Chapter 2435: Chapter 2429: It’s Sick
"Snow Wolf, is there anywhere else you’re feeling uncomfortable? Tell Xue Ling, and have it communicate with me. Although I’m not a vet, I can prescribe some medicine for you to try." Qin Xue sat in the chair looking at the Snow Wolf. For her, saving it meant doing it thoroughly, and leaving it half-treated would be irresponsible.
"Thank you for saving me. I wish to return home." The Snow Wolf had returned with its life intact; it wanted to go back to see its mate.
"Your body hasn’t fully recovered yet, how can you return? If you’re determined to risk your life, then you can leave." Xue Ling directly ignored it, thinking that whether it stays or leaves is no concern of theirs.
"You..." The Snow Wolf was furious, what was this about? Waking up in a strange place was bad enough, and now it got snubbed for merely speaking up. It didn’t know what to make of this situation.
Looking at the two humans, the Snow Wolf wondered how the little girl could understand its words. Could she comprehend animal language? The Snow Wolf was filled with questions, unsure of the situation. Is there really someone who understands animal language in this world?
"Stop with the ’you’ this and ’you’ that, just focus on recovering your health. Your Alpha specifically asked us to save you; otherwise, do you think we’re doing this out of boredom?" Xue Ling’s sharp tongue was evident.
"Can’t you at least tell me where I am and why you can understand what I say?" The Snow Wolf looked at Xue Ling. This was what it wanted to know; otherwise, it would just leave. In unfamiliar territory, it had no choice but to comply for now.
Better to comply first and find an opportunity later. Being reckless now would truly lead to its disadvantage—quite undesirable.
"Once you recover your health, you can leave. There’s no trouble at your Alpha’s place, don’t worry that we’re deceiving you, and there’s no need to worry we’re using you for something. We’re not after your Snow Wolf bile." Xue Ling observed the Snow Wolf, thinking perhaps it suspected their intentions for saving it.
Would anyone believe they saved it without asking for anything in return? Xue Ling thought maybe it had encountered others who seek a reward for their actions.
Xue Ling didn’t care what it thought. In her heart, she didn’t need to act that way, and Qin Xue didn’t need to achieve her goals through such measures.
Xue Ling believed everyone might act for profit, but they, master and servant, did not need to.
"You must have unfinished wishes, that’s why you’re so tenacious. Otherwise, who would have such a strong survival instinct?" Qin Xue glanced at the Snow Wolf.
"Yes, it’s for my wife; I want to save her." The Snow Wolf could understand human language, but needed Xue Ling’s translation nonetheless.
"What’s wrong with her?" Qin Xue inquired knowingly, suspecting there was a reason behind the Snow Wolf’s persistence.
"She fell ill, hasn’t eaten for a long time, and got sick without doing anything." The Snow Wolf wasn’t sure what was wrong with its mate but knew snowdrops could save her. By the way, where are the snowdrops?
"From what you’ve said, I don’t know what’s wrong either. Maybe you should find a vet to check her." Qin Xue wasn’t a vet and couldn’t treat it, but a real vet could.
But in today’s age, are there even vets available? Medical resources for humans are scarce, let alone for animals. Finding a vet might be even more difficult.
