Chapter 1815 - 1809: Giving Food

Chapter 1815: Chapter 1809: Giving Food

The women had endless things to talk about. Once they finished one topic, another one would come up, and by the end, everyone felt like they had found soulmates.

"Oh wow, that was such a joyful chat, I never imagined we could talk this much and have such a great time," Qing Zhu genuinely didn’t expect it.

"Yes, even though I’ve known you for so long, we’ve never had such a deep conversation. Now I realize you’re quite the conversational expert," Qin Xue was also surprised.

Even though Qing Zhu didn’t bring up any profound topics, no matter the subject, she could always chime in with a line or two. Thus, Qin Xue decided, whether Qing Zhu was An Xiaochen or not, she was going to be her friend.

"They say three women together make a drama, and that’s absolutely true," Nangong Beiying, although not saying much, would occasionally join in with a sentence or two.

"Yes, they also say women are the spreaders of news, which fully demonstrates how scary gossiping women can be. But let’s agree, I’m just talking casually, I don’t want to be that annoying woman," Qin Xue quickly waved her hands, where there are women, there’s gossip; this saying is both right and wrong.

Qin Xue didn’t want to be the woman who spreads gossip, so their talks weren’t about household trivialities but about what to do when they return to the Imperial Capital.

"You don’t want to, but we might," Nangong Beiying glanced at her indifferently. What a traitor, they hadn’t really said much, yet she surrendered first.

"So, we’re a bunch of high-IQ women, hehe," Qin Xue replied to Nangong Beiying’s words with a smile.

Only Nangong Beiying dared to retort to her without reserve; if it were anyone else, she’d surely put them in their place.

"Excuse me, high-IQ Qin Xue, would you like to eat something?" Qing Teng placed a bag of snacks in front of Qin Xue.

"Of course, why not eat when there’s food," Qin Xue reached out and grabbed a piece to eat.

"How about you guys, want some?" Qing Teng asked the others.

"Just like Qin Xue said, of course we eat when there’s food," everyone took a piece.

"Do you want any?" Qing Teng was about to turn around when she noticed a pregnant woman with a child eagerly watching her distribute the food. Qing Teng glanced at the last piece of snack in the bag and asked the mother and child, it wasn’t enough to share.

"No need, thank you." Dongfang Li shook her head.

"There’s only one piece left. Let the kid have a taste," Qing Teng handed the bag to the pregnant woman. Seeing the little one’s eager eyes, clearly wanting it but holding back without making a sound, made Qing Teng willing to give it to him.

"Thank you, I’ll pay you," the pregnant woman hurriedly searched for money. Taking someone else’s things for free didn’t feel right.

"No need, I said it’s for the child, let him enjoy it, it’s okay," Qing Teng refused her money.

"Nannan, thank Auntie," Dongfang Li looked at the child in her arms, prompting him to thank Qing Teng.

"Thank you, Auntie." Nannan obediently followed his mother’s words to express gratitude.

"Ah, Nannan, no need to thank me, be good and listen to your mom, okay?" Qing Teng looked at the two-year-old, along with the other kids in the coach.

Her kids were being taken care of by their uncle, sitting a bit far away. Otherwise, this child could probably play together with them.

"Okay." Nannan’s soft, childish voice came out.

"Such a good boy." Qing Teng gently touched his head and then returned to her seat.

"What’s up with that woman and the child?" As soon as Qing Teng returned to her seat, Qin Xue couldn’t help but ask.

"I don’t know, I didn’t ask," Qing Teng replied, it’s not something you ask people you just met.
