Chapter 865: Little Princess and Big Princess
Chapter 865: Chapter 865: Little Princess and Big Princess
Tang Yue was completely speechless with Zhang Minmin’s way of shirking responsibility. Does she really trust her that much, not afraid of picking a lousy script for her?
"By the way, Minmin has to shoot two sets of advertisements this year: one for winter and another for summer during winter."
As soon as Tang Yue asked, Zhang Minmin agreed without any pressure, saying, "Xiao Yue, don’t worry, I’ll definitely shoot them."
"And, you should have an award ceremony at the end of the year. I’ll make sure to prepare your clothes in advance. You must maintain your figure, or else you can’t blame me if you gain weight and can’t fit into your clothes." Tang Yue’s words were like a knife stabbing into Zhang Minmin’s heart.
Zhang Minmin wished she could throw away the chicken leg in her hand. She still had chicken in her mouth and looked at Tang Yue with great resentment, saying, "Xiao Yue, you’re too harsh. I can understand if my agent doesn’t let me eat, but you, as my friend, don’t let me eat either."
"The clothes are tailored to your figure. Even a little bit of extra will ruin the image when you wear them." Tang Yue gently stroked her belly, feeling the baby inside, and was in a very good mood.
Looking at the chicken leg she had eaten more than half of, Zhang Minmin finally took a bite and said, "Xiao Yue, don’t worry, I’ll definitely be slim then. I won’t get fat."
Tang Yue chuckled at Zhang Minmin’s appearance, finding her quite adorable, and asked, "By the way, have you seen Tingyu?"
"I did. She’s such a busy person. I only got to see her this morning, and that was only because we were having lunch together," Zhang Minmin couldn’t help but say, "You wouldn’t believe it; I invited her to a restaurant outside, yet she insisted on having a work meal with her."
"It was awful."
Except for the first two years, which were quite rough, Zhang Minmin’s conditions improved after taking on more roles and having an agent. With clothes provided by Tang Yue from spring to winter, she never lacked anything to wear. After having Tang Yue’s clothes, she wasn’t attracted to other clothing brands at all.
When it came to food, Zhang Minmin never compromised on herself. Although she paid attention to what she ate daily to maintain her figure, she never compromised on taste. Having a work meal with Zhang Tingyu today, the taste was no different from eating in the cafeteria.
"Having something to eat is already good enough," Tang Yue couldn’t help but glance at her. When you’re busy at work, having something to eat is already a luxury, and yet you complain about the taste.
"Honestly, I don’t know why she wants to be a lawyer. She’s in a business suit every day and can’t even wear a beautiful dress." Zhang Minmin was full of complaints about Zhang Tingyu’s clothes and food.
"Business suits are nice," Tang Yue seemed to recall something. Although she had made formal suits before, she hadn’t created a series of business suits. If one wore a formal suit, the design should be quite appealing.
Who said formal suits weren’t nice?
The business suits worn by female executives in later years, small blazers, pencil skirts paired with white shirts — versatile and good-looking, making one appear competent.
Small blazers and white shirts may look the same, but design-wise, they can be incredibly versatile. If a series were created, it should look pretty good?
The more Tang Yue thought about it, the better the idea seemed.
"What’s nice about that?" Zhang Minmin saw Tang Yue a bit lost in thought and said, "Xiao Yue, what are you thinking?"
"Nothing, I just think Tingyu being a lawyer is great. It’s her passion, just like you love acting." Tang Yue smiled slightly, saying, "In my opinion, Tingyu will become a renowned lawyer in the future. You should maintain a good relationship with her."
"Why?" Zhang Minmin was utterly confused.
Tang Yue gave her a sidelong glance and said, "In the future, if you ever need to go to court, you’ll have to find Tingyu, won’t you?"
Zhang Minmin: "..."
She simply stopped talking. That evening, Zhang Minmin reluctantly left after having dinner at the Tang Family’s place. She wanted to stay a few more days, but once the script was confirmed, it wouldn’t be long before she went back to work. Besides, her previous drama still needed voice dubbing.
"Honey, let me listen."
At night, Meng Siyu accompanied Tang Yue as they rested. He couldn’t help placing his ear on her belly. As time passed, he increasingly felt the baby’s movements inside. As soon as he put his ear on her belly, he felt a sudden bulge.
"Like the baby’s little foot," Meng Siyu, with his good eyesight, sat up immediately after being kicked.
"Hahaha~"
Tang Yue stifled a laugh and said, "Your baby kicked you."
"I’m not afraid of being kicked, but does it hurt you?" Meng Siyu touched her belly, fixedly watching the high bump, then felt another spot bulge and disappear.
Tang Yue felt as if the two babies inside were having a tussle. One moment one side would bulge, the next moment the other side would. Although it didn’t hurt, the sensation was quite magical.
"It doesn’t hurt."
Tang Yue grinned widely and said, "The feeling of the babies inside the belly is really strange. By the way, what names should we give our kids in the future?"
The babies had been in her womb for seven months and could come out anytime, so it’s never too early to start thinking about names.
"Meng Shuqing, Meng Shulang, how about that?" Meng Siyu immediately mentioned the names he had carefully picked from a dictionary, ones he loved most.
Shu means to spread out, and the characters Qing and Lang don’t need much explanation. As a father, he wished for a bright and promising future for his two children.
"They sound nice, but how are you so sure we’ll have one boy and one girl? What if there are two boys or two girls?" Tang Yue, though hoping for twins of both genders, knew that some things couldn’t just be wished into reality.
"I have a feeling there will be twins, just like you and Xiao Yang," Meng Siyu said, blinking his deep-set eyes, "We can always come up with better names later."
"Okay." Tang Yue nodded as well. As long as they named them for now, having some spares would be a good idea, too.
For nicknames, Tang Yue liked Tuantuan and Yuanyuan, though seemingly popular choices.
"Pingping and Anan are not bad either."
"Kuai and Lele also sound nice."
Meng Siyu suggested two names in a row, and Tang Yue quickly interrupted, "Si Yu, let’s take our time with choosing nicknames."
Tang Yue lay on her side, facing Meng Siyu, and felt the warmth of his gentle gaze. She loved his temperament, which gave her a sense of security. She said, "What if there are really two sons or two daughters?"
"No worries. Even if they’re two sons, we can afford to raise them, and two daughters would just be our little princesses at home." Meng Siyu gently lifted her hair and added, "And you are the big princess of our home."
