Reborn As The Minor Villain In A Romance Fantasy Novel

Chapter 227: Guild Leader

Chapter 227: Guild Leader

’Who the hell starts a sentence like that?’ Ayela wondered, staring at Lucius like he had dropped a bomb in the middle of the room.

What did he expect? For all of them to suddenly fall silent, nod obediently, and immediately agree with whatever he said like brain-dead minions?

He was the one who had told her earlier that they were grown adults. Grown adults didn’t fold like that. They had pride, dignity, ego...

"Yes sir!" they all shouted in unison.

Ayela’s jaw almost dislocated. Her head jerked so hard to the side that her hair whipped across her cheek.

"What the fuck...?" she whispered, absolutely stunned.

There was no way she heard that right, but the synchronized echo still hung in the air. They really did say it. All ten of them.

Lucius didn’t react at all. He nodded like this was the most natural outcome imaginable and walked calmly to the command chair at the front of the large tent.

The chair Supreme Man used to treat like a throne. The moment Lucius’s body touched the seat, one of the female Awakeners scrambled forward so fast she almost tripped.

She placed a cup on the armrest and poured juice into it, her hands shaking with excitement.

"Ah... thank you..." Lucius said casually.

"My name is Becka, Guild Leader," she said immediately, cheeks flushed as she bowed.

’Guild Leader already...?’ Ayela stared with disbelief swelling in her chest.

She marched to Lucius’s side and stood there stiffly with crossed arms. ’What a bunch of whores!’

The others took their seats, smiling like they had been waiting for a new king to arrive.

The look in their eyes made Ayela’s stomach churn. They weren’t just okay with this... they were thrilled.

’Humans... as expected,’ Lucius thought, not even judging them.

If someone monstrously strong barged into a Guild and instantly beat their own Leader like trash, he would’ve followed that guy too.

Lucius clasped his hands together. "I’m happy to see none of you are stressing me out. Since I took down your Guild Leader, I will take on the trouble of being in charge of this group until the end of the raid."

Heads nodded. Some enthusiastically. Some shyly. Some with actual sparkles in their eyes.

"And our first topic," Lucius continued calmly, "is simple."

They all leaned forward slightly.

"I hate the uniforms you wear."

They collectively blinked and looked at their own attire...

The faded scout-green jackets...

The ugly brown straps...

The blocky boots...

The cheap patches...

The weird neck flap Supreme Man designed for "Unity."

They looked like forest campers on a school trip.

"You look like clowns," Lucius added without hesitation.

That was all it took.

One of the women immediately grabbed the hem of her uniform shirt and started pulling it up, already halfway out of it like she thought he wanted them naked.

"If Guild Leader hates it, then I hate it as well—"

Lucius raised a hand. "There’s no need to take off your clothes. I’ll just do a minor makeover."

She froze mid-strip.

Lucius smirked slightly. "We’ll turn these boy scout uniforms into something worthy of a true Supreme Guild..."

’Can I even use space to alter clothes?’ he wondered. Then shrugged. ’Eh. Most robably.’

He snapped his fingers.

A ripple of warped air spread outward like a wave. Ayela jolted as her clothes vibrated and began glowing white. All the seated Awakeners gasped as their uniforms shimmered.

And then... shifted.

Material rearranged itself. Colors inverted. Stitching rewove. Cloth tightened around arms, loosened around shoulders, sharpened along seams.

"Oh..." Ayela breathed out softly.

Her new uniform was completely different.

The same cloth feel, but transformed into something a lot more modern than what they were sporting before.

The dull green had turned into sleek black, accented with precise white lines.

The top was a fitted black combat shirt with a white diagonal stripe cutting across the chest, giving it shape. The collar and cuffs were neatly edged with white. The pants were the same cloth but darker, better tailored, and reinforced subtly.

White straps wrapped around the thighs for securing gear. The boots became black with elegant white stitching which looked amazing.

It looked nothing like Boy Scouts. It looked like they belonged to an elite guild that actually had pride.

"He can change clothes too...?" someone whispered.

But quickly...

"Guild Leader, this looks amazing!"

"I feel like a Navy general!"

"This is... beautiful..."

Lucius nodded, pleased. "Good. Because tomorrow, we’re going to dominate."

Ayela instinctively stepped back. She realized she was the only one trying to look unaffected. Everyone else was practically begging for him to keep talking.

Lucius opened his mouth to continue but the tent flap opened.

Vanessa stepped in carrying a tray.

She scanned the scene... Lucius in command, a whole Guild sitting obediently before him, everyone in matching new uniforms and her eye twitched slightly.

"I get you’re strategizing how to bully the rest of us with your new Guild," Vanessa said flatly. "Luna overheard everything and came to tell me."

Lucius gave a small shrug.

"But you should have dinner first," she added.

She walked over, placed the tray neatly in front of him, then glanced coldly at every woman in the tent.

They immediately straightened up.

Then she leaned down...

Placed a soft kiss on Lucius’s cheek...

And straightened again.

"He’s mine," she said clearly, loud enough for all of them to hear.

Vanessa walked out like nothing happened.

Lucius didn’t react at all.

He calmly picked up the tray, grabbed a fork, and began eating the first dish which was noodles like this was a perfectly normal dinner moment.

He slurped once, swallowed, wiped his mouth with his thumb.

"I am going to assign everyone to different positions..." he said casually.

...

"This is the tent in which the Guild Leader stays in..." Becka and another Awakener, Irene, said together as they guided Lucius toward the massive tent two hours later.

Lucius stopped in front of it, staring up at the ridiculous size.

The thing looked like a portable mansion.

"Just one person?" His eye twitched. "Supreme Man was living like this alone?"

The two women nodded timidly.

Lucius clicked his tongue. "Well don’t mind if I do."

He pushed the flap aside and stepped in...

Hsshhh...

And a wave of cold air hit his face like a blessing from the heavens.

"Damn nice," Lucius muttered as he looked around at the luxury furniture, the soft lighting, and the spacious layout. "I can’t believe a criminal got to enjoy such comfort."

He sat down on the wide couch like he owned it.

Lucius glanced at them. "What are the both of you doing here?"

He picked up the remote on the coffee table, pressed a button, and the giant Smart TV lit up. It was already on Stitch.

The first recommended video showed a young man wearing a shirt with Lucius’s face printed on it. It had two million likes.

The man on screen yelled passionately:

"After today’s display... regardless of whether he’s an S-rank and popular nationwide... Supreme Man attacked Lucius after waking up and even tried to take advantage of the women important to him! On livestream! A livestream with millions watching! Supreme Man is a criminal and deserves punishment. Take away his GUILD and give it to our lord Lucius!"

The video ended abruptly.

Lucius hummed, he was very pleased. "Nice."

He tilted his head. "How do I log into my Stitch account here?"

"You can drag the remote out," Irene said quickly. "It becomes a tablet for typing inputs."

Lucius did it and blinked when the remote stretched into a thin touchscreen pad.

"Wow..." He logged in, clicked the video, and typed a single comment.

[So real]

Then he turned off the TV.

He looked at the two girls again. "Well? Again... what are you guys doing here?"

The girls froze for a split second then immediately fumbled at their uniforms, hands tugging at collars and hems, trying to pull their clothes off in a panic.

"Supreme Man said it’s our job to satisfy the Guild Leader with our bodies," Becka explained desperately. "So please, let us take the stress off—"

"Not interested." Lucius didn’t even let them finish, waving them off.

They froze.

"You’re my subordinates," Lucius said firmly. "You have parents or sisters at home, don’t you? You shouldn’t be fucking a random guy. Not that I want to do anything with people I don’t know."

Their eyes wavered and their shoulders tensed in embarrassment.

"Respect your dignities," Lucius added. "I gave you positions for tomorrow. Go study them."

"Yes, Guild Leader!" they squeaked before scrambling out of the tent.

Lucius sighed and leaned back.

A moment later, the flap opened again.

Luna walked inside with puffed cheeks.

She looked at Lucius. "You know," she said accusingly, "I expected you to sleep with them."

Lucius patted the side of the couch. "Come here."

She walked over, laid down beside him, and curled into his side like a cat seeking warmth even though the AC was blasting.

"I’m tired," she mumbled.

"Same here," Lucius replied. "We have a long raid ahead... then I’ve planned a vacation."

Her eyes brightened instantly. "Vacation? Where?"

"Erm... it’s a surprise." Lucius said, shifting his gaze away. Though he wondered if she liked New Avalon city.

Luna stared at him with wide eyes. ’A vacation... with him?’

Lucius suddenly sat up slightly and his eyes narrowed. "Yeahhhh, I remember now."

She blinked. "Remember what?"

"I told you I was going to make sure you awaken," Lucius said.

Her breath caught. ’He was serious?’

"Alright," Luna said, heart pounding. "How do you plan to do that?"

Lucius stood. "Stand up."

She jolted, caught between excitement and fear. "Right now?"

"Yes. Now."

Luna pushed herself off the couch and stood before him. She was shorter, looking up into his eyes as he crossed his arms.

’Is he really going to awaken me? Like... now? Just like that?’
