Chapter 2394: Chapter 2388: Happy Now?
"You always have your reasons," Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue helplessly. But he didn’t have the time to continue this discussion with her. Firstly, he couldn’t waste any more time, and secondly, there was no way to talk to her about it because she always had a reason to counter. In the end, he would be the one compromising, making it all pointless.
In the end, Chu Molin couldn’t come up with anything to say, so he decided not to say anything more to her. He could never bring himself to blame her, and this resulted in her having the tendency of taking advantage of the situation.
"No, it’s really just this one time. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Xiao Yu. He’s been at home the whole time, he saw me leave," Qin Xue almost forgot about this, never expecting to bump into him returning. So, she couldn’t help but back down, because she was indeed in the wrong.
"Let’s go. We still have to catch a bus; we can’t waste any more time," Chu Molin reached out to pull her along. Continuing the conversation was pointless; it was more important to get things done.
"Alright," Qin Xue was actually relieved to hear Chu Molin say this, so she was happy to hear it.
"Feeling good now?" Chu Molin looked at Qin Xue, knowing her intentions full well but still reluctant to call her out. He really was in too deep.
"Mm," Qin Xue smiled sweetly. She always felt happiest with Chu Molin’s pampering, so she felt good hearing him ask.
"There’s really nothing I can do about you. Let’s go. You haven’t eaten yet, right? Let’s grab something to eat. Otherwise, you won’t have time to eat later." They had to wait for the bus together and couldn’t dawdle.
"Mm, you haven’t eaten either, right? I’ll grab a bit more, so we all have something to fill our stomachs," Qin Xue thought about what from today’s meal would be convenient to bring.
"Okay, let me carry the bag for you. You go get it," Chu Molin watched her heading to the kitchen with a bag, feeling it looked awkward no matter how he saw it.
"No need, the things inside aren’t heavy. I can carry it," Qin Xue saw that he was already carrying a lot. She couldn’t let him carry more for her; she had to take care of it herself.
"Alright, just be careful. Don’t cry if you fall later," Chu Molin joked for once.
"Come on, I’m so cute, how could I have such bad luck?" Qin Xue responded with a girly reaction.
"Just be normal, this is really unusual," indeed, Chu Molin didn’t like hearing Qin Xue talk like this. He felt that was more suitable when they were alone in their room, not outside. It felt too strange.
"Haha, fine, I won’t argue with you. Time is really tight," Qin Xue replied before entering the kitchen.
"Sis, the food I packed for you is here," Qin Yu called out when he heard Qin Xue. He had his sister pack it up, and it was already on the table.
"So you took it out, no wonder I didn’t see it," Qin Xue noticed the empty kitchen and hearing her brother, she went straight to the living room.
"I worried you wouldn’t have enough time, so I asked my sister to pack it for you. Just take it with you," Qin Yu handed the small bag next to him to his sister.
"So much? What’s in here? I don’t remember making anything easily portable," Qin Xue asked her brother.
"I had my sister boil some eggs and a few taros," Qin Yu wasn’t sure what they needed, so when Qin Xue hadn’t returned yet, he asked his sister to mind the kids and cook something, and then he packed some meals into a container.
