Rebirth of the Heavenly Empress

Chapter 53

Chapter 53: A Personality That Solely Belonged to Her

Yu Shijin’s voice seemed icy and deep as it drifted over the phone.

Chi Yue felt a chill down his spine. He sent the numbers on the laptop over to Yu Shijin before holding the transceiver to his mouth. “Young Master Yu, I have sent real-time information to your side.”

Yu Shijin replied with a hum and ended the call.

The man dressed in black beside him passed the laptop over to him, and he said, “Young Master Yu, this is the whereabouts of the gang.”

“Notify the police and seal off Street 91.” Yu Shijin looked at the laptop and then walked out.

The man dressed in black heard his words and immediately took out his phone to dial a number.

“What? We need the permission of the National Bureau to seal off the streets?” The man quickly caught up with Yu Shijin, who was then looking at the tracing tracks on the computer. He did not know what the person on the other end of the line said, but he furrowed his brows as he heard his subordinate say, “The operation this time is very important…”

Before the man could finish his words, Yu Shijin stopped in his tracks and reached out to take the phone. He placed it beside his ear, and said, “I am Yu Shijin. I will send some men to meet up with you.”

With that, he ended the call.

“Go to Green City’s Traffic Police Brigade.” He took out an object and threw it to the man dressed in black. A cold glint could be seen in his eyes.

The man was in a daze as he held the object Yu Shijin threw him.

It was a simple golden square badge that was the size of a palm.

But in the middle of the badge, a purple-tint gold orchid was carved on it.

Under the dim street lights, it shimmered with snowy-white light.

“Take the badge.” Yu Shijin lowered his eyes, and a faint coldness creased in between his brows. As he put on his coat, he ordered, “Seal off the streets and notify the Chu Family. I will send those who do not listen straight to the military.”

It was not until the black car had left his sight, did the man snap back to his senses.

He looked at the badge in astonishment.

He had not seen the rumored purple-tint gold orchid badge for many years. He thought it was lost, but he never expected it to end up in Young Master Yu’s hands.

Aside from being Green City’s government head, the Chu Family was also a family of reputable warlords true to its name.

Since the existence of warlords posed a definite threat to national systems, society had condemned them locally and internationally and for all generations.

Hence, since ancient times, it was their nation itself that had weakened all the independent warlords.

However, the Chu Family kept their eminent authority to the present day. Although they kept a low profile, it was undeniable that the Chu Family was a warlord family that ignored the existence of national systems. Rather than calling Green City, it would be more appropriate to call it an independent country within a country as they refused to be subject to anyone’s control.

They only listened to the leader of the warlords. But the thing is, no one knew that the actual leader of the puissant Chu Family was Yu Shijin.

All these years, the Chu Family was used to keeping a low profile, and people in Green City probably forgot… who their actual leader was!

Thinking up to that point, he immediately called Chu Xuning. “Young Master Chu, I will take the purple-tint gold orchid badge to find the commander. Seal off the streets and leave with Mr. Chi Yue.”

“Okay.” On the other end of the call, Chu Xuning momentarily froze and felt that he was hallucinating. “What did you say you were bringing to find the commander?”

‘Purple-tint gold orchid badge?’

‘He even took that out?!’

Despite being shocked beyond words, he understood Yu Shijin’s decision in an instant. He increasingly became serious as he noticed the importance of the operation. Doctor Luxe’s safety and the biochemical weapons that could threaten hundreds of millions of lives of civilians were all in their hands.

They could not allow a single thing to go wrong in any operations.

“Mr. Chi Yue, leave now.” He took the gun and opened the door. After ensuring that it was safe to proceed, he made Chi Yue follow closely behind him.

Chi Yue was holding his laptop and did not raise his head at all. “It will be more convenient for me to stay here. The other party has sufficient arms and weapons. Most of them are autonomous, so I’m not sure how accurate it will be if I control them from afar.”

“I understand.” Chu Xuning spotted the car that would fetch Chi Yue. He pushed him inside and closed the door with a loud bang.

As he saw the car leaving the area, he shook his head. “But it is a pity that Boss Yu said that we could not bring you for the later part of the operation.”

He wore an earpiece and raised his wrist to look at the dial plate, which changed to show a map. He located the direction and walked.

“Young Master Yu, Miss Su, and the others are getting closer to the military vehicle.”

Chu Xuning strapped the gun at his waist before swiftly taking a few steps forward. He then placed his hands over Yu Xiangyang’s shoulders.

Although Yu Xiangyang did not learn much fighting skills from Su Huiqing in these few days, his body got a lot more agile. With the words Brother Wei said at the underground casino, he had kept a high vigilance.

“Damn! Young Master Chu, why are you here?” He did a flip and almost twisted Chu Xuning’s arm.

On the other hand, Chu Xuning was briefly shocked.

A few days ago, Yu Xiangyang was a normal person who walked with heavy footsteps.

He did not think he’d become agile in less than a week.

“I’m here to see you.” Chu Xuning had a glint in his eyes as he looked at the four people.

Regardless of age or identity, these four people could not get any more normal, and yet, they could make those people send an armored vehicle to chase after them?

He moved his attention to the person at the utmost left.

She was in her Yi Zhong High School’s uniform, and her long, black hair flowed down to her back and it even swayed in the wind. She carried her school bag in her hands and raised her chin, appearing to be extremely exquisite.

She had one hand in her pocket as though she always maintained her calm composure no matter what happened.

Especially that pair of eyes. It was bright and black.

The only person he could think of that could make those people send an armored vehicle after them was only the one and only confusing Missy Su—Su Huiqing!

At that moment, a voice drifted from beside him.

“Today, I would like to thank everyone.” Gu Li stopped in his tracks and looked at everyone with seriousness in his eyes. With a deep voice, he said, “The people Brother Wei said earlier are looking for me. Those people… are brutal and merciless. I, Gu Li, will remember the help you all have given me today. Now, let’s go our separate ways.”

When that sentence was out, Chu Xuning stared at Gu Li in shock.

He had guessed wrong?

“So there really are people who are finding trouble for you?! Why?” Yu Xiangyang and Qu Yan heard those words and were stumped. They looked around their surroundings and asked, “Why don’t we see anyone?”

“Gu Li is right.” Su Huiqing finally paused her footsteps and turned to look calmly in front.

Her eyes were half-squinted and deep, where one could not see the end of it.

Su Huiqing’s words made everyone stop in their tracks.

Her face kept a faint nonchalant expression and her lips curled up into a cold smile. “But it may be too late for us to leave.”

“Too late?” Yu Xiangyang could not comprehend Su Huiqing’s words. After they had entered the casino, he was already lost in his world.

Su Huiqing did not answer his question this time.

She reached out to hold Chu Xuning’s arm and looked at the watch on his wrist.

In others’ eyes, it was a normal watch.

They did not understand Su Huiqing’s actions.

Su Huiqing remained silent and pressed a few buttons on the wristwatch.

A map instantly appeared on the regular-looking wristwatch. They could even see a few red dots moving on it.

Chu Xuning was first stunned before he eventually turned his head to look at Su Huiqing!

His wristwatch was a specialized two-way transceiver watch used in the International Battlefield. Because it was designed in an experimental laboratory, only a few knew about it… but it was definitely not something a normal high school student would know!

At that moment, a voice rang. “Bring them to meet me at the street entrance.”

The voice which drifted through the electric current was deep and strong, and coldness laced through it as though it was a gravity magnet.

Su Huiqing took Chu Xuning’s earphone. With lowered eyes, she calmly spoke on the transceiver, “Meet us at the third intersection point of Street 91.”

She was used to giving orders, and her orders were always short and swift.

Even if she had changed into a new identity, that haughty arrogance etched in her bones did not wear away.

The more dangerous the situation was, the calmer she was and the more perfect her command was.

This was a personality solely belonging to Su S.
