Chapter 1565: Sand, Sweets, and Sisters ( 1565 )
Felicia’s eyes widened, shimmering with a soft, hopeful light. She clasped her hands together, her tail swaying gently behind her, her ears perked up. The morning light caught her silver hair, making her look almost ethereal.
Then Javier’s voice broke through.
"Mimi? Why are you covering my eyes?"
Felicia blinked. Her gaze dropped to Mimi, who was still clinging to Javier with her legs locked around his waist. Her small hands were pressed firmly over his eyes, blocking his view entirely. And her tongue was sticking out, aimed directly at Felicia.
Felicia puffed her cheek, her tail bristling as she shouted.
"Mimi!!!"
Mimi narrowed her eyes at her sister, puffing her own cheek in protest. She clung tighter to Javier, pressing herself against his back, her legs tightening around his waist and her hands still covering his eyes.
"Nyaaa! Don’t trick Mimi’s husband with that face!"
She stuck her tongue out again at Felicia, who was standing beside Gloria with her brow twitching. Mimi kept her hands firmly over Javier’s eyes as she continued.
"Nee-sama is trying to use that cute look to get what Nee-sama wants! Mimi knows exactly what Nee-sama was doing!" She nuzzled her cheek against Javier’s, her voice turning smug and possessive. "Husband is busy holding Mimi right now! He can’t show you anything when Mimi is here, nya!"
Felicia went completely silent. Her body stilled, her tail stopped swaying, her ears flattened slowly against her head. The air around her seemed to grow heavier, the morning warmth fading into something colder.
Her aura began to shift. A slow, dangerous pressure radiated from her. Her eyes narrowed, her lips curling into a soft, sweet smile.
"Mimi~" she cooed, her voice low and melodic, dripping with honeyed menace. "You forgot that Javier is also my husband~"
Mimi flinched hard. Her body stiffened against Javier’s back, her tail shooting straight up. She let out a nervous, sheepish laugh, her voice cracking slightly.
"N... nya... ehehehe... Nee-sama... Mimi was just... just joking... ehehe..."
She slowly unwrapped her legs from Javier’s waist and slid down to the ground. She took one careful step back, then another, her tail tucked low.
Felicia’s smile widened into something terrifying. Her eyes glinted with a dangerous light, that calm, sweet expression now radiating pure, quiet fury. Her twin white-ore swords materialized in her hands, their blades gleaming under the sun. She took a single step forward, her tail curling with slow, deliberate menace.
"A naughty kitten who tries to hog husband’s attention alone and sticks her tongue out at her elder sister... needs to learn her place."
She lunged. Magic circles flared to life around her, and a rapid volley of glowing blades and elemental bursts shot toward Mimi.
"Eeep!"
Mimi bolted. Her feet kicked up sand as she sprinted across the beach, her tail streaming behind her, her panicked scream echoing across the shore.
"Nee-sama!! No need to use magic!! No need to use swords!! Mimi is sorryyy!! Can’t we just talk about this over food, nyaaa?!"
Javier smiled, watching Felicia chase Mimi across the sand. Liana and Gloria watched the chaos for a moment before glancing at each other and letting out matching weary exhales. They shook their heads and returned to their work, Liana flipping the meat and Gloria arranging the vegetables on a plate.
Javier turned and glanced at Gracelle.
"Gracelle?"
Gracelle’s eyes widened. She sat up properly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear, and smiled at him brightly.
"Yes, Javier-sama~"
"If you’re sleepy, you can go back to the villa and sleep."
Gracelle smiled and shook her head.
"If I do that, I’ll be alone. Without Javier-sama there." She lowered her gaze, her cheeks flushing faintly. "I’d rather stay here. Even if I’m sleepy. Even if I’m tired. Being near you is worth it."
Javier let out a soft chuckle. He moved to where Delya and Gracelle were sitting. Delya shifted slightly, leaving an open space between her and Gracelle.
"Danna-sama~"
She tilted her head to the side, her usual dreamy smile spreading across her lips. She patted the space beside her with one hand while the other cradled her chocolate drink.
Javier sat down casually, leaning back and pulling both Gracelle and Delya against him.
"How are my beautiful wives~?"
His gaze shifted to Delya.
"You really love chocolate, don’t you?"
"Mm~"
Delya rested her cheek against his shoulder, wrapping her hand around his arm. Javier turned his head away briefly, then looked back at her with a small piece of chocolate caught between his lips.
"What about this chocolate~?"
Delya’s lips parted the moment Javier leaned in with the chocolate caught between his lips. She met him halfway, her eyes fluttering shut as they locked into a long, slow kiss. The chocolate melted between them, sweet and warm, and Delya let out a soft, contented hum against his mouth.
Gracelle watched the kiss from Javier’s shoulder, her eyes fixed on the point where their lips met, her cheeks flushing a soft pink, her breath catching in her throat. She couldn’t look away, mesmerized by the way Javier kissed Delya, slow and deliberate, as if they had all the time in the world.
Liana narrowed her eyes from where she stood by the grill, watching the scene unfold.
"He’s using that technique again. The one where he takes his time. Where he makes every second feel like it’s only for the two of them. He’s charming them with every trick he’s got."
Gloria nudged her glasses up, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. She leaned closer to Liana, her voice dropping into a low murmur.
"Did he ever kiss you like that?"
Liana shook her head, her voice steady.
"No. If he wants to kiss me, he just puckers his lips and kisses me. Same as always. From when he was a kid until now. No techniques. No tricks. Just... him."
"Ara? Really?"
"Yes. Why?"
Gloria tilted her head, her smirk widening.
"I thought Young Master would use his charming ways on you too. The slow lean. The lingering touch. The way he makes a woman’s heart race before he even touches her lips. I’m surprised he doesn’t."
Liana smiled, a warm, gentle look crossing her features. She shook her head slowly, returning her attention to the meat.
"Young Master doesn’t need to use his charming ways to get a kiss from his first love. He just has to be himself. The persistent boy who never stopped until he got what he wanted. A kiss, a hug, more than that." She flipped the meat gently. "He has always known he would get what he wanted from me. And I have always known I would give it to him."
