Chapter 1101: If Only Sister-in-law Were Here Every Day

Chapter 1101: Chapter 1101: If Only Sister-in-law Were Here Every Day

The next day, Tang Yue groggily woke up.

Tang Yue glanced at the time; it was just six o’clock, and it was still dark outside.

She got up and quietly went to the kids’ room. Zaozao and Chenchen were already awake and were getting dressed.

"Why are you up so early? Go back to sleep for a while."

Tang Yue felt very sleepy, yawned, climbed into Chenchen’s bed, and lay down again to sleep.

"Mom."

Chenchen had just started to speak when she saw Tang Yue with her eyes closed, sleeping. Chenchen and her brother Zaozao exchanged a look and went back to sleep as well. Since mom was asleep, she didn’t want to disturb her.

She slept until almost eight o’clock, drifting in and out of sleep, and could feel her daughter moving around constantly. She guessed she was hungry.

Tang Yue got up to make breakfast for them—scallion fried egg noodles, a simple dish that the kids really liked.

After breakfast, Zaozao and Chenchen changed clothes and dashed off.

After tidying up the house, Tang Yue planned to check on the two kids. She wasn’t sure if they would adapt to the new school.

The school was right beside the company; a minute’s walk from the company would get her to the school’s large playground, where the kids were running.

In the crowd, Tang Yue immediately spotted Zaozao and Chenchen. Zaozao was always leading, running in first place.

Chenchen was also very impressive on the girls’ side; she was quick in running and other activities. A few little girls were chasing each other with Chenchen; her little braids swung back and forth, looking very cute.

Even though the winter sun was warm, the wind was biting, and the kids were still sweating heavily.

Tang Yue felt sorry for the kids, but her rationality told her she couldn’t stop their growth.

All she could do was make more delicious food to nourish their bodies.

After watching the kids run, Tang Yue returned home, cleaned up the house, and planned to go to the motorcade. Previously, Sister-in-law Jiang Lan had given her quite a few eggs, and Tang Yue thought she should definitely give something back as a return gift.

As soon as Tang Yue arrived at the motorcade, she met Jiang Lan and the others. Encouraged by Jiang Lan’s enthusiastic invitation, Tang Yue stayed for lunch at Jiang Lan’s house, bringing along a bottle of good wine, some pastries, and fruit.

The wine wasn’t cheap; it was high-quality. Although not old, it was fragrant. The pastries and fruit, while not particularly expensive, weren’t cheap either.

She brought them to Jiang Lan’s house, making Jiang Lan a bit embarrassed. She couldn’t tell the quality of the wine, but the packaging indicated it wasn’t lacking.

By noon, there were quite a few people at Jiang Lan’s house. Tang Yue wanted to help, but Jiang Lan and the other sisters-in-law noticed Tang Yue’s delicate hands and insisted she should not help. They all knew well that Tang Yue worked in fashion design and that her beautiful hands should not be used for washing vegetables or cooking.

Tang Yue helplessly picked up clean bowls and chopsticks to set them on the table. Although she wasn’t a frequent visitor to the motorcade, she was quite popular with the sisters-in-law, and now everyone’s lives were improving. Looking at Tang Yue’s smooth skin, they were immensely envious.

An idea occurred to Tang Yue; she began to share basic skincare tips with everyone. Unlike later generations where nine out of ten women maintained their skin, many of these people hadn’t noticed it yet. Those with better conditions might use some clam oil, and those with poorer conditions might wash their faces with rice water.

The Qingmeiren skincare products were all high-end priced. Although she had money, she couldn’t possibly send a set to everyone. However, she could share some simple beauty tips. There was a Qingmeiren cream particularly suitable for the northern winter, keeping the face from cracking and hands from freezing, with a pleasant fragrance, and it wasn’t expensive.

Tang Yue specifically took out the cream from her bag, along with several free samples, and distributed them to each sister-in-law. These were what Lian Qingxuan had stuffed into her bag when leaving, and they came in handy right now.

The small packaged samples, although not much, could be used sparingly and last quite a while.

"Smells so good."

"Feels smooth and tender on the face."

"Yes, really nice."

"How much is a bottle of this?"

"Next time, I want to buy a bottle too."

"Let’s go together."

Upon hearing Tang Yue mention the price, and knowing they could get a ten percent discount, everyone was clamoring to buy a bottle to try.

In present times, unlike before, when they couldn’t even afford meals, such a reasonably priced cream became everyone’s favorite.

Tang Yue gave away all the samples in her bag and shared the exact location of the store before leaving the motorcade.

When Tang Yue left the motorcade, everyone was reluctant to see her go.

Back home, she drank a large glass of water to soothe her dry throat, while playing music from her portable player, feeling quite cheerful as she cooked for the kids.

Her days at the company were quite pleasant, even making Zhao Xiang and the others exclaim: if only Sister-in-law were at the company every day.

Even Brother Meng seemed much softer, no longer like the cold-faced Yama, scolding severely for every small mistake.

"We’re home," Chenchen’s soft voice echoed in the hallway, and soon she ran in.

Following her was the calm Zaozao and behind them, Meng Siyu.

Just watching these two little and one big figure was very comforting. After washing his hands, Meng Siyu squeezed into the kitchen to help. In the small kitchen, the two of them chatted while cooking dinner.

Tang Yue babbled about the amusing things that happened at the company today.

Days quickly passed, and it was the fifteenth of Zheng Yue, the Lantern Festival.

After enrolling the kids and sending them to the school within the company, Tang Yue relaxed. Living in the company for over ten days, life was leisurely and pleasant, giving her a deep sense of security.

The loud bell, which Tang Yue had grown very accustomed to, rang at six in the morning. The school’s wake-up bell sounded, and she woke up. She had to prepare for hosting a meal today, so she got up early to start the preparations.

"Xiao Yue, let me help you," Jiang Lan volunteered to help, knowing Tang Yue was hosting.

"Sister Liu, thank you so much."

Tang Yue didn’t stand on ceremony; having someone help was naturally better.

Soon, several sisters-in-law came to help, making the house lively all of a sudden.

Everyone admired Tang Yue’s neatly organized home, with a sofa, refrigerator, washing machine, TV, and on the small coffee table, there were many fruits and snacks.

Though everyone’s house was the same size, Tang Yue’s home appeared better.

Perhaps it was the freshly painted white walls or the family photo of the four of them.

Or maybe it was the bouquet of fresh flowers on the table or the green plants on the balcony.
