Chapter 2432: Chapter 2426: This Is the "Minor" Injury You Mentioned?
"It’s probably fate, right? Disaster often brings fortune afterward. I hope things will only get better for them from now on." Qin Xue looked at Chu Molin’s shoulder. She had been so busy that she hadn’t noticed him. When she hugged him just now, she felt him flinch slightly. Could he be hurt?
"Xue’er." Chu Molin felt Qin Xue’s movement and immediately grabbed her hand.
"Are you handling it yourself, or should I help you? You’ve got some guts, huh, getting hurt and not saying a word. Did you let a dog eat all those times I talked to you?" Qin Xue was so angry she could hardly speak coherently.
"Uh, I just saw you were too busy, and since it was a small matter, I didn’t mention it. I applied medicine myself. It’s the good stuff you gave me." Chu Molin had waited until Qin Xue rested to take a bath, so she wasn’t aware of him being injured. But when he hugged her earlier, he hadn’t expected her to hug back, otherwise, he wouldn’t have gone for it so openly.
"I don’t care. I won’t be at ease until I’ve checked it myself." Qin Xue didn’t care how he tried to reassure her; even if he spoke eloquently, it wouldn’t help. She wouldn’t be at ease without seeing it.
"Xue’er, do you really want to look?" Chu Molin gazed at Qin Xue, wishing she wouldn’t look. His wound was quite severe, and while it was nothing to him, his wife might scold him.
"Are you kidding?" Qin Xue released him and sat directly on the chair. She wouldn’t look at him any further. It’s up to him now.
"Alright, I’ll let you see. Just please don’t be mad, okay?" Chu Molin conceded; he knew he was in the wrong.
Qin Xue watched as Chu Molin slowly unbuttoned his shirt, revealing a well-defined shoulder, but the sight of the wound was quite shocking.
"Chu Molin, this is what you call a small injury?" Qin Xue truly wanted to smack this stubborn man. Such a large wound, and he called it small! She had no idea how he got hurt. Some parts had deep indentations, indicating that something sharp had pierced him directly. It must have been terribly painful then, yet this man said nothing upon returning, claiming it was just a minor injury. She was absolutely furious.
"Xue’er, even though the wound is quite serious, for me, it’s indeed minor. Compared to injuries I’ve had before, it’s much smaller. Besides, I’ve applied medicine already. See, it’s this one." Chu Molin wasn’t lying to Qin Xue, but in comparison to previous injuries, this was nothing.
"I really want to smack you." Qin Xue glared at him angrily, wondering if he was deliberately causing her distress.
"Fine, you can smack me however you want, as long as you’re not angry. Anything goes." As long as it could make her not angry, he didn’t mind—she could punish him by not allowing him to eat if she wished.
"You said it, then you won’t be allowed in my bed for a month. Go sleep in the study." Qin Xue thought that since it was like this, she’d rather not see him. That way, he wouldn’t always be hiding things from her.
"Xue’er, can we change the punishment?" Chu Molin looked at his wife. She sure knew how to punish him, selecting the one she knew he didn’t like. Yet, she always used this to reprimand him.
"Do you think I can change it?" Qin Xue glanced at the man, thinking he deserved a lesson. Every time it was like this, clearly, his body was his; yet he had a way of making you feel concerned about him. He thought it was for her good, saying nothing, and she had discovered it many times on her own. Each time he said he understood, but the result? He kept repeating it. So this time, she was going to make it tough.
