Chapter 731: You Deserve Better
Chapter 731: Chapter 731: You Deserve Better
Of course, I have my own little thoughts in mind. If Ye Liyan really meets someone he likes, he won’t stop him and probably couldn’t even if he wanted to.
But the precondition is that the person they find must treat the two kids well. If not, he definitely wouldn’t stand by and do nothing, he would make them suffer.
Not long after, I saw Brother Lin bringing the police back. No matter how much that family tried to argue, they were still taken back to the station.
Lin Kaixin had to go to the police station to record a statement, so she came over to greet Xinyan first, "Sorry to make you laugh, I’ll go record my statement first and catch up with you later."
Xinyan just nodded at her, "Go ahead, I just got here myself."
Seeing there was nothing more to watch, the people around dispersed.
Xinyan took the two little ones back to the courtyard, while He Jinxuan brought the things he had prepared in the car for them.
When Xinyan entered the courtyard, she asked, "Where’s your dad? Why haven’t I seen him?"
Ye Silai acted like a little adult, "He said he had a breakthrough and went back to the research institute to discuss with others."
Upon hearing this, Xinyan thought to herself that this was typical of someone involved in research. She looked at the two little ones with some sympathy, "Did he mention when he would be back?"
Ye Silai shook his head.
Xinyan looked at He Jinxuan, "If he doesn’t come back late, let’s take the two kids with us since it’s holiday time now."
He Jinxuan nodded, "Alright, as you say."
Lin Kaixin came back rather quickly, and instead of going home, she first went to the Ye Family, "Xinyan, I’m really sorry."
Xinyan, after having interacted with Lin Kaixin a few times, thought she was quite nice. She quietly asked with a bit of confusion, "How did such a smart person like you end up with someone like that?"
Lin Kaixin sighed and leaned closer to Xinyan, "Who could have thought that family is constantly putting on makeup and acting every day."
Xinyan suddenly laughed, "I guess now they’re regretting overacting and losing you, a precious catch."
Lin Kaixin let out a heavy sigh, "Exactly, just now at the police station, they even begged for my forgiveness. Truly thick-skinned."
The two of them whispered a few more words before getting to the point, "Xinyan, the annual dividends have already been deposited into your account according to the contract. We never expected those designs to be so popular once launched.
As the year-end approaches, orders are still coming in, and the factory leaders are both happy and worried. Production capacity is limited, and they hesitate to accept more orders."
She immediately asked, "It’s rare to see you. I wanted to ask, do you have any new design drafts coming up? Rest assured, following the old rules, we won’t let you lose out."
Xinyan had actually prepared spring designs for three styles each of boys’ and girls’ clothing, but she didn’t want to reveal them yet, "I’ll need a few more days, still thinking it over."
Lin Kaixin nodded, not wanting to push too hard, and then remembered something, "I heard you are getting engaged?"
Xinyan smiled slightly and nodded back, "Yes, how did you know?"
Lin Kaixin laughed, "Heard it from Brother Ye."
Xinyan, hearing her answer, couldn’t help but glance at He Jinxuan.
He Jinxuan understood Xinyan’s thought at a glance, "I got a reliable source and came over once I heard."
Xinyan looked at Lin Kaixin and suddenly had an idea, but she didn’t dare to say it out loud in front of everyone, so she decided to observe the changes quietly.
Lin Kaixin stayed until Xinyan and the kids were about to leave before heading back to her own home.
The reason she stayed with the Ye Family was that she didn’t want to face her family. Her momentary lapse of judgment had implicated them, and she felt truly apologetic.
Xinyan noticed her thoughts and patted her on the shoulder, "You’re so capable and beautiful, you deserve better. Running away isn’t the answer, keep going."
Lin Kaixin was grateful for Xinyan’s words, "Thank you."
Xinyan had the two little ones get in the car and told Lin Kaixin, "Please tell Ye Liyan that we’ve taken the two kids with us."
Lin Kaixin nodded in agreement, watched the car leave, and then went back to her own courtyard. She also realized that some things couldn’t be avoided and had to be faced directly. Xinyan was right; she deserved better.
