Chapter 1133: Chapter 1133: Fell Asleep Just Like That?
Now that Tang Jun is safe, Si Yu can finally relax. As long as he’s alive, his eye problem is a minor issue that can be treated later.
He can finally give his wife some peace of mind.
Si Yu wished he had wings to fly to his wife’s side.
Unfortunately...
Si Yu felt a pang of regret in his heart.
After not sleeping for several days, he attended a bonfire party last night that went on until dawn. This morning, he woke up a bit past six, amounting to only a few hours of sleep—not nearly enough to recover from the fatigue of recent days.
On his way home, Si Yu thought about his two kids, whom he hadn’t seen in days. Despite his physical exhaustion, his heart brimmed with excitement and anticipation.
As soon as Zaozao and Chenchen got back from school, they saw Si Yu, who had just returned home. Bursting with excitement, Chenchen leaped into Si Yu’s arms: "Dad, I missed you."
"Dad, where’s Uncle?" Zaozao was still thinking about Uncle Tang Jun.
"Your uncle is recovering. He’ll be back in a few days." Si Yu picked up Zaozao as well, holding his well-behaved daughter in one arm and his understanding son in the other, filling his heart with an immense sense of contentment. He said, "You might get another auntie soon."
"Is Uncle getting married?" Zaozao looked at Si Yu.
Si Yu nodded and answered earnestly, "Very soon."
"Will the new auntie like Chenchen as much as our current auntie does?" Chenchen clung to Si Yu’s neck, referring to Jin Yan as her auntie.
"Of course, our Chenchen is so adorable. This new auntie will definitely like you too."
Si Yu gave Chenchen a kiss on the cheek.
Si Yu took Zaozao and Chenchen to the dining hall to eat. Both kids, especially the charming and well-mannered Chenchen, were much adored by everyone.
"Zaozao, Chenchen, I’ll head home first. Once you’ve played for a while, make sure to come back," Si Yu reminded them repeatedly, urging them to return home after having fun.
Returning to his room, the first thing Si Yu did was call Tang Yue, who was far away in another country.
Before he could dial, the phone rang.
"Honey." Si Yu leaned back on the sofa with a smile on his lips, as Tang Yue’s excited voice came through the line, "Did you go on a mission these past few days? I couldn’t reach you at all."
Tang Yue had just been trying her luck, not expecting the call to actually go through.
"Si Yu, guess what? My fashion show was a success. It’s been recognized and loved by many people, and I received a lot of orders!"
The first person Tang Yue wanted to share this happy news with was Si Yu, but unfortunately, she couldn’t reach him while he was on a mission.
Now that she finally got through, Tang Yue naturally wanted to share her joy.
"My wife is amazing. I knew you would succeed," Si Yu’s words carried a sense of pride.
Tang Yue ecstatically replied, "Weren’t you worried I might fail, or that people wouldn’t like my designs?"
"How could that be? People have eyes, you know." Si Yu implied that anyone with eyes would naturally appreciate Tang Yue’s designs.
Hearing this, Tang Yue couldn’t have been happier.
Tang Yue went on about the details of the fashion show, and Si Yu listened attentively.
Tang Yue’s voice was gentle, and Si Yu, exhausted as he was, initially tried hard to pay attention. But as she continued describing the little things happening in F Country, Si Yu initially responded with occasional remarks. Over time, however, her voice turned into a soothing lullaby.
Even without hugging his wife, he fell asleep to the sound of her voice.
"Si Yu?" Tang Yue spoke for a while and noticed no response from Si Yu.
"Si Yu?"
Tang Yue called out a few more times without any reply. She closed her mouth and listened closely to the sound of Si Yu’s steady breathing over the phone. After a moment, she realized, "Are you asleep?"
Lowering her voice, Tang Yue called out a few times more, but hearing only the sound of his breathing over the still-live call, she softly asked, "How long have you been without sleep?"
With compassion in her voice, Tang Yue, with no urgent matters on her hands, held onto the call, unwilling to hang up. Listening to his even breathing, she slowly grew sleepy herself, eventually hanging up the phone and turning over to rest.
These past few days, she too hadn’t been sleeping well due to concerns about the fashion show.
Zaozao and Chenchen, after running around all afternoon, returned home. Seeing Si Yu lying on the bed, Chenchen was just about to jump on him when Zaozao stopped her.
"Brother, what are you doing?" Chenchen looked discontentedly at Zaozao.
Zaozao put a finger to her lips, signaling for quiet, and said, "Dad must be tired. Didn’t you see the red veins in his eyes?"
"Oh." Tilting her head, Chenchen agreed.
Zaozao continued, "Let’s cover Dad with a blanket and bathe ourselves before going to sleep. Chenchen, you’re not still expecting Dad to help you bathe, are you?"
"Who says so?"
Slightly provoked by Zaozao, Chenchen went to take her bath independently, not requiring Dad’s assistance with dressing, nor their grandma’s. Today, she even dressed herself.
She was even able to blow-dry her own hair.
With a proud smile, Chenchen exclaimed, "Look, brother, I can do everything myself."
Zaozao looked at her calmly and said, "If you can do everything, why do you need anyone’s help?"
"I..."
Annoyed, Chenchen glared at him—her brother was so bothersome.
"Hmph, I’m going to sleep."
Chenchen ran back to her room to sleep.
Zaozao struggled to carry a small blanket over to gently cover their dad.
"Dad, I’ll grow up quickly."
With a serious expression, Zaozao declared.
When he grew up, he could help Dad with things, so Dad wouldn’t have to work so hard.

Changshui Village.
Yuan Yu’s cold hadn’t improved but had worsened; her voice became hoarse, and her fever came and went repeatedly. Weak and exhausted, she lay motionless on the bed.
Tang Jun, with his vision impaired, grew anxious and frustrated. He wanted to personally brew medicine for Yuan Yu but was unable due to his eyesight.
"Brother Tang, you just stay with Sister Yuan. I’ll make the medicine," the young girl seized the herbs from Tang Jun’s hands and went off to brew the medicine, ushering Tang Jun back into the room.
"I’ll be okay, just need a few days of rest."
Yuan Yu lay on the bed, watching Tang Jun make his way toward her, fumbling along. She quickly advised, "Walk to the left, don’t bump into the chair."
Yuan Yu’s warning came a moment too late; Tang Jun hit the chair and stumbled forward.
"Careful!"
Yuan Yu said worriedly. She tried to sit up, only to be overcome by a coughing fit that forced her back down.
