Chapter 2287: Chapter 2281: Coming Up with Ideas
"The school I used to go to would be fine, but now it’s vacation time. To find out more, you’d have to visit the principal’s house. However, I’m not particularly close to the principal, but my dad is." Chu Xiaoqiao thought transferring schools wasn’t particularly difficult, but it required connections and inquiries.
To find out what the requirements are to transfer, you need someone to ask about it. She attended the school due to her excellent grades, as she gained admission through exams. Now, she is unsure about Qin Jiale’s academic performance, so the best course is to ask someone to see if they can allow Jiale to take an entrance exam.
The person capable of handling this matter is her father, but she believes Qin Xue wouldn’t go to her dad.
So, she has to ask herself, but first, she needs to know what her sister-in-law thinks.
"Is there no other way? Just give me the principal’s address, and I’ll go personally to make inquiries." Qin Xue doesn’t want to ask for favors, especially not from the Chus. This isn’t about wanting to take a shortcut; she believes that letting her sister earn her place by merit will gain her respect and prevent bullying.
"There is, but are you sure you don’t want my dad’s help?" Chu Xiaoqiao knows that if her father goes personally, the transfer is guaranteed, but if Qin Xue goes, it’s uncertain.
This isn’t about thinking her father is so amazing; it’s about connections.
"No, I don’t need it, I’ll find someone myself." Qin Xue rejected firmly, as she wouldn’t do anything Chu Molin isn’t willing to do.
"Alright then, just go tomorrow. It’s getting late today, let’s go for a walk, then head home. You can find someone tomorrow morning." Seeing Qin Xue’s clear stance, Chu Xiaoqiao decided to let her be. She also wanted to see Qin Jiale enter that school based on her own merits.
Those inside were quite capable, or the standards wouldn’t be so high.
"Okay, I don’t have any objections to that. But where do we go for a walk now?" Qin Xue hadn’t been to this side before. It was her oversight, something she should’ve done earlier to familiarize herself with the local area. Yet, she only moved between her home, her store, and the research institute, not here.
Qin Xue realized she needed to change this habit gradually. She used to be familiar with her previous surroundings, but since arriving here, she’d only been confined to a small area.
"Do you want to buy anything or go somewhere fun? I can take you, don’t worry, I’m very familiar with this area, so we won’t get lost." Chu Xiaoqiao assuaged their concerns with a promise.
"You don’t have to say it; I believe you. Aren’t you tired doing this?" Qin Jiale looked at Chu Xiaoqiao, wondering how she could be so at ease. Could it be she wasn’t tired at all from walking this far?
"That’s quite normal, and you’ll understand in time." Chu Xiaoqiao didn’t quite know how to explain it better to Qin Jiale. She’d been trained since childhood with older boys, and if walking this much wore her out, she suspected she’d be sent back for more training.
Thinking of her grandfather’s style, Chu Xiaoqiao shivered slightly. Even though he cherished her, he was very strict. His words were that since she was a girl, she should train even harder so no one could bully her.
If anyone mistreats you, retaliate. If grandpa is here, grandpa will help you. If grandpa isn’t, your dad and brother will back you up. How can any child of the Chus be bullied?
These were the words Chu Xiaoqiao heard most frequently since childhood, and she was the one trained the hardest, surpassing even her brother.
