"Why are you guys so slow coming up the stairs? I could hear your voices from afar, but I’ve been waiting for ages and still haven’t seen anyone." "What are you talking about? Where do I have a future father-in-law? Don’t talk nonsense." Qing Zhu was displeased. She has never thought about getting married, so in-laws and such are not within her consideration.

"Do you really want your child to grow up in a single-parent family?" Qin Xue retorted as soon as she heard Qing Zhu’s words.

"What’s wrong with that? I grew up without parents, and I’ve lived quite well too." Qing Zhu feels those with parents are no better off than someone like her without them.

"You are not the same as her situation. You are living well, but are you truly happy? Is there no regret in your heart?" Qin Xue was somewhat frustrated with her stubbornness.

But undeniably, kids growing up in complete families lead much happier and more joyful lives in the future, right?" Qin Xue isn’t trying to force Qing Zhu into marrying Ye Xuan.

But Ye Xuan is truly a good person. She doesn’t want Qing Zhu’s past experiences to continue into the next generation. Whatever happens, at the very least, they should try dating first. If it’s truly unsuitable, no one will force her to marry, right?
