wedding even through the crowd.

"Bow to each other as husband and wife."

Lian Qingyang faced the bride with a red veil over her head, feeling an urge to lift it.

Amidst the teasing of the crowd, Lian Qingyang led the bride into the bridal chamber.

Lian Qingyang had always wanted to lift the veil to see the bride, but he just couldn’t lift it.

The scene shifted to lively guests congratulating one after another, blessing him for marrying such a beautiful bride.

The bride he married must be the best.

Proudly, Lian Qingyang thought to himself, with drink after drink, until his vision seemed even blurrier.

"Xiao Yang, you got married today. I wish you eternal happiness," Tang Yue said with her ever-sweet smile, raising a glass in blessing, making Lian Qingyang feel utterly comfortable.

"Sis, I will. And you must be happy for a lifetime too." Lian Qingyang sincerely said, "Even if I’m married, I’m still your brother."

"Alright, go be with your bride now." Tang Yue urged him, prompting him to return to the bridal chamber quickly.

Lian Qingyang’s steps were unsteady, due to having drunk too much.

On the bright red bed adorned with red dates, peanuts, longans, and lotus seeds, the bride sat by the bed in her vibrant red wedding dress. Even though her face was a blur, the breathtaking beauty lingered in his mind.

She smiled, like a spring breeze in March, sweeping across his face.

Lian Qingyang involuntarily stepped forward, held her hand, and in excitement, couldn’t resist squeezing it—how soft it was.

She smelled so wonderful...

Lian Qingyang slowly leaned closer to the bride, kissing lips softer and more fragrant than a hand.

Lian Qingyang turned over, pressing the bride beneath him on the gorgeous red bed, feeling a rush of passion.

In the haze, he could sense the beauty of the moment and the bone-chilling intimacy, feeling happiness within.

"Ah..."

Lian Qingyang suddenly woke up in a dark room. Sitting up, the vivid feeling of happiness from the dream made him couldn’t help but pat his forehead.

He mumbled to himself, "Is it because I’m getting older and my parents are urging me to marry that I want to get married too?"

Lian Qingyang pursed his lips, looking puzzled as if he couldn’t understand.

How could he have dreamt of marrying her?

Previously, the bride’s face was a blur, but after the intimacy, he saw her clearly.

She was so beautifully dressed that he couldn’t find words to describe her. Skin white as snow, fingers like scallion roots, beautiful eyes gleaming, smiling sweetly—every gesture seemed to captivate souls.

But, beautiful as she was, why was it her?

Could it be because of what his sister said yesterday, leading to such a dream?

That must be it.

Resolutely, Lian Qingyang thought, planning to forget this, but the more he tried to forget, the harder it got to forget. A gentle breeze brought a sense of unease to his body.

Blushing, Lian Qingyang immediately headed to the bathroom for a cold shower, standing under it for twenty minutes before quelling the heat inside. He returned to the room in big shorts, noticing the faint scent on the bedsheet and rolled it into a ball.

Lian Qingyang replaced the bedsheet, neatly arranged by Zhang Hualian, with ones smelling of sunshine, cleanly stacked in the cupboard. All he had to do was put a fresh one on.

Lying on the bed, Lian Qingyang shut his eyes, immediately greeted by the exciting red scene.

Lian Qingyang sighed deeply, finally deciding to get up and play a game, checking if there were any bugs left.

Playing for a while, initially fond of gaming as it made time fly, but today, he kept getting distracted.

"Xiao Yang, did you sneak out like a thief last night?" Tang Yue was shocked seeing the dark circles around Lian Qingyang’s eyes.

"I..." Lian Qingyang hesitated, unsure how to explain, and hurriedly left with his things.

"What’s going on?" Tang Yue muttered, watching Lian Qingyang’s hurried departure, wondering, "What is he carrying?"

Tang Yue headed to Lian Qingyang’s room, finding the door locked.

"Is this a little secret?" Tang Yue gazed at the closed door, feeling her silly brother had grown up!

Could he be hiding something improper?

Tang Yue let her mind wander, not inquiring further—this matter would let him deal with it himself. If it were serious, he wouldn’t keep it to himself and not speak up.

A week later.

"Sis, my new game is finished." Lian Qingyang excitedly shared the good news with Tang Yue, just as he reached home and saw Jin Yan holding several clothes, seemingly modeling new outfits for Tang Yue.

Jin Yan laid each piece before Tang Yue, waiting for her comments.

After Tang Yue spoke, she asked, "These are nice, you’ve improved. Xiao Yan, you can design independently now."

"Sister Xiao Yue, I just want to stay with you." Jin Yan chuckled, unwilling to leave. Spotting Lian Qingyang nearby, she couldn’t resist rolling her eyes, idiot.

"Sister Xiao Yue, I’m heading back to the studio."

Jin Yan said and walked out, ready for any retort from Lian Qingyang, but to her surprise, he said nothing.

Jin Yan looked at Lian Qingyang in surprise; was he avoiding her?

What’s going on?

Jin Yan pondered but said nothing more, hugging her clothes and leaving.

"Your game is finished? When can I play it? Install it for me." Tang Yue said expectantly and cheerfully, looking forward to Lian Qingyang’s game.

"I’ll run final tests over the next two days, and once it’s ready, I’ll install it for you." Lian Qingyang, usually negotiating major orders for the Lian Clan, felt thrilled only when making games.

"Congratulations."

Tang Yue scrutinized Lian Qingyang, eyes fixated on him.

Feeling uneasy under her gaze, Lian Qingyang asked, "Sis, why are you looking at me like that?"

"Is there something on my face?" Lian Qingyang touched his face; there was nothing on it.

"What’s going on between you and Xiao Yan?" Tang Yue probed.

Lian Qingyang’s expression turned extremely uncomfortable.

"Has something really happened?" Tang Yue raised an eyebrow, noticing how Jin Yan was the same as usual, but Lian Qingyang seemed different—between them, Lian Qingyang wasn’t prickly today.
