"Xiaoqing, it’s me, Zhao Xiangqian." Zhao Xiangqian quickly spoke.
"Hmm, go ahead." Sun Qing gestured for Sun Rou to quickly return to her room. Sun Rou quietly said, "Sis, I won’t eavesdrop."
With those words, Sun Rou promptly returned to her room. After a long tiring day, she just wanted to wash her face and feet quickly, then go to bed and rest.
"Xiaoqing, Li Wei and Yan Dong are getting engaged on Little New Year’s day." Zhao Xiangqian’s words carried envy, jealousy, and faint hope as he said, "Xiaoqing, we’ve known each other for so long, you should understand me by now, can we give it a try and date?"
That last sentence was said very cautiously by Zhao Xiangqian, even his voice was much softer, fearing his words might scare Sun Qing.
Sun Qing remained silent, neither spoke on the phone, only the sound of each other’s breathing could be heard.
