Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2056 - 2050: Skipping Work

Chapter 2056: Chapter 2050: Skipping Work

"Boss, you’re here! Have you eaten?" Li Zhao didn’t go to work this morning; he was at home with his wife and daughter because he knew Chu Molin and the others were coming over today. So, he worked overtime last night to finish today’s tasks, informed the person in charge, and skipped work today.

"We ate before coming here. Didn’t you guys eat?" Chu Molin watched Li Zhao clumsily feeding his child a bowl of lean meat porridge and suddenly wondered if he had been like that back then, too.

"We ate, this is cooled down to feed the child." Li Zhao and his family are currently living in the store, which has a dining and living area in the backyard, so they cook at the store, which is very convenient for them.

"Hmm." Chu Molin sat across from the father and daughter, while Qin Xue and Qing Zhu had gone to find An Hao as soon as they arrived.

"Judging by your look, you succeeded last night." Chu Molin looked at Li Zhao with a tone so certain that there was no trace of doubt.

"At first, she was unwilling. It was only after I made a solemn promise that she agreed. Don’t ever upset a woman again; I just wanted to live here, and yet it took so much effort. If it really came to the point of separating, even if I died in front of her, she might not soften her heart." Li Zhao recalled last night when An Hao told him to stay at a hotel or go home.

If it wasn’t for his thick skin, he definitely wouldn’t have stayed.

"Enough, don’t act all hurt after getting what you wanted. Just think about the grievances she’s suffered these days. Now that you managed to stay, you should be grateful." Chu Molin truly had nothing more to say. This matter was indeed tricky to handle. As men, they aren’t as meticulous as women, but it’s also because of this that women’s hearts are more easily hurt.

As husbands, they need to be more concerned about their wives’ emotional journeys, which is the right thing to do.

"I know, I will change my previous attitude, and won’t let her suffer such grievances again." Li Zhao has said this more than once. He realized that his daughter doesn’t smile as much as before, even though at a few months old she doesn’t understand much, he still feels the issues between adults affect the child. For his daughter, for his wife, and for this family, he must act as the bridge to maintain the balance.

"Good thinking, I believe you can handle it well." Chu Molin looked at the child in Li Zhao’s arms. He doesn’t have a daughter to dote on, so he would spoil his wife more.

"You guys are here to fix up the store today, right? The third brother should be here soon too." Li Zhao and his family’s store was set up by Xiao Qi, and now Qin Xue’s store is, of course, too.

"No rush, this isn’t something that can be done in a day or two, we’ll take it slow." Chu Molin was really in no rush; if he didn’t trust his own brothers, then no one was trustworthy.

"Sister-in-law has too many ideas, I’m going to be outshone by her." Li Zhao suddenly blurted out.

"It’s normal; I’ve already been outshone." Chu Molin didn’t feel like it made him any less of a man.

"Zhaozi, don’t listen to him. If he were easily outdone by me, I wouldn’t have chosen him. There’s no sense of who’s higher or lower between a husband and wife. To make a home better, both have to work hard together." Qin Xue wouldn’t let Chu Molin belittle himself; there’s no concept of superiority between a couple.

"Sister-in-law." Li Zhao greeted Qin Xue.

"Mm, An Hao said Xiao Qi should be here soon, so I came over to see Jing Yi." Qin Xue took out a steamed cake from her bag for Li Jingyi.

"Thank you." Li Zhao received it and thanked her.

Meanwhile, Chu Molin watched but didn’t say anything. When did his wife bring that? How could he not know? He thought that since she took it out from her bag, it must have been stored in her space before she took it out.
