Chapter 266: Beach Activities [IV]
Chapter 266: Beach Activities [IV]
All the girls were gathered on the beach and looking at the sea shells that Selene had managed to gather while pretending to still be racing.
"How did you even pull all this out of the water in such a short time...?" Amber asked with genuine curiosity, staring at the small pile with about forty shells scattered across the sand in various colors and sizes.
"That doesn’t matter right now. Let’s use them to do an event instead..." Selene replied while taking a specific shell that looked like a perfect pearl from the pile, holding it up to examine in the sunlight. "The one that makes the best necklace wins and gets to choose our next beach event. Luke will be the one to rate them all."
Everyone turned to look at Luke who was still trying to balance himself awkwardly on his surfboard in the shallow water, looking confused about why attention had shifted to him.
"No favoritism allowed, brother-in-law!" Selene called out with a warning tone, and with that declaration, she ran off toward a nearby stall that sold supplies and tools that could be used for making necklaces and jewelry.
Luna and the other girls were left standing there to look at the remaining shells spread across the sand.
Luna specifically used her analytical eyes to scan through them carefully, trying to determine which one would suit Lucius the best aesthetically.
Suddenly Emilia swooped in and snagged one particular shell from the pile with a triumphant grin. It was a sea shell that somehow curved in a shape that looked unmistakably like a dick and balls.
’How is she even seeing these shapes in everything...?’ Luna thought while biting her lip in exasperation and mild concern. Emilia ran off excitedly to the stall where Selene was currently browsing the supplies.
After that quick theft, the other girls picked through the remaining sea shells with varying levels of care and ran off to the supply stall as well, each clutching their chosen shell protectively.
This left Luna alone with what remained of the pile.
She looked through the scattered shells carefully, and after clearing them apart a bit and examining each one closely, she finally saw exactly what she was looking for among the options.
A specific sea shell that looked like it was made of crystal rather than typical shell material. It was still structured like a shell but the body glowed and sparkled like a cut gemstone as it reflected the afternoon sun, sending little rainbows across the sand.
She picked it up carefully and admired how the light played through it.
A small child approached her tentatively, holding her mother’s hand.
"Miss... can we use some of these shells for our sand castle?" The little girl asked politely, pointing at the remaining shells.
Luna patted the girl’s head with a warm smile.
"Of course you can, take as many as you need." She said kindly, and then ran toward the stall where the other girls had gone.
Even though she hadn’t spent much time selecting her shell, by the time she arrived all the girls were already done buying whatever supplies they needed and were walking away with small bags.
Upon reaching the stall, the woman behind the counter looked up at her with a friendly smile.
"Would you like to get what the other ladies purchased...?" She asked helpfully, and Luna nodded in confirmation.
Soon she was handed a spool of strong thread and small instruments for creating a hole through the shell, along with some polishing supplies. With that, she ran off to find a quiet spot to do what she needed to do and create her necklace.
...
Several minutes later, Lucius stepped away from the surfboard rental stall with a resigned expression on his face.
’Note to self... buy custom-made surfboards that can actually handle the enhanced strength of Awakened girls.’ He thought with annoyance.
Surfing was really nice and enjoyable, but paying that much money for regular boards that broke immediately wasn’t acceptable at all. ’This isn’t an auction house after all where I expect to spend absurd amounts.’
He was genuinely more comfortable spending billions of royals at the auction house than he was spending fifty thousand on a single broken surfboard at the beach.
The principle of it bothered him.
He looked toward the shore and saw that all of the girls were gathered in one area for some reason, which made him very curious about what they were planning.
He walked down the beach to look at what they were doing, but he was suddenly interrupted by a small crowd of people who had noticed him.
"Mr. Lucius, please sign my swimsuit!" A young woman called out.
"Mr. Lucius, may I have an autograph?" Another person asked.
"Mr. Lucius, may I have a picture with you?!" Someone else shouted enthusiastically.
Lucius smiled genuinely at his fans, especially taking note of the children amongst them who were looking at him with wide, excited eyes.
"Come on... one by one, and we’ll make sure everyone gets what they want..." He said patiently, preparing for a long signing session.
...
Selene stood with folded arms as did all of the girls in a line, and a bit over ten minutes had passed since they had started working.
Now they were each holding their completed jewelry pieces for their designated judge, Luke.
Luke sat importantly on a big rock with his arms folded, trying to look official as his hair swayed dramatically in the ocean breeze.
"Okay... so what exactly am I judging here?" Luke asked as he maintained what he hoped was a serious, impartial expression.
"We each made sea shell necklaces using the shells I collected..." Selene explained clearly. "You simply have to decide which one is the absolute best one, and I repeat, no favoritism allowed."
She continued her explanation. "If we told Lucius to judge, he would definitely pull something like saying all of them are equally perfect and then wear them all together to avoid choosing. And if we asked one of us girls to judge, we’d most probably pick our own work. So you’re the next best option available."
Luke pressed his lips together in a thin line but smiled nonetheless, feeling somewhat proud to be trusted with this responsibility.
’All I have to do is judge some sea-shell necklaces... it’s not that hard of a task.’ He thought with a mental shake of his head. ’How complicated could handmade beach jewelry possibly be?’
"Bring it on then. No favoritism from me, even if Luna is my own little sister." He declared confidently, and then Selene stepped forward and brought out her necklace, making his eyes widen immediately in surprise.
The centerpiece was a perfectly polished pearl that gleamed in the light, and the thread that had been passed through it was equally as silver as the pearl itself, creating a cohesive aesthetic.
There was even an intricate design engraved delicately on the pearl’s surface that looked like an elegant heart.
Steam practically came out of his ears from how impressive it was.
"Beautiful work. I rate this a whole ten out of ten." Luke said with genuine appreciation, and she smiled sweetly at the compliment.
"Brother-in-law is so cute when he’s trying to be serious~"
She walked out of the way gracefully and the next person to take her place was Vanessa, who bit her lip nervously as she showed her own creation.
It was a polished red shell, however she had carefully carved it in a way that made it look like a singular perfect drop of water, or perhaps more accurately blood given the color.
The string lines had small decorative beads threaded on them as well which made the whole piece look stylish and elegant.
"Beautiful as well! I’ll rate this ten out of ten as well." Luke said enthusiastically, genuinely impressed by the craftsmanship.
He continued rating pieces from several more girls, each one showing remarkable creativity and skill then he suddenly realized something with growing concern.
Each of them was receiving ten out of ten scores because their shell necklaces were genuinely full of innovative ideas and careful execution. He was going to have to pick between all tens somehow.
Emilia walked up confidently while holding hers, and he immediately recognized what the shape looked like with dawning horror.
It was unmistakably shaped like a dick with balls, except the crystal had been polished to a shine and there seemed to be some kind of liquid inside a hollow chamber in the necklace.
"I don’t really care about the rating for mine..." Emilia said with a mischievous grin as she squeezed the tip of her own jewel creation firmly.
White fluid came flying out in a stream, hitting Luke directly in the face and covering his features. It made Emilia burst out laughing and she immediately ran off to go meet up with Lucius, leaving Luke sputtering.
"What’s this...?" Luke tried desperately wiping it off his face with his hands, but some had already gotten in his mouth. "It tastes weird..."
"It’s yogurt." Amber pointed out helpfully. "She used it for decorating her sandcastle earlier too..."
"No, this doesn’t taste like yogurt at all... it’s somehow both salty and sweet at the same time." He said, working his tongue around his mouth trying to identify the flavor. "And it’s very sticky too... I feel like it’s coating my throat."
Vanessa’s leg trembled visibly as a deep red flush crept up her cheeks completely, her eyes going wide.
"That’s not yogurt! It’s Lucius’s cum!" She exclaimed loudly without thinking.
Luke’s face went through several rapid expressions in succession, from confusion to understanding to absolute horror.
He immediately leapt off the rock where he was seated and threw himself into the water, letting the ocean swallow him whole as he tried to escape reality.
’I was tasting his cum! That bastard’s cum?! Another man’s cum!! I want to die!!’ He thought desperately as the sea took him under, however he was suddenly yanked up by the leg and pulled back to the surface by Luna.
"Pull yourself together, big brother... It’s just cum..." She said firmly while gripping his ankle, though his hands immediately went for the water again desperately.
’It’s just cum, she says...’
This time he scooped up handfuls of seawater and she let go of his leg. He scooped massive amounts of water into his mouth constantly, washing and rinsing it until he could no longer feel any trace of the taste and then he trudged miserably back to his judging stone, trying to regain his composure.
Apart from what had hit his face, a bit of the fluid had apparently gotten onto the rock surface as well. Lilliane was currently licking it off the stone while her tail wagged happily back and forth.
"Luna’s big brother wasn’t lying, it really is sweet~" She said with obvious enjoyment as she pulled back and kept licking the inside of her mouth just to savor the taste longer.
Luke sat down once more on the rock and took several deep breaths, trying to maintain his calm and dignity after that traumatic experience.
"Luna... your jewel is the only one I haven’t seen yet." Luke said, desperately wanting to move past what had just happened.
Luna stepped forward and pulled out hers, letting it roll out into her palm to display it properly.
Instead of using the whole crystal shell, there were now two letter L’s that had been carefully cut and shaped.
It seemed like the crystal had been meticulously carved until only these two interlocking L’s remained, and the string went through them both. The sun reflected off the crystal letters and created a very beautiful prismatic effect.
"One L stands for Lucius and the other stands for Luna... that’s why there are two of them." She explained while placing a hand confidently on her waist. "What do you think of it?"
Luke cleared his throat, genuinely moved by the thoughtfulness and skill.
"It’s honestly a piece of jewelry that can stand out on its own amongst all the others... it’s quite impressive work, so I will give you a ten out of ten as well." He said sincerely, then looked sheepishly at all of the assembled girls. "I guess all of them were so good and creative that I had to give everyone ten-out-of-tens. I can’t choose a winner."
Just then Lucius finally arrived after finishing with his fans, and Emilia was holding his hand while walking beside him.
Luke turned briefly livid at the sight but he controlled himself with a deep, calming sigh.
"Oh... you guys were making jewelry?" Lucius asked with interest, and immediately all of their necklaces disappeared from their individual hands and materialized around his neck in a colorful collection. "I’ll wear all of them then, they’re all too pretty to choose between."
Selene gave Luke a pointed look as if to say ’See exactly what I meant?’ and he nodded in understanding.
Just then Amber’s phone rang with an urgent tone, and she pulled it out from inside her swimsuit that surprisingly had hidden pockets built in.
She answered the call and listened for a moment, then her eyes widened significantly before she held the phone out to Lucius.
"My father would like to speak to you." She said seriously.
He took the phone from her and placed it casually against his ear.
"Yes, Mr. President?" He asked in a polite but disinterested tone.
"Ah, it’s good that you could answer, Lucius..." The President’s voice came through. "The World Powers are currently holding an emergency meeting about you and your recent actions, and it would be very beneficial if you could show up to—"
"Not interested... I’m on vacation." Lucius interrupted flatly.
"But this is extremely important—"
"Again, I’m on vacation right now..." He repeated firmly. "I’m not interested in attending any meetings or political discussions at this time."
And with that decisive statement, he hung up the call before handing the phone back to Amber, then immediately took Emilia’s hand again.
"Alright, let’s continue with our beach day. Who wants to help bury Emilia and Luke in the sand?" He asked enthusiastically.
