Chapter 2108 - 2102: Delivering Medicine

Chapter 2108: Chapter 2102: Delivering Medicine

"You’re doing it for this family, wanting us to live better lives. How could I ever think you’re being opportunistic? Don’t overthink it. I just want you to do what you love, I’ll handle everything else." Chu Molin noticed her uneasy movements; she had a habit of hooking her little fingers together, like making a pinky promise, when she was anxious.

And when she lies, she unconsciously touches her earlobe, so after spending more time with her, Qin Xue got to know some of her body language.

Perhaps Qin Xue didn’t even realize how many of her thoughts she was inadvertently revealing.

"I’m so lucky to have you." At this moment, Qin Xue felt this was the only sentence that could express her inner feelings.

"Hey, Mom, are you blushing?" Yu Chen, nestled in his father’s arms, listening to his parents’ conversation, kept looking back and forth and suddenly exclaimed as if discovering a new continent.

"What?" Qin Xue was stunned. Could her son stop being so startled all the time?

"I just think you felt embarrassed, Mom. Brother said this would make you blush. So, Mom, is it because Dad praised you that you’re embarrassed?" Yu Chen’s clever words made Qin Xue feel ashamed.

"No, stop talking nonsense. I just feel like there were too many things to do tonight. I forgot to send the medicine to that kid today. They might still be waiting at home to brew the medicine for his sister to take a bath," Qin Xue explained. After a nap today, she forgot because Qing Zhu and the others came over; who knew another incident would happen at night, delaying her until she forgot.

"I’ll go, give me the medicine, and I’ll deliver it." As soon as Xue Ling heard, she accepted the task directly.

"It’s so late, let’s go tomorrow. She won’t have any issues with those medicines tonight," Qin Xue thought it might be possible that Ji Yan had already gone to bed.

"You know that’s not possible. Give it to me, I’ll go, and I’ll be back quickly." Chu Molin, after hearing his wife’s words, didn’t believe it, let alone that his wife, being a doctor, would.

When a patient hasn’t received the medicine they want, they won’t give up no matter what, so his wife saying that was just to keep them from worrying.

"Alright, I’ll give you the medicine when we get home, and you deliver it to them." Qin Xue didn’t refuse anymore; she was thinking of going herself, but she needed to shower first, otherwise, she’d be carrying too many germs.

"Okay." Chu Molin had no objections, so he went.

"Here, take this, enough for three days, one dose per day, soak for half an hour," Qin Xue handed over the prepared medicine packet to Chu Molin as soon as they got home.

"Alright, lock the door well, I’ll be back as soon as I deliver it," Chu Molin took it and reminded his wife.

"Okay, I know." Even without Chu Molin saying it, Qin Xue would do it; safety first, after all, it was nighttime.

With the medicine packet in hand, Chu Molin followed Qin Xue’s directions to Ji Yan’s home. Looking at the house, a slight ache touched Chu Molin’s heart.

"Knock knock" Chu Molin gathered himself and knocked on the door.

"Who’s there?" Ji Yan’s voice, in the process of breaking, sounded from inside.

"It’s me, the doctor from this afternoon’s husband, I’m here to deliver your medicine." Chu Molin, unsure how to introduce himself, explained his intent in a roundabout way.

"Oh, it’s you, why come so late?" Ji Yan, upon hearing Chu Molin’s voice, finally realized who he was.

"Got held up at home with something, but I managed to get it to you. I was worried you might still be waiting, so I brought it over. How’s your sister’s condition?" Chu Molin handed the medicine packet to Ji Yan.
