Chapter 750: You’ll Regret This One Day
Chapter 750: Chapter 750: You’ll Regret This One Day
Han Jingchen’s face darkened after listening to his wife’s words: "I know about this. No matter who it is, nobody is as important as you all. I will handle this matter."
Gu Wanqing felt a bit relieved hearing him say this: "When will you come back?"
Han Jingchen glanced at his watch: "I still have a meeting, the timing is uncertain. I’ll try my best to come back for dinner with you. If I’m not back by then, don’t wait for me, just eat first."
They chatted a few more sentences when someone came to call out: "Leader, it’s time for the meeting."
Han Jingchen nodded at the secretary at the door and then said to Gu Wanqing on the phone: "I have to go to the meeting now. You be good at home and wait for me."
These words made the person on the other end of the phone blush and quietly retort: "What nonsense are you talking about? Hurry up and go to your meeting."
Han Jingchen’s magnetic voice, tinged with a smile, came through: "At your service."
After hanging up the phone, Gu Wanqing patted her blushing face and playfully cursed in her heart: "So annoying."

Meanwhile, Zhou Jingzhe stormed in, furious, and with a gloomy face, started finding fault with everyone in the family.
Zhou Guyu erupted in anger: "Zhou Jingzhe, what exactly do you want?"
Without waiting for Zhou Jingzhe to speak, continued: "With your behavior, anyone with a bit of sense wouldn’t want to associate with you, let alone Uncle Han."
These words hit Zhou Jingzhe where it hurt: "My affairs are not for you to meddle with. Why didn’t you say something earlier? You just wanted to bask in the glory if the plan worked. Now that you see there’s no hope, you come to kick me when I’m down. You’re really something."
Zhou Guyu didn’t want to argue with her. When Zhou Jingzhe first had the idea of getting close to someone influential, she had thought of warning her but realized it would be useless given her stubbornness. She thought it best to let things be and figured Zhou Jingzhe would realize the truth once her plans failed.
If Uncle Han had agreed, it could only mean Zhou Jingzhe was lucky. She never had any intention of gaining from her connections, and even if there were benefits, Zhou Jingzhe’s acceptance would be necessary, so she simply had no such thoughts.
But she didn’t expect that, even after being openly and secretly rejected multiple times, Zhou Jingzhe remained oblivious, making it all seem unbelievable.
Now it was settled. Even if Uncle Han didn’t say anything, how could their father still have the face to associate with them? This comradery has come to an end.
When Zhou Dongping’s wife, Cai Xiaoqin, came home and learned about what father and daughter had done today, she lashed out: "Zhou Dongping, are you out of your mind, joining her in this nonsense?
Isn’t it great now? You even dared to go to them and claim their young lady is poorly raised, utterly ridiculous."
Then she turned to Zhou Jingzhe, whose face had turned pale: "Zhou Jingzhe, haven’t you caused enough trouble? Do you think the Zhou Family is not embarrassed enough by you?"
Zhou Jingzhe didn’t expect her mother to say she was causing trouble. Thinking about how the family was unanimously against her, she was so angry she turned to head to her and Zhou Guyu’s room and slammed the door shut.
The sound of the door shutting even startled Cai Xiaoqin, who was standing outside, and she shouted angrily: "Zhou Jingzhe."
When there was no response from the room, she turned and vented her anger on her husband, Zhou Dongping: "Wasn’t Mr. Su’s warning last time enough? Zhou Dongping, what are you thinking? Why did you take her there? Are you trying to end your friendship?"
Seeing Zhou Dongping keeping quiet: "Didn’t we agree earlier not to let Jingzhe disturb them about this matter anymore? You’ll regret it sooner or later."
