Chapter 2733: Chapter 2729: Are You Out of Your Mind?
"Pfft, he looks like an honest guy, but he’s really a mischievous kid inside." Qin Xue laughed out loud. He obviously wanted to leave, but he was stubborn.
"You..." Gong Xi wanted to retort, but looking at Qin Xue’s smiling face, he couldn’t say a word. Her expression clearly showed that she had seen right through him, and that she understood his thoughts perfectly.
Gong Xi had no choice but to sit back down and eat his meal. If he wasn’t worried about someone gossiping and it reaching his significant other’s ears, why would he care where they sat?
"Weren’t you going to get some soup? Go ahead, if you don’t mind, you can have this bowl. I haven’t drunk from it yet." Qin Xue looked at the young man; he was quite amusing. It seemed he could be nurtured after all. Fine, she would give him a chance.
Qin Xue made a decision in her mind. Ever since she first saw this young man, she had an idea, and now after interacting with him a bit, she felt he wasn’t bad. She just hoped he wouldn’t disappoint her in the end.
Qin Xue considered what action was best for them, so she didn’t say much else, nor did she care about the curious and inquiring glances from others.
She had her own ideas and couldn’t let others influence her judgment.
"No thanks, I’ll get it myself." Gong Xi refused Qin Xue’s offer of soup. Competing for food with a pregnant woman? He couldn’t bring himself to do that.
"Alright, keep it up." Qin Xue nodded. Her cryptic comment left people puzzled.
At least the current Gong Xi didn’t understand Qin Xue’s words. He stood up and walked towards the soup pot.
As he walked, he pondered Qin Xue’s words until the hot soup bowl burned his hand, snapping him back to reality. He was distracted by a woman’s words—was that really him?
It wasn’t that he had ulterior motives, but he felt that Qin Xue’s actions were really unlike a normal person’s. Who was so nonchalant with a stranger, especially a young man, when she was a pregnant woman? What would happen if her man saw this?
Unable to comprehend Qin Xue’s actions, Gong Xi returned to the table with a bowl of soup and sat in front of Qin Xue and Fang Hong.
"If you can’t figure it out, then don’t. Just wait for me in the factory director’s office this afternoon." Qin Xue glanced at him. Was this simple and straightforward thing so hard to understand?
Maybe it wasn’t that he didn’t understand, but rather why she was doing this?
If he didn’t know, then just throwing out a command was clearer and more straightforward.
"Are you sure?" Gong Xi looked at Qin Xue incredulously. How could she say this? Wasn’t she afraid of being judged for doing this behind the child’s father’s back?
"Are you okay in the head?" Qin Xue simply put down her chopsticks and looked at the young man across from her. What precisely had he imagined?
"You’re the one who’s crazy." Gong Xi retorted anxiously.
"Hmm, I must be crazy. Otherwise, why would I have taken a liking to you? I must be seriously crazy." Qin Xue sighed. She was starting to doubt her own judgment. Why was it so hard to cultivate a talented person?
It was clearly a good thing, but he didn’t seem willing. Should she look for someone else instead — otherwise, a forced idea won’t bear sweet fruit.
Even if she insisted on him learning with her, he might not last.
Better to see if there’s someone more suitable, Qin Xue thought. She planned to ask Guo Aiguo later if there was anyone more promising, as this kid seemed shrewd initially, but turned out to be a fool.
Now, Gong Xi was considered a fool in Qin Xue’s eyes. Would he feel like crying if he knew?
He hadn’t done anything wrong but was judged like this. If she did anything else in the future, would people say he had a mental illness?
