Chapter 2047: Chapter 2041: Way of Handling Affairs
That’s why Qin Xue thought about having Chu Molin take them out one day every week. This way, they could spend time with their father and learn some of his ways of dealing with things.
It’s just that Qin Xue made this decision without discussing it with Chu Molin, so she’s unsure what he thinks of it.
But Qin Xue feels that he won’t oppose it because she believes she knows what he’s always wanted.
And just as Qin Xue thought, Chu Molin quickly agreed.
"Mom, can we go see Nannan and little sister after we finish eating?" Yu Chen recalls Xue Ling saying that their mother would go to the shop today, where Qing Yuran would be.
"Do you all want to go?" Qin Xue glanced at her youngest son. He must be bored at home, always eager to go out.
"We do." This time, it wasn’t just Yu Chen answering; all three children replied to Qin Xue together.
"Alright, let’s go together. Just make sure you listen. I won’t have time to watch over you, and I’m worried about accidents. So, you’ll have to behave and listen to Xue Ling, understand?" Qin Xue considered that taking the kids along with her wouldn’t be a problem as long as they listened.
"Okay, we’ll behave." The kids got what they wanted and readily agreed.
"That’s good. Chu Molin, do you want to go with us?" Qin Xue asked the man beside her.
"Sure." Chu Molin also wanted to find out what his wife was up to. He wouldn’t know otherwise.
"That’s great. After dinner, we’ll finish making the fish balls and head out together." Qin Xue nodded, making the decision.
"Yay, we get to go out and play." Yu Chen happily ate the porridge in his bowl, wanting to eat enough before going out to play.
"Kids, eat well. You need to be full before going out to play." Qin Xue reminded them because she worried they might not eat properly due to excitement.
"Got it, Mom, we’ll eat until we’re full." Cohen was the first to reassure Qin Xue.
"Okay." Chu Molin looked at the children’s joyful faces and simply nodded.
After the family finished eating, the kids went off to do their own activities, while Qin Xue didn’t worry about what they were up to. The couple went straight into the kitchen to complete leftover tasks, while Xue Ling did her own thing. Their household was an image hard for outsiders to comprehend, yet harmonious enough not to reveal any flaws.
Besides them, perhaps no one else could truly understand this.
Because the couple believes that not only do adults need their own space, children also need theirs. When they need adults, they will say so. If they don’t mention it, it shows they can handle it themselves, without needing parents to intervene. So, they gave them enough space to do what they want.
This is why there’s peace and separation in their home.
This is a situation many parents strive for but rarely achieve.
Adults often know what children want to do but believe they are too young, so they take over. This deprives them of hands-on opportunities, and it’s one reason why society later sees so many "overgrown babies."
Due to parents’ indulgence, children remain in their tiny world. Can they grow? The answer is certainly no.
"Ready to go? Are you all set?" After making the fish balls, Qin Xue and Chu Molin were prepared to leave, but they noticed the kids hadn’t come out yet, unaware of what they were doing.
"Coming." The kids hadn’t emerged yet, but they shouted in response to their mother.
