Chapter 926: The Scent of Wildflowers

Chapter 926: Chapter 926: The Scent of Wildflowers

"Oh, I saw them." Tang Yue vaguely remembered; mainly, she met too many people yesterday. However, during dinner, she did see two children. Those two kids were extremely quiet, seemed very sensible, and easily overlooked due to their low presence.

"They weren’t always this quiet, but because..." Lian Qingzhi didn’t finish her sentence, but Tang Yue understood the meaning. The family environment is indeed very important for children.

"Are you taking us to Sister Xuan’s shop today?" Tang Yue changed the topic and asked.

Her parents were still in the car, discussing this topic wasn’t very appropriate.

Lian Qingzhi seemed to notice the change and followed Tang Yue’s lead in shifting the conversation.

"Dad, let me hold him." Tang Yue saw Tang Zhengde holding Zaozao, thinking there were many people here, and it might be easier to take turns carrying the child.

"No worries, I can carry them. You lead the way; we won’t get lost." Tang Zhengde chuckled. They initially planned to stay home with the kids, but Tang Yue insisted they explore since they were in Sea City.

Thus, the whole family went out.

Meng Jin returned to Sea City for work, while Mo Xiaolin was occupied with affairs of the Mo Family, unable to spare time.

"Right, don’t we have a stroller? Once the kids fall asleep, we can just push them along." Zhang Hualian laid the sleeping Chenchen in the stroller, pushing it effortlessly.

"Stop worrying about your dad. At home, with so much to do, he hasn’t had many chances to hold the kids. Now, you couldn’t wrestle them away from him even if you tried."

Zhang Hualian explained with a smile; Tang Zhengde adored these two children, wishing he could hold them round the clock—and now, free from work commitments, why wouldn’t he want to carry them all day?

He disliked putting Zaozao in the stroller.

"Dad, if you get tired, just put Zaozao in the stroller." Tang Yue explained. The child had been healthy and robust since birth, eating well and growing fast. Though only over two months old, the baby was still quite heavy.

"Rest assured, as a grandfather, I’m not too old to carry Zaozao, right, Zaozao?" Tang Zhengde fondly rubbed Zaozao’s delicate skin, making Zaozao giggle and laugh.

Sea City was very large, with many famous landmarks. Though not as bustling as future generations, it was far beyond what Wangjiang County could offer.

Though having kids made exploring some places inconvenient, it didn’t stop them from appreciating the culture and scenery of Sea City.

Especially visiting the Zhongyi Electronics Store near Hai City University, which Tang Jun and three others had set up. The shop was large, displaying various electronic products available on the market.

Tang Zhengde specifically put the sleeping Zaozao in the stroller and walked into the store, observing earnestly. He hadn’t expected the four young men to handle things so well.

Tang Yue stayed at the doorway with Zaozao and Chenchen, soaking in the sunlight. Without going inside, standing there provided a glimpse of what’s available, with the music playing inside being very much in vogue.

Zhang Hualian and Tang Zhengde loitered around for quite some time, even buying a calculator to make it a meaningful visit.

No one knew from where they had hired staff, but the two young women in their twenties were meticulous and polite.

"Sister Xiao Yue, should we grab a bite next door?" Lian Qingzhi pointed to a nearby food street; they often enjoyed the food there, with flavors from North to South, and the taste was excellent.

"Sounds good, but..."

Tang Yue hesitated, with the two kids and Tang Zhengde and Zhang Hualian still around.

"Let’s go together."

Upon hearing them, Zhang Hualian decided to go along. After all, they had seen what needed seeing and bought what needed buying.

They might as well sample the local snacks of Sea City, see what flavors and specialties it offered.

There were plenty of snacks, of all kinds. Tang Yue, Lian Qingzhi, and Lian Qingling were nevertheless young ladies who typically didn’t eat much, yet here, their appetites grew—they tried this, then that.

"Xiao Yue, your mom, the kids, and I will just sit in that shop; you go on and wander." Tang Zhengde tried two places and didn’t feel like wandering around further. Apart from a few unfamiliar foods, the rest he figured would taste similar.

"Alright."

Tang Yue, realizing they weren’t fond of roaming about like that, suggested they rest in a small square near the food street.

Lian Qingyang looked at the three of them, then at Tang Zhengde with two adults and two kids, and finally decided to join Tang Zhengde’s group. The three young ladies clearly were only interested in eating, so he’d rather not join in.

Uncle Tang and his wife were affectionate, but he could still keep an eye on the children amidst the crowd. He bought plenty of snacks along the way and sat in the small square with the kids, eating, enjoying the sun—all very delightful.

Lian Qingzhi and Lian Qingling took Tang Yue to a dessert shop, spacious and elegant, with soothing light music, tasteful seating, and aesthetically pleasing desserts.

"What are you staring at?" Tang Yue asked after eating a piece of cake, noticing Lian Qingzhi and Lian Qingling seemed distracted.

"We..."

Lian Qingzhi was about to answer, but suddenly covered her face and sat down, whispering: "Sister Xiao Yue, look at the first table to the left."

Tang Yue followed her gaze—a man and a woman, seemingly an ordinary couple, though the man’s age appeared somewhat advanced.

The man and woman were indeed brazen.

The first table on the left was in a corner, with a floral swing obscuring it. If Lian Qingzhi hadn’t pointed it out, Tang Yue wouldn’t have noticed that corner.

Sharing a cake, one bite at a time—if it were young lovers, perhaps nothing odd, but this man, although decent-looking, appeared in his thirties or forties while the girl seemed just barely in her twenties. The scene was somewhat of an eyesore.

"That’s Xue Zhiyuan, Sister Xuan’s husband!" Lian Qingzhi said through gritted teeth.

"Is she blind?" Upon hearing the man was Lian Qingxuan’s husband, Tang Yue was shocked.

Xue Zhiyuan looked passable for his thirties, but the woman he chose was not nearly as refined or attractive as Lian Qingxuan.

Compared to Lian Qingxuan, she offered only her youth.

Is this what people mean about the allure of wildflowers over ones at home?

"Indeed, he must be blind." Lian Qingzhi said through gritted teeth; the first time she discovered Xue Zhiyuan with a woman here, she had the urge to punch him.

But as just one female with Lian Qingling, they couldn’t overpower Xue Zhiyuan. So, seeking Tang Yue’s help, they brought her here, unexpectedly bumping into him.

Shameless.
