Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets

Chapter 896: Beg Me

Chapter 896: Chapter 896: Beg Me

Last time she came to get the clothes, it wasn’t her, but her agent. She’s been wanting to see the two kids, but she just hasn’t had the time.

"They’re inside, sleeping right now." Tang Yue led Xie Ni into the room, where little Zaozao and little Chenchen were sweetly asleep on the small bed. Compared to when they were first born, the two kids have grown quickly with the wind. Their originally red and wrinkly faces had grown into plump, round cheeks, pink and smooth like freshly shelled eggs.

The two little babies in pink and blue clothes, as time goes by, you can gradually see the differences between the siblings.

"So cute." Xie Ni bent over to look at the two kids, sometimes glancing at Zaozao, sometimes at Chenchen, and asked, "Is this the brother? Called Zaozao?"

"Yes, the one in pink is the sister, called Chenchen." Tang Yue’s face was gentle, and seeing Xie Ni’s envious expression, she couldn’t help but think of her past life. Xie Ni hadn’t gotten married then, yet had a child surrounded by mystery, leaving many guessing about the child’s real parentage.

"Xiao Yue, I’m so jealous of you, having two adorable babies at once." Xie Ni stared unblinkingly at the two kids, even though they were just past a month old, they were the most beautiful babies Xie Ni had ever seen. To compare them with any other, it would have to be the ones painted in artwork.

"You’re so beautiful. Any children you have are sure to be stunning." Tang Yue said with a giggle. She and Xie Ni quietly left the room. As they walked, she asked, "Sister Xie, you’re so outstanding. I bet admirers line up all the way to the Great Wall for you. Isn’t there anyone you fancy?"

Tang Yue asked, pretending to be casual.

"Xiao Yue, it’s not as exaggerated as you say." Xie Ni chuckled, amused by Tang Yue’s exaggerated metaphor.

Tang Yue tilted her head and questioned, "How is it not exaggerated? Sister Xie’s fans love you dearly."

"Fans are fans; they only like my songs." Xie Ni’s smile was like a spring breeze, fresh and unpretentious, her eyes deep and mysterious. At that moment, her gaze turned somewhat dreamy, and a hint of sadness seemed to flash beneath her eyes, making Tang Yue’s imagination run wild.

Is there a story behind Xie Ni?

Tang Yue pondered, but didn’t ask further.

At dinner, Lian Qingyang also came. Jin Yan arrived out of breath, borrowing the Tang family’s bicycle to rush to the studio to grab a notebook. Excitedly, she said, "I brought the notebook. Can you help me get a few more autographs?"

Jin Yan had chosen the best notebook to buy, with a hard cover featuring Minnie Mouse and thick pages inside.

At this moment, Jin Yan opened the notebook, and right on the first page was Xie Ni’s photo.

Tang Yue leaned in for a closer look. This notebook truly opened the door to memories. In the past, she did similar things, putting stickers of celebrities she liked in notebooks, adding a few words, sometimes copying down lyrics—it was all full of memories.

"Sure." Xie Ni took the pen, signed her name next to the photo, and wrote several words—Wishing you smooth sailing ahead and may you soon find your white horse prince.

"Thank you." Jin Yan looked at the signatures and words, dancing excitedly.

Lian Qingyang stood at the side, completely unable to understand Jin Yan’s excitement.

"Can I look at the back?" Xie Ni asked.

"Sure." Jin Yan felt a bit embarrassed.

As Xie Ni flipped through the pages, they were filled with her photos and her songs.

Jin Yan’s handwriting was very graceful, just like her, pleasing to the eye.

Xie Ni praised, "You have put a lot of effort."

These songs were arranged chronologically.

"I really like your songs. Ever since your first album, I’ve been a fan." Jin Yan, talking about this, was overflowing with words, endlessly enthusiastic, with words filled with undeniable excitement.

"What good are a few signatures? You could take a photo together." Lian Qingyang couldn’t bear Jin Yan’s adoration, feeling she wouldn’t mind having Xie Ni fill the notebook with autographs.

A photo?

Jin Yan’s eyes lit up immediately. Yes, she had been focusing on signatures and hadn’t thought of taking a picture.

"But I don’t have a camera." Jin Yan looked troubled, though there was a camera at home, it was treated like a treasure, and she didn’t know how to use it. Besides, Xie Ni wouldn’t be here long; she’d soon be catching a plane elsewhere.

Even if she rushed home to get it, she wouldn’t make it in time.

Tang Yue heard this and immediately looked at Lian Qingyang. For some reason, she felt that when Lian Qingyang and Jin Yan were together, it inexplicably felt very harmonious.

"I have one." Lian Qingyang stood tall, wearing a proud expression with a smile that said, "My camera is the latest model; the pictures are very clear."

"Then what are you waiting for? Bring it here." Jin Yan got up immediately, almost wanting to search Lian Qingyang’s room.

"Where is it?"

Jin Yan dragged Lian Qingyang outside.

"But why should I bring it?" Lian Qingyang stalled, unwilling to move, his slow words nearly making Jin Yan explode in frustration.

Jin Yan said angrily, "Lian Qingyang, you’re too stingy. Can’t I just borrow your camera? I’ll pay for the film."

If she weren’t pressed for time, she wouldn’t have borrowed Lian Qingyang’s camera.

Lian Qingyang’s eyes flickered and focused on Jin Yan’s angry expression, finding it especially cute. He went to get the camera but held it up high, teasing, "Want it?"

"Of course." Jin Yan rolled her eyes, even a simple eye-roll seemed adorable to Lian Qingyang.

"Then beg me." Lian Qingyang said smugly.

Jin Yan’s dark eyes watched him and asked, "You really won’t give it to me?"

"Beg me, and I’ll give it to you." Lian Qingyang playfully replied.

Jin Yan turned around and walked away.

Lian Qingyang watched her decisive departure and couldn’t help but shout, "Hey, Jin Yan, you really don’t want it?"

He muttered, "It was just a joke, you’re giving up too easily."

Before he finished mumbling, Tang Yue’s voice came from the room.

"Lian Qingyang, you’re getting bold!" Tang Yue stood at the doorway, giving Lian Qingyang a meaningful look.

Seeing Tang Yue upset, Lian Qingyang rushed forward and said, "Sis, it’s a misunderstanding. Don’t listen to her nonsense; I was just teasing her. Of course, I’ll lend the camera!"

"See, I’ve got the film loaded. Tell me where you want to take the photo, and I’ll take it for you." Lian Qingyang said with a chuckle, subtly glaring at Jin Yan.

Jin Yan stuck out her tongue playfully, her face beaming with a bright smile.
