Qin Xue thought that since none of them were Nangong Beiying, they wouldn’t know when she’d figure things out, so there was no point in continuing the discussion.

"Right." Li Zhao looked at Xiao Qi with some dissatisfaction. His wife had never praised him as a good man, but she always seemed to compliment Xiao Qi.

Even with some issues still between him and his wife, he couldn’t voice his displeasure.

He could only give Xiao Qi a look, hoping he’d get the hint. But Xiao Qi was too caught up in his own worries to care about what Li Zhao was thinking.

"Alright then. I wanted you guys to stay for dinner, but I guess next time. I’ll definitely treat you to a meal." An Hao wanted to keep them for a meal, but hearing Qin Xue, she didn’t push it. Besides, her mood hadn’t been great lately, so she thought it’d be better to reschedule.

"There’s always time to eat. Just let me know in advance when you’re free, and come to my place. It’s spacious." Qin Xue thought it was just a minor issue, so anytime would work.

"Let’s go." Chu Molin finally spoke up after they finished talking.

"Alright." Qin Xue turned and smiled at Chu Molin, and the three walked side by side.

Qing Zhu felt like a third wheel between the two of them. They weren’t talking, but the atmosphere was filled with pink bubbles, making one sweetly envious.

"I just remembered I have something to do. I’ll go ahead. You guys head back first." Qing Zhu couldn’t help but slip away in the end.
