Chapter 2821: Chapter 2819: What Am I Supposed to Do With You
"Dad, I’ve seen that flower before." Yu Ze hadn’t expected to see that flower here. Ever since he saw it, he’d gone quiet and hadn’t said a word.
Now he was walking in the back with his father, speaking to him in a low voice.
"Where have you seen it?" He had no idea where his son could’ve seen that kind of flower. Even he had never seen it himself. Could this brat be making it up to fool him?
"In the underworld." It was because Yu Ze had seen it there that, when he saw it again now, he felt the flower had a strangely beautiful aura.
No matter what expression his father was making, he told him about it anyway.
"You remember those things?" Chu Molin walked slowly along with Yu Ze.
"Yeah, I remember." Yu Ze glanced at his father and nodded in reply.
"Who else have you told about this?" Chu Molin asked sternly. He really didn’t want other people treating his son like a freak.
If something like this got out, how would others see him? So no matter what, he couldn’t let the boy leak it.
"I’ve only told you. I didn’t even tell Mom." Yu Ze wasn’t the type to say everything that crossed his mind. He’d only spoken up because, when he saw that flower, he felt something special about it. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have told even his father.
"You can tell your mom, but you can’t ever say it to anyone else, got it?" There was a trace of tension in Chu Molin’s tone.
The people in their family were all unusual in one way or another, and his own abilities were limited. He was afraid he might not be able to protect them.
All he could do was be extra careful himself. Otherwise, what would they do in the future? He feared that even if he risked his life, he might still fail to keep them all safe.
"I know, Dad. That flower feels like it’s trying to tell us something, but I don’t know what." Everything had been perfectly normal before, nothing like this had ever happened, yet today their whole family went out together and ran into it. To say that wasn’t eerie would be impossible.
"I feel that way too, but I don’t know what it’s about either. Let’s just take it one step at a time." It was because of a strange feeling in his chest that Chu Molin had called out to Qin Xue, but she’d behaved completely normally.
Now, hearing that his son had the same kind of feeling, he was certain this place had to be foreshadowing something. They just didn’t know what it was yet.
"Can you two walk a little faster? We’re going to wash up and then rest. Whatever you want to say, save it for tomorrow." Qin Xue wasn’t about to let them dawdle in the back.
"Coming." Chu Molin answered as he walked along with his son.
"Don’t talk about it anymore from now on, remember. It’s enough that just the two of us know. Your mom shouldn’t be worrying about things right now, so let’s not tell her yet." He’d originally thought it would be okay to tell her, but seeing her big belly, he decided not to bother her with this. They could talk about it later.
"Okay." Yu Ze had no objections of course. As long as his mother was well, he didn’t care. At worst, he’d just be extra careful himself.
The thoughts between father and son were unknown to Qin Xue, who was both wife and mother. It was just that when she walked past that red spider lily, she glanced at it, and her heart suddenly clenched in pain—sharp and fast.
It vanished in a flash and then returned to calm, so quickly that Qin Xue froze for a moment.
What was this trying to tell her? This was an outcome she hadn’t anticipated at all. She hadn’t expected to run into it here again and again, over and over.
Qin Xue put the matter aside and, watching Chu Molin finish getting the two kids settled, only then did they all rest.
Maybe she really was just too tired lately. The moment Qin Xue lay down, she fell asleep. Chu Molin just looked at her sleeping face and sighed softly: Xue’er, what am I supposed to do with you?
