Chapter 976: Chapter 976: Who Sent a Truckload of Books

"If I wave my hand, the line of women wanting to marry me would stretch all the way to Tian’anmen." Lian Qingyang grinned broadly and teased Jin Yan, saying, "You’re different though. If you wanted to get married, I bet no one would dare to take you!"

"Hmph, if I wanted to get married, I could fill the entire Great Wall with suitors." Jin Yan almost wanted to throw the pastry in her hand.

Tang Yue, who was watching this whole scene, smacked her lips with a sigh. Her gaze fell on Lian Qingyang’s face, which was deliberately teasing Jin Yan, wondering if his quick mouth might one day get him into trouble.

Tang Yue quietly retreated, letting the two of them bicker. After all, whenever they met, they just had to exchange a few heated words, as if they wouldn’t be happy otherwise.

On the third day of the Lunar New Year, Bai Qing and his family had a meal at Tang Yue’s house before heading out on a trip.

Tang Yue’s house continued to have a stream of visitors: Qin Anyu and Chu Hong’s family, as well as Factory Director Ding Chao and the others. The first month flew by, and it was soon the ninth day of the Lunar New Year.

When Fourth Aunt Tang Zhengyue and Fourth Uncle Zhao Youwei came to visit, Zhang Hualian made sure they brought plenty of food with them.

Though it wasn’t Tang Zhengyue’s first visit, she was always very warm and friendly. Now, Tang Zhengyue’s family was doing particularly well. Zhao Youwei’s business was growing bigger, and he came to Jing City several times a year for business collaborations with furniture factories, earning substantial dividends.

"Xiao Yue, don’t worry. Your parents are doing well. They said they’ll return to Jing City on the twelfth, so there’s no need to worry," Tang Zhengyue said warmly. Tang Zhengyue now appeared several years younger than before, with an unceasing smile on her face.

Tang Yue warmly entertained them while wondering if she should ask if Tang Min had been upset about Gao Bin’s marriage to Zhang Min, but she didn’t know how to bring it up.

Ultimately, it was Tang Zhengyue who opened the topic: "Xiao Yue, we were initially going to wait until the tenth to attend the wedding banquet, but your uncle really couldn’t get away."

"Your cousin is really lucky. Our Xiao Min, after marrying Lu Ming, broke off ties with the Tang Family and hasn’t been living well. The child truly missed out on such a good person," Tang Zhengyue lamented, "But don’t worry. Your grandmother wasn’t angry about your cousin marrying Gao Bin; she just thinks Xiao Min is undisciplined."

Tang Yue gave an awkward smile. One was her cousin, the other her niece, so she felt it wasn’t her place to say much.

Evening.

Tang Yue talked on the phone with Zhang Hualian and learned that there was no uproar on Tang Min’s side. She felt relieved; otherwise, if the marriage caused any trouble, her mother would be upset.

Sigh, what kind of fate is this? Of all the men, how did Gao Bin end up with Zhang Min?

Maybe it’s just fate?

The tenth day of the Lunar New Year dawned with bright and clear skies, a perfect day for a wedding.

Wangjiang County First Middle School also received a truckload of books.

As this was not something the security guard could handle, they approached the principal. When the principal saw the truckload of books, even he was surprised. He asked the delivery person, "We didn’t purchase these books."

"Principal, the books have been paid for. They were specifically delivered to Wangjiang County First Middle School," Factory Director Zheng said with a smile. He hadn’t needed to come personally, but since it was a donation, and he had distant relatives nearby, he decided to come along.

It had been many years since he last visited Wangjiang County, and it was completely different from the small town it used to be. It seemed Wangjiang County was developing well, with tall buildings and wide streets; it no longer looked like a small county at all.

"Who sent them?" The principal was startled, seeing so many books delivered. Who would buy so many books and send them to the school?

"The sender didn’t leave a name," Factory Director Zheng shook his head.

The principal asked again, "Where are you from?"

"Jing City." Factory Director Zheng mentioned the name of his factory and added, "Principal, these books are indeed meant for your school, and they’ve been paid for. Just accept them. Where should we put them?"

"Put them in the library," the principal said, instructing the security guard to find people to move the books. It was the Spring Festival, and even the teachers hadn’t returned yet.

Temporary workers were hired to move the books in stacks to the library. The books were all new, of various kinds.

For a school, and for the students, this was an incredible treasure trove.

The principal kept Factory Director Zheng around, trying to find out who had sent the books.

Factory Director Zheng also didn’t know, as the sender hadn’t left a name, only stating they were sent from Jing City.

Looking at the library, now full to the brim with books, the principal wondered, who in Jing City could it be?

On Zhang Min’s wedding day, it was lively and joyous. Despite her concerns that Tang Min might cause trouble, the wedding went smoothly all the way through to the bridal chamber, allowing Zhang Min to finally relax.

Even though it hadn’t been easy for her and Gao Bin to get to the point of marriage, Zhang Min was still worried about Tang Min’s potential interference.

Both she and Gao Bin had seriously considered not staying together because of Tang Min, but ultimately, because they sincerely cared for each other, they found their way back together.

In her youth, she was naive, causing many embarrassing moments. But after becoming a teacher, she felt she had matured a lot, especially recalling how she once borrowed clothes from Tang Yue, which made her blush with embarrassment now!

The new room was surrounded by a sea of red.

Gao Bin was helped drunkenly into the room amidst a lively crowd. Though he wasn’t particularly handsome, he gave Zhang Min a sense of security.

Once the people who were playfully teasing them left, only Gao Bin and Zhang Min, the newlywed couple, were left in the room.

Though just moments ago Gao Bin was too drunk to speak clearly, he suddenly plopped down on the edge of the bed next to Zhang Min and earnestly said, "Xiao Min, I’ll give you all the money I earn from now on."

’Pfft~’

Zhang Min, hearing this, seeing his serious demeanor, had thought he was about to make a heartfelt declaration, but when he said that, she burst into laughter. Her delicate appearance bore a resemblance to her aunt Zhang Hualian, especially in her vibrant red bridal gown and subtle makeup, making her particularly beautiful today.

This smile caused Gao Bin to be mesmerized. As he looked at Zhang Min, he recalled seeing her protect children and thought she had a kind heart, never imagining that today this woman would become his wife.

"I’m serious. All the money I earn will be yours. We’ll live well together, and I’ll make our little store bigger and better," Gao Bin declared, even with the flush of drunkenness on his face, he spoke with heartfelt determination.

"Alright, I will take good care of our money and won’t spend it recklessly," Zhang Min replied, her smile widening. As they gazed at each other, memories flooded back, and Gao Bin felt a warmth in his heart, beginning their wedding night.
