Chapter 1077: You’re Being Petty Again

Chapter 1077: Chapter 1077: You’re Being Petty Again

Just arrived home, Tang Yue was about to get out of the car when Si Yu caught her hand and said, "Xiao Yue, I can’t go home with you."

"Why?" Tang Yue looked at Si Yu with a puzzled expression and instinctively glanced at his still unhealed wound. His injury hasn’t healed; does he need to go back to the company?

"The matters entrusted by Hei Biao are very important, so I need to supervise," Si Yu explained, his eyes showing guilt. He had promised to accompany her for grocery shopping and dumpling making, but he had broken his word again.

"Does it have to be you?" Tang Yue was a bit worried; that person was too terrifying.

"But I’m the most familiar with him." Si Yu held her hand, about to persuade her, when Tang Yue looked up with bright eyes and said, "Alright, you’re going to supervise and command, you don’t have to personally take charge, right?"

"Right." Si Yu nodded.

"Then you go. We can have a dumpling-making contest next time just the same," Tang Yue said with a deliberately relaxed tone, repeatedly reminding him, "You must be careful."

"Okay, I promise not to get hurt," Si Yu said earnestly and confidently.

Tang Yue waved to Si Yu. To avoid making him feel bad, she teased him with a smile, "When you come back, who knows, the shrimp dumplings might be all eaten by us."

Zaozao and Chenchen especially love dumplings, particularly shrimp dumplings, which are their favorites.

"Then I’ll eat yours," Si Yu said with a meaningful tone.

It wasn’t until Tang Yue entered the house that she realized, how was Si Yu going to eat hers?

"Zaozao, Chenchen, we’re having dumplings tonight!" Tang Yue entered with the ingredients, greeted warmly by the enthusiastic children.

Lian He had already been discharged from the hospital; aside from not bumping his wound, he could walk without any issues and was currently staying at Tang Yue’s house.

"Mom, I want you to make them," Chenchen loved to act spoiled in front of Tang Yue and suddenly stretched her neck to ask, "Mom, why hasn’t Dad come back?"

Though he had gone too, wasn’t it said that Dad could stay at home for a long time?

"Your dad has some business; we’re making dumplings ourselves," Tang Yue washed all the ingredients while Ding Ling helped out.

Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian were busy at the restaurant, leaving Tang Yue and Lian He at home with the two kids, and Lian Qingyang had gone to the company and hadn’t returned.

Making dumplings isn’t difficult; the challenge is in preparing the filling. When the filling is done well, the dumplings turn out delicious.

Tang Yue finished making the dumplings, cooked them, and then Lian Qingyang returned.

"Sis, did you make shrimp dumplings?" Lian Qingyang immediately recognized the smell as Tang Yue’s dumplings; Mom liked to make chive-filling dumplings and rarely made shrimp ones.

"You really know how to pick the time; come quickly, they’re just finished." Tang Yue was scooping the cooked dumplings out of the pot while instructing Lian Qingyang, "Wash your hands and take a bowl to Dad first."

"Alright."

Eating dumplings always made Lian Qingyang particularly enthusiastic.

"Smells great." Lian Qingyang held the dumplings, hot and steaming, making the aroma instantly make him feel hungry.

"Dad, time for dumplings!"

Lian Qingyang placed the dumplings on the table, shouting towards the living room.

Before Lian He could respond, Zaozao and Chenchen had already run over, especially Chenchen, who clapped her hands excitedly at the sight of the dumplings, saying, "I love the dumplings mom makes."

"I’ll go wash hands."

Chenchen leaned over the table to smell the aroma before dashing away to wash hands.

Compared to Chenchen’s eagerness, Zaozao’s movements were unhurried, appearing quite composed.

Soon, a big pot full of dumplings was placed on the table, steaming hot dumplings, exuding a tempting aroma.

"Delicious."

Chenchen, her mouth stuffed full, didn’t forget to praise Tang Yue, saying, "The dumplings mom makes are the best."

Chenchen looked satisfied, and Zaozao’s eating was more graceful; judging by the dumplings quickly following one after another into his mouth, it was clear that Zaozao really liked the dumplings.

"Little rascal, all those dumplings Grandma made for you, eaten for nothing?" Tang Yue playfully glared at her, handing her a napkin to wipe her greasy lips.

"Grandma’s are delicious too, but Mom’s are the best," Chenchen blinked her big eyes, and the pair gazed at each other, their eyes obviously made from the same mold.

Chenchen’s mouth was stuffed, her big round eyes adorable no matter how you looked at them.

Lian He’s eyes were filled with happiness, a son, a daughter, and two charming grandchildren. His life has had its ups and downs, but the heavens have surely favored him.

The shrimp dumplings were fresh, both fragrant and flavorful, and made by Tang Yue’s own hands; the taste was as if laden with honey-like sweetness.

Lian He unknowingly ate more than twenty dumplings, his stomach feeling satisfyingly full.

Ding Ling, without drawing much attention, focused on eating dumplings, feeling as if she had found a treasure; Wu Xin Sister’s words were true, staying by Sister Tang’s side was truly blissful.

The dumplings were indeed delicious.

With her stomach full, Ding Ling saw there were still many dumplings left and couldn’t resist finishing a few more.

As she ate the shrimp dumplings, she silently vowed: I must protect Sister Tang well and strive to remain by her side.

"Sis, if only you could make dumplings every day." Lian Qingyang not only ate dumplings, but even finished the soup.

He rubbed his round tummy, reflecting wistfully that, unfortunately, Jin Yan was away on a business trip; otherwise, she would surely love his sister’s dumplings, as she too loved shrimp.

"Eat dumplings daily, do you want everyone to turn into dumplings?" Tang Yue teased. She would often make dumplings with Mom, sometimes making them herself, especially since Zaozao and Chenchen loved them so much that dumplings often appeared at breakfast.

"Wouldn’t you get sick of eating them every day?"

Lian He cherished his daughter; how could her beautiful hands be made to wrap dumplings every day?

"Xiao Yang, what’s going on with you and Jin Yan?" Lian He asked Lian Qingyang.

Lian He knew about Lian Qingyang’s relationship with Jin Yan; Jin Yan seemed like a good girl and got along well with Xiao Yue, so having Lian Qingyang marry her as a daughter-in-law didn’t seem bad.

"We’re doing well." Lian Qingyang helped clean the dishes.

Ding Ling’s hands moved fast, helping tidy up the table and clean the area. The three quickly made the dining room and kitchen spotless.

Zaozao and Chenchen went back to playing.

"Xiao Yang, you’re not young anymore; it’s time for marriage. Just while I’m recovering, arrange a meeting with the Jin Family to settle this marriage." Lian He, typically busy in Sea City with endless company matters, felt his visits to Jing City were like battles, rarely staying for more than a couple of days.
