Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets

Chapter 1151: Tang Yue Returns

Chapter 1151: Chapter 1151: Tang Yue Returns

Jing City Airport.

"Sister Xiao Yue, are you going to the company or heading back to the Siheyuan?" Jin Yan asked playfully, this time they spent half a month traveling back and forth. After completing their own show, the next step was to finalize some orders. Jin Yan followed Tang Yue and only managed to squeeze in two days to see over a dozen shows.

While in Country F, they were so busy that they barely had time to eat. Jin Yan occasionally took advantage of meal times to call Lian Qingyang. Perhaps absence makes the heart grow fonder, Jin Yan felt that after being apart for such a period, she really missed that "sheep."

"If you want to see Xiao Yang, you can just say so," Tang Yue teased with a smile.

Jin Yan, blushing, looked at Tang Yue and stubbornly denied, "Who’s going to see him? I’m going home first." Then she’ll go find Lian Qingyang.

"Let me call Tang Jun first, and then decide where to go."

Tang Yue said this as she called Tang Jun. A few days ago, she spoke with Tang Jun over the phone. Tang Yue always felt uneasy, as both Tang Jun and Meng Siyu were the type to only share good news and hide bad news. Why would he be home if he just took a vacation after returning to the company?

If he’s not seriously injured, why would he be home?

Unfortunately, both Tang Jun and Meng Siyu are the same. No matter how she inquired, they wouldn’t say. They only told her not to worry and to complete her work in Country F properly.

Tang Yue called several times but couldn’t reach Tang Jun, so she decided to go to the company first. She said, "Li Yongmei, you all go home and rest well. After a few days, write down your insights from the past few days. After watching so many fashion shows, I’m sure you all have a lot of reflections. Maybe you’ll be bursting with inspiration, right?"

"Right."

Li Yongmei and others nodded together. This half-month trip to Country F felt like opening a new world. They all felt incredibly lucky to follow such a good boss like Tang Yue. If they hadn’t followed Tang Yue, how could they have directly experienced fashion shows in Country F, and even personally participate in hosting a major fashion show?

Their classmates, seniors, and mentors are still at some companies, not getting recognized.

"Sister Tang, we’ll write our reflections well and strive to design more beautiful clothes," Du Jiajia said excitedly.

Yang Na echoed, "Sister Tang, I feel like a sponge soaking up knowledge."

"Haha."

Jin Yan joked, "Yang Na, isn’t a sponge supposed to absorb water?"

"Sister Jin, even if it’s water, it’s not just ordinary water, but an ocean of knowledge," Yang Na retorted blushing.

"Impressive."

Jin Yan gave Yang Na a thumbs-up, acknowledging her quick response.

The group chatted and laughed as they left the airport, then went their separate ways. Tang Yue assigned two people to protect Yang Na and Li Yongmei as they returned, and first dropped Jin Yan at home before heading to the Siheyuan. The Siheyuan was clean, as if someone had been living there all along.

Tang Yue tidied up her luggage, which included various gifts she brought back for everyone, as well as some food.

"Ding Ling, you take a rest too. I’ll go to the company by myself," Tang Yue said while packing a few clothes, her skincare products, and the gifts for Zaozao and Chenchen, then set off.

Besides the presents for the two kids, Tang Yue also brought gifts for Meng Jin and Mo Xiaolin.

She brought wine from Country F for Meng Jin, and perfume and bags for Mo Xiaolin.

This time, when Tang Yue returned, she bought a lot of perfume to share with the sisters Xu Huan and Xu Le.

"I’ll take you to the company and then come back to rest," Ding Ling insisted strongly on this point.

Although the road to the company is pretty safe, better safe than sorry.

The previous events in Su City already had Ding Ling on tenterhooks, and she didn’t want any unexpected incidents.

"Alright."

Tang Yue thought about driving to the company herself and having Ding Ling drive back, allowing Ding Ling to rest for a while.

"Let’s go now. I’ll buy some groceries at the market, and there’s still time to cook them a meal." Tang Yue quickly packed her things and ran to the nearby market to buy groceries. She hadn’t seen the two children in half a month and wondered if they had grown taller or missed her.

At the company, Tang Yue asked, "Do you want to stay for dinner?"

"No, I’ll go home and rest," Ding Ling replied without hesitation. She didn’t want to stay and be disliked by certain people, and besides, as the family reunites, she’d rather not intrude.

Tang Yue reminded her to take it slow on her way home and hurried back to the company.

On the way, she ran into many people who greeted her.

"Hey, I heard you went abroad, is it true that you’ve returned?"

"Yes."

Tang Yue replied with a smile, briefly chatting with them before returning to her place.

Tang Yue’s gentle nature meant she didn’t exaggerate her overseas trip, treating it like an ordinary business trip. Watching Tang Yue’s back, her neighbor remarked silently about how approachable and pleasant she was, just like the rumors said.

Back at her residence, Tang Yue got busy, first cooking some sweet and sour ribs, then washing the vegetables. Seeing that there was still time, she tidied up the house a bit.

The clothes of the two kids and Meng Siyu were all washed and dried by Meng Siyu, and the house was quite clean, so tidying up wasn’t a hassle.

The sweet and sour ribs smelled delicious, and Tang Yue also stewed a duck, stir-fried some beef, loved by the whole family, and prepared some greens. Three courses and one sweet dish, with meat and vegetables—just perfect.

"Mommy!"

Chenchen smelled the aroma and knew Mommy was back, happily running over to Tang Yue.

Though Zaozao wasn’t as demonstrative as Chenchen, her eager steps and the joy in her eyes showed her happiness.

"Zaozao, come here quick."

Tang Yue hugged Chenchen and reached out to Zaozao.

Zaozao was a bit shy but still dashed into Tang Yue’s arms, snuggling beside Chenchen.

"Mommy missed you, did you miss Mommy?" Tang Yue kissed the two children, carefully observing them. Perhaps it was her imagination, but they seemed to have grown taller.

"Yes."

Chenchen said loudly, Zaozao nodded, her eyes filled with longing, speaking volumes.

"By the way, did you see Uncle Tang Jun?"

Tang Yue asked.

Zaozao and Chenchen glanced at each other, quickly saying, "We saw Uncle Tang Jun."

"Xiao Yue, you’re back?"

Meng Siyu had just finished a meeting when a staff member reported that Tang Yue was back. He didn’t hesitate and rushed over as quickly as possible. As soon as he entered the door, he heard Zaozao and Chenchen’s words, blocking them with a swift movement and pulling Tang Yue into his embrace.
