She couldn’t possibly tell Qin Xue and the others that it was because the two of them had a fight, and for certain reasons, she no longer wanted to live with him, so she left with the child. She couldn’t bring herself to say that, nor could she bring out her personal matters like that, so she had to give a half-truth, half-false explanation.

"It’s alright, since you’re pregnant and with a child, it’s better to be more careful." Qin Xue advised. Seeing that she didn’t want to tell the truth, Qin Xue didn’t press further. Everyone has secrets they don’t want to share, especially since they weren’t familiar with each other. She merely gave a reminder.

"I will, thank you for your concern." Dongfang Li nodded toward Qin Xue and Nangong Beiying.

After this little interlude, it seemed like the matter passed. No one in the car came looking again, and it continued peacefully toward the Imperial Capital until Chu Molin came to find Qin Xue.

"Xue’er, we have about an hour before we get off, don’t rush to leave, wait for us together, alright?" Chu Molin had been with the children throughout the journey, not letting Qin Xue handle them.

Now that it was almost time to get off, he came with the children to find Qin Xue, just afraid she’d get separated from them.

"Alright." Chu Molin agreed without a second thought, there were many people over there, and someone would handle the luggage. He was fine staying with his wife here.

"Kids, did you miss mommy?" Qin Xue looked at the children; Chu Molin had brought over all four of them.

"Yes." They had long wanted to find their mother, but their father said they couldn’t, saying mother needed rest and couldn’t be disturbed, so they held back and didn’t come.

Now that their father had brought them over, they finally saw their mother, whom they hadn’t seen since boarding last night, how could they not miss her?

"I missed you all too." Qin Xue truly missed them, but Chu Molin insisted that the kids were their responsibility, urging her to eat and sleep at ease, so she didn’t bother much.

"Understood, then I won’t say anything." Yu Chen lowered his head to eat his snacks, listening to his mother and them talking and laughing.

"This child, well, do as you please." Qin Xue didn’t bother with Yu Chen further, as long as he was eating well and not starving, so she didn’t stop him from eating.

After all, it’s not like he’s overeating; Qin Xue felt he just likes to eat.

"Mom, can I play with that brother?" Yu Chen, finding no fun after eating for a while, looked up at his mother. That brother looked alone, with no one to play with him, so pitiful.

"You have to make sure not to bully the little brother, understand?" Qin Xue glanced at Dongfang Li, and seeing no objection, she reminded Yu Chen.

"Understood, treat little brother like an older brother." Yu Chen nodded, dad said older brother was his elder, they couldn’t fight with their elder, and this little brother is also a brother, so he’s an elder, thus no fighting allowed.
