Chapter 1220: Another Annoying Clingy Girl ( 1220 )
Liana narrowed her eyes toward Gracelle.
Sigh… another troublesome girl, just like Mimi.
Let’s hope this is just temporary, that she just might be feeling emotionally vulnerable or attached because she was just recovering from her illness.
If this continues and becomes troublesome or weird like Mimi after she got healthy, I’m going to punish her, I don’t care if she’s a noble’s daughter or not.
She looked at Gracelle’s face, now red-cheeked, still hiding her lips behind the blanket, her eyes gleaming.
“You know, that’s kind of a lame excuse. I’m not a teddy bear or a lullaby you can just cuddle to fall asleep.”
“Umm…” Gracelle mumbled a weird excuse, her voice barely audible.
Liana exhaled softly and shook her head, glancing at Myra at her side.
“Can you leave us alone?”
“Eh? Why?” Myra glanced at Liana in confusion.
“I don’t know… perhaps this girl wants to talk to me personally.”
“Oh… okay…” Myra turned and left, walking toward the door before pausing.
“Umm… don’t kill the… patient…” Myra said teasingly before rushing out of the room in a slight panic after seeing Liana’s eyes turn serious.
Liana grumbled. “I won’t!”
After Myra left the room, Liana glanced at Gracelle, who was slightly fidgeting behind her blanket.
“So?” Liana asked, her tone slightly impatient. “Why did you want to see me?”
“Umm…” Gracelle mumbled softly, averting her eyes. “Could you… at least… umm… take a seat first?”
Liana let out a long exhale. “Fine.” She reached for the chair nearby and sat down.
Gracelle glanced at her from the bed. “Umm… I can’t talk loudly yet… so could you… umm… sit closer? So… umm… you know… you could… err… hear me?”
Liana shook her head. “Just so you know, Miss ‘Patient,’ I’m really tired and sleepy right now.”
“Oh… umm… sorry.” Gracelle mumbled softly. “So you work at night too?”
Liana, who had just pulled the chair closer to the bed and sat down, glanced at Gracelle before shaking her head.
“You could say that. So… what is it you want to ask about? This better be important.”
Gracelle smiled faintly.
“I’m… thirsty… can I get a drink?”
Liana narrowed her eyes. “Did that girl allow you to drink anything yet?” She pointed toward outside where Myra sat at her table.
“Umm… no… even the… err… what’s his name again? Ah… Mister Handsome Doctor said they’ll check my condition again in a few hours. And if everything is stable, they might let me have a sip.”
Liana rolled her eyes and exhaled. “If that ‘handsome doctor’ said not yet, that means not yet. Sorry, can’t help.” Liana said casually.
“P… please?” Gracelle gave her puppy eyes.
“Nope. Can’t do. You need to remember that what that doctor is doing is for your own good. He’s making sure your body is ready before you eat or drink anything.”
“But…” Gracelle pursed her lips, her face looking like she was about to cry, though it was clearly faked.
Liana exhaled. “Even if you cry, I can’t and won’t give you any.”
“But…” Gracelle made her eyes shimmer. “I’m really feeling too thirsty and might be dying…”
Liana exhaled. “Pull down your blanket a bit and lift your chin.”
“Why?” Gracelle pulled her blanket up to cover her lips. “Are you going to kill me?”
“No!” Liana hissed. “If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn’t have helped the doctor save you in the first place.”
“Ah… right…” Gracelle let out a weak laugh and pulled the blanket down to her chest. “Like this?”
“Mm…” Liana grumbled and placed her palm above Gracelle’s throat. Her palm glowed with a beautiful light blue aura, soft and soothing like morning mist over calm water.
Gracelle’s face relaxed, a sense of calm washing over her as the gentle magic flowed through her.
She glanced up at Liana after Liana pulled her hand away. “What did you do to me? I don’t feel thirsty anymore.”
Liana narrowed her eyes. “That’s what I could do to help soothe your thirst before they can give you a real drink.”
“Th… thank you… Miss Beautiful Eyes Elf.”
“Miss… what again?” Liana narrowed her eyes and exhaled before glancing away. “What a weird girl.”
“If there’s nothing else, I’m leaving now.”
“Eh? You’re leaving already?” Gracelle’s eyes widened, and she tried her best to sit up, but her body was still too weak.
Liana paused and turned back, gently pushing her back onto the bed and glaring hard. “You shouldn’t get up. Your body is still weak. Don’t be reckless.”
“B… but…” Gracelle mumbled softly, pursing her lips while her eyes fixed on Liana’s face. “If you leave me… how am I going to sleep?”
Liana narrowed her eyes.
Ugh! Another annoying clingy girl. Just like Mimi, but worse. She’s using her weak body as an excuse to keep me here.
“Since you don’t have anything else to say, right? And I’m tired. That’s why I’m leaving so you can rest, and I can rest too,” she hissed.
“But…” Gracelle gave Liana a sad face, her lower lip trembling.
Ugh! This one is even more annoying than Mimi.
Sigh… what a troublesome patient.
“Fine!” Liana hissed. “Ten minutes. You better sleep, or I’ll make you sleep by force.”
Gracelle smiled and pulled her blanket up, giggling softly. “Thank you, Miss Elf.”
Liana took a seat and leaned back while looking at Gracelle. “Now go to sleep. So I can take my leave and rest too.”
“Mm…” Gracelle moved her body to the side so she could face Liana, careful with the IV line and other tubes attached to her arm. “Miss Elf?”
“What?” Liana crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes toward her.
“I heard from the miss earlier… that you are that handsome doctor’s fiancée~”
Liana narrowed her eyes.
Did she not know about Young Master yet? Seriously? She didn’t recognize that the person who saved her was the person she wanted to meet?
Oh~ This could be interesting~
Liana hid her smirk and kept her face calm. “Yes… He is my fiancé…” She let out a long, tired exhale. “But…”
“But?” Gracelle’s expression shifted to one of curiosity, like a girl hearing juicy gossip, her eyes wide and eager.
“That handsome doctor is troublesome, you know.”
“Huh? Really?” Gracelle’s eyes fixed on Liana’s. “Is he cheating on you, Miss Elf? Really?”
Liana narrowed her eyes.
Woah~ This girl just accused her dream man of cheating… If only she knew the doctor was her dream man… I wonder how she’d react.
“Mm…” Liana faked a sad face. “Just because he’s a prince… just because he’s the most handsome among all his brothers, he does as he pleases, and now he has five fiancées… along with me. Not to mention how many admirers he has. Ah~” Liana turned her head to the side, pretending to sob, her palm over her mask. “Sob sob… I bet he’ll even complete a sixth or seventh wife soon~”
