"Chu Molin, let’s go pick up the kids," Qin Xue said as she saw Chu Molin deep in thought.

"Okay, are you tired?" Chu Molin looked up at Qin Xue, noting that she’d been busy all day before finally getting a chance to rest.

"Not too bad, what about you? Why are you here today?" Qin Xue had just walked a bit more than usual today, with nothing else major going on.

"Ye Xuan returned to work, so I came out to hand over some tasks. By chance, I bumped into Ding Xi and the others on the street and then Dongfang Li had an episode, so we ended up coming to the hospital together." Chu Molin briefly summed up the day’s events.

"Ye Xuan is back, when did this happen?" Qin Xue was puzzled, it wasn’t the agreed time yet, had they decided to come back early out of goodwill?

"I don’t know when they came back, but he went to work today and completed the handover with me." Chu Molin wasn’t sure how to explain; after the handover, he became a free man. As for whether Ye Xuan would take his position or not, that was none of his concern anymore.

So, after completing the handover, Chu Molin came back right away, not expecting such an encounter.

He hadn’t anticipated that his wife would come, especially since Li Rong had called her. He wondered how she knew where to find him.

"Alright then, are you going to rest for a while before looking for work again, or start right away?" Previously, though Chu Molin mentioned wanting to quit, he hadn’t managed to do so. Now officially retired, without a job, she wasn’t sure what he had in mind.

"I’ll rest for a while first. I want to see what the future holds and then make plans." Chu Molin wanted to focus on things he was genuinely interested in but needed to wait and see what would be best to pursue. Meanwhile, this burdens Xue to single-handedly support the family.

"That’s fine, take a good rest, and you can catch up on those books you have left. If you don’t want to continue with the family businesses, starting something new is okay too since we have nearly enough funds for you to start a venture." Qin Xue thought if it wasn’t enough, they could sell the clothing factory business to Guo Aiguo. This way, she’d be able to provide Molin with the capital for his own venture.

"No need for now, I’ll consider things carefully first and plan accordingly. Don’t worry, I won’t just sit idle at home. I’m the pillar of the family; I need to shoulder our responsibilities. It’s unfair to let you handle everything alone," Chu Molin wasn’t one to live off his wife.

He simply wanted to let his wife do what she enjoyed, but being idle and not earning money was something he’d never considered.

"I’m just worried about you being too exhausted. Now you finally have a chance to rest. So just rest well, and when you feel like working again, you can go search for something. With so many businesses going, there’s enough for us to live comfortably, so you don’t need to worry about our family’s livelihood." Qin Xue interpreted Molin’s words this way. Their family didn’t need him to rush into finding a job.

With income from the stores and clothing factory dividends, they could live comfortably without working; that’s the advantage of earning money with your brain. As long as they provide strategic input, the execution can be left to others. Qin Xue found her role as the behind-the-scenes boss extremely satisfying.

"Alright, I understand, Xue’er, thank you." Molin glanced sideways at his wife. With her by his side, even the biggest problems seemed small, nothing to worry about. Though he’s never been worried, hearing this was truly comforting.
