Chapter 907: Xinyue Studio
Chapter 907: Chapter 907: Xinyue Studio
"Sister Deng, I found a place for you to stay." The house Tang Yue was talking about belonged to Lian Qingyang. He had several empty properties, and since he lived here, it was convenient to arrange one for Deng Lanhua and her husband.
The studio near Jinghua University and the house where Sister Sun Qing lived were nice, but since Brother Qi also lived there in the Siheyuan, it was a bit inconvenient. So, Tang Yue didn’t arrange for Qi Song and Deng Lanhua to stay there.
"No need, we’ll just stay at the factory, it’s fine." Deng Lanhua repeatedly declined.
Tang Yue laughed and said, "When you came last time, I was too busy to pay attention to accommodation issues. Now you can stay there, it’s my brother’s house, and it’s empty anyway. You living there will give the house some life."
"Everything is furnished; you don’t need to add anything." Tang Yue had already discussed this with Lian Qingyang in advance.
Lian Qingyang, upon hearing about arranging accommodation, handed several keys to Tang Yue.
Tang Yue chose a nearby house for Qi Song and Deng Lanhua to live in.
"Xiao Yue is so kind to us." Deng Lanhua originally thought it was just a temporary accommodation and didn’t think much of it. But upon entering the house, she found it to be really splendid, a two-story building with furnishings looking quite expensive.
"No, we can’t stay here." Deng Lanhua felt it was inappropriate.
Qi Song stopped her: "Lanhua, Xiao Yue had mentioned before that we should stay here. It’s inconvenient to change places now. We just need to take care of everything here."
"Lanhua, this great favor will always be remembered. You focusing on designing clothes and doing factory work will be the best repayment to her." Qi Song, doing business himself, couldn’t repay the favor directly, so he passed the responsibility to Deng Lanhua.
"Yes, if we insist on not staying, Xiao Yue will have to find another place for us, let’s not trouble her." Deng Lanhua sat on the sofa, feeling surreal.
Time passed day by day, and the studio was officially completed.
The new studio is only separated from Tang Yue’s house by a wall. A moon gate was built, allowing direct access from one yard to the next.
The studio is divided into three parts: a warehouse, a workspace, and a reception area. Tang Yue put a lot of thought into the decor, with wooden flooring in the reception area, a fabric sofa set, and a cup of tea ready for discussions; it’s a pleasant setting.
It’s not just a reception area; it also includes a fitting room, fully functional, making even trying on clothes an enjoyable experience.
On an auspicious day, Tang Yue started moving the studio. Meng Si Yu was busy and couldn’t come, but he reminded Tang Yue in the morning not to work too hard and to let Lian Qingyang handle the heavy stuff.
Tang Mingli specially selected some workers from the factory to help with the move. Though it’s just a small studio, there are actually a lot of items inside.
Especially in the warehouse, various fabrics piled up like a mountain. Fortunately, the new studio’s warehouse was designed with ample storage space, allowing for neat organization.
Adding many items to the studio made everyone particularly happy.
In the evening, everyone gathered for a joyful meal. Lian Qingyang said, "Sis, shouldn’t your studio have a name?"
"Naming it?" Tang Yue hadn’t really thought about this.
Qin An Yu also agreed, "Xiao Yue, I think Xingyao Studio would be a good name."
"That won’t work." Tang Mingli objected, "Qin An Yu, Xiao Yue is not only the designer for your Xingyao but also for our Ming Yue."
"That doesn’t mean it can’t be called Xingyao, right?" Qin An Yu liked Xingyao very much; Xingyao Clothing Company and Xingyao Clothing Factory felt familiar to her.
Tang Mingli and Qin An Yu argued, neither willing to give in. As they seemed about to start fighting, Tang Yue couldn’t help but intervene, "Uncle, Sister An Yu, please stop. I plan to make the studio independent."
"From now on, whether it’s Xingyao or Ming Yue, we’re all in a collaborative relationship." Tang Yue said with a smile, as she had planned this beforehand. Also, the designers are considered part of her studio, and she’s responsible for paying their salaries.
"As for the studio’s name, it will be ’Xinyue Studio,’ what do you think?" Tang Yue looked forward eagerly.
Though she’s not great at naming, she immediately liked the name Xinyue Studio.
Even if Tang Mingli and Qin An Yu felt reluctant, they respected Tang Yue’s decision.
So, Xinyue Studio was officially established, with Lian Qingyang enthusiastically volunteering to make the signboard.
A week later, when the signboard was up, Tang Yue instantly loved it. The quaint sign complemented the whitewashed Siheyuan walls, hanging beside the courtyard entrance; it looked like a picture.
"Xiao Yang, this deserves a reward." Tang Yue said happily.
Lian Qingyang’s eyes lit up immediately, "Sis, then come with me to Sea City. We can take a family picture there."
Lian Qingyang yearned for a family portrait, now having mom and sis but still lacking grandpa and dad. He really wanted a complete family photograph.
"If I have time, I’ll visit Sea City." Listening to Lian Qingyang, Tang Yue couldn’t refuse. Her bright eyes watched him fondly, proud to have such a sincere-hearted brother.
"By the way, Xiao Yang, my computer seems to be getting slow; should I reinstall the system?" Tang Yue led Lian Qingyang into the studio, where there were two computers—one for Tang Yue’s exclusive use, and the other for Jin Yan and the others.
Tang Yue missed the future computers dearly. The current clunky computers were indeed very slow.
"Sis, I’ll optimize it for you later." Lian Qingyang tinkered with it, "But, Sis, haven’t you taken computer electives? What did you learn?"
Tang Yue: "..."
Lian Qingyang chuckled, "So our awesome campus belle also has areas she’s not good at."
Tang Yue glared at him, "Can we not talk about this?"
She worked hard and put in effort, but unfortunately had no talent for computers. No matter how hard she tried, she only managed to pass barely, not failing, but mastering was far off compared to Lian Qingyang.
"Hahaha~" Lian Qingyang’s laughter was quite smug.
"No sweet and sour ribs for you today." Tang Yue squinted at him.
Lian Qingyang’s smug smile froze immediately, sulking and looking at Tang Yue pitifully, "Sis, you can’t do this to me!"
They initially agreed that she would make sweet and sour ribs for him to eat because of his beautiful sign making!
