Chapter 1250: The Storm in the Hall ( 1250 )
Chapter 1250: The Storm in the Hall ( 1250 )
The hall erupted with shouting and cursing, voices clashing as insults and accusations flew across the long table. Fists slammed against the surface, chairs scraped against the floor, and a few figures even reached for their weapons before being restrained by their companions.
But Angrar, Vane, and one girl sat calmly in their seats, unaffected by the storm around them.
Angrar glanced at the woman across from him. "You’re not going to calm your party members, Karue?"
Karue gave him a casual glance, adjusting her glasses before placing her weapon on the table and beginning to polish it with slow, graceful movements. "For what? Even if I said something, it’s not like they’d listen. Besides, you aren’t doing anything about your party members either."
She turned an annoyed glance toward Vane. "You too. You’re the ’second strongest’ among the twenty summoned heroes under the Supreme Goddess Zeyrinda, aren’t you? Why not do something about your party members? Hmm?"
Vane just rested his elbow on the table and propped his chin on his knuckle. "For what? It’s not like your group could harm any of them. There are only twelve of you. And Angrar only has four, including himself."
Angrar leaned back in his chair, glancing up at the ceiling. "My group has four, including me, because Jaigar was sent on an important mission along with your weakest member... Vane~." He looked at Vane with a sneering smile. "What’s his name again?"
"Don’t bad-mouth my party member just because he’s the weakest among the twenty, Angrar. Just because Gorak is considered the weakest due to his weapon doesn’t mean he couldn’t win against you, or even Karue here."
Karue smirked, enjoying the shine of her polished blade. "How about you try me first, Vane? Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I can’t fight you, you know. And if you lost against me... what chance would your weakest member, Gorak, have against me? Think about that before you run your mouth."
Angrar smirked and gave a pitying glance at Vane.
"Did you forget that you’re just the second-ranked, a vice... not the leader? And if I’m not mistaken, you were chosen as vice leader for your group because you and Julius are... best buddies?"
Vane gave Angrar a cold stare as Angrar casually put both legs on the table and flashed him a mocking smile.
"What about you, Angrar? I’m sure you were given the leader rank for your group because you... hmm... what is it again? Ah~ Not your weapon or skill, but a different skill~ Looks like you only have talent in satisfying your lowly goddess’s sexual needs, am I right~?"
Karue let out a hearty but mocking laugh, giving Angrar a look filled with scorn and amusement.
Angrar put both legs down and stood up, raising his palms as dual blazing scimitars materialized in his hands. He pointed one toward Karue and the other toward Vane.
"I don’t mind if you mock me or mock my other members, but I already warned you not to mock my beautiful goddess." He gave a mocking look at Vane. "At least I have good skills in sex, unlike your small dick, ’second strongest~’." He then turned his mocking gaze toward Karue. "And you. How does it feel being fucked by your futanari goddess? Does it taste good?"
Vane raised both palms upward, and dual falcatas materialized in his hands, their blades gleaming with a cold, sharp light. "You really..." Vane’s voice was dangerously calm. "...crossed the line by calling me small dick. Looks like you have an early death wish, huh, Angrar? Have you prepared your coffin for today?"
Karue raised her crystal sword, taking a stance as lightning aura crackled around her blade. "You really..." she said calmly, her voice steady but deadly. "...just signed your own death warrant. I’m going to cut that tongue out and bury your body right here."
Angrar smirked. "Sure~ How about you two partner up and come at me together? Let’s see if your power is as big as your mouth." He snorted mockingly at Vane. "Or perhaps your power is as small as your dick."
Vane’s aura flared the moment Angrar finished his words, a surge of killing intent washing over the hall.
The room fell into a tense, buzzing silence as Angrar, Vane, and Karue locked eyes.
Angrar’s smirk widened.
"Just remember, when you’re on the floor, you asked for it." He glanced at Karue. "And don’t think I won’t kill you just because you’re a woman, Karue. If you want to be treated like a real woman, maybe grow into one first."
Karue’s eyes narrowed, her grip tightening on her crystal sword. Vane’s jaw clenched, his falcatas gleaming with a cold, deadly light.
Karue and Vane vanished.
And reappeared in a blur of motion, charging toward Angrar from opposite angles. Vane’s dual falcatas sliced through the air with a whistling shriek, while Karue’s crystal sword crackled with arcs of lightning, tracing brilliant blue-white trails behind her.
Angrar spun, his blazing scimitars meeting their attacks in a shower of sparks, parried Vane’s overhead strike with his left scimitar, while his right scimitar swept upward, intercepting Karue’s lightning-infused thrust.
He spun low, sweeping his burning blade toward Vane’s ankles, forcing him to leap back.
Karue pressed her attack, lightning flaring around her as she thrust her crystal sword forward in a rapid flurry. Angrar sidestepped and pivoted, his flaming blades carving arcs of fire as he parried and countered each of their attack.
He moved with fluid precision, his movements effortless as he deflected and countered their combined assault. Each swing of his scimitars was fast and precise, the fire around them burning hotter with every exchange.
Vane lunged forward, his falcatas aiming for Angrar’s sides, but Angrar dropped low, sweeping one scimitar in a wide arc, forcing Vane to jump back. Karue seized the opening, her crystal sword aimed for Angrar’s throat. He leaned back just in time, bringing his other scimitar up to block her attack.
Angrar’s smirk widened. "Is that all the ’second strongest’ has? And you, Karue... I thought your goddess gave you something special. All I see is a flat-chested woman swinging a fancy toothpick."
Karue’s eye twitched, and she pushed harder, lightning surging along her blade. Vane’s grip tightened, his aura flaring brighter.
