Chapter 2564: Chapter 2564: Thought She Was A TCM Doctor

Everyone agreed and climbed onto their beds. Even so, because of a different place, it was not easy to fall asleep right away. However, Yu Qi did not like that. If she wanted to sleep, her brain would make sure she fell asleep.

Yu Qi woke up at 5 a.m. Obviously, others were still sleeping. She slowly went to the bathroom, brushing her teeth and washing her face. With a light step, she left the room. The sky was still dark. The area was silent.

Yu Qi decided to do Tai Chi because it was a silent exercise. It was perfect because the air felt fresh. While she was exercising, she heard some movement, but when she turned around to see what it was, she saw nothing. She thought nothing about that.

After finishing exercising, Yu Qi returned to her room to take a quick shower. The people were still asleep. So, Yu Qi went to have a shower first. After showering, she woke them up.

"Hey, everyone. You should wake up." Yu Qi said.

She went to shake Nurse Shin Teng. Nurse Shin Teng slowly woke up from her sleep, rubbing her eyes.

"What’s time?" Nurse Shin Teng asked with sleeping voice.

"It is 6:15 a.m." Yu Qi said.

"Oh..." Nurse Shin Teng forced herself to get out of bed and head toward the bathroom.

Yu Qi continued to wake up the other two. At 7: 00 pm, the four of them were ready to go out. They packed up their things since they would leave this place and went to the assigned village.

They had breakfast before getting on the bus with other staff from different hospitals. Yu Qi’s team consisted of 10 people. Five doctors with five nurses.

In the bus, they got to know each other. The other three doctors were men. Their names were Doctor Duan Jiang, Doctor Ma Junjie and Zheng Yang. The female doctors were Yu Qi and Doctor Fang Maomao.

As for the nurses, four of them were women, and one of them was a man. One of them was Nurse Shin Teng. Others were Nurse Liang Xiuying, Nurse Guo Liqiu, Nurse Wu Ying and the last male nurse was Zhong Enlai.

The bus stopped, telling them that the bus could not continue the journey because of the road conditions. It was very muddy. If they continued, the bus would probably be stuck in the mud. The driver told them that he already contacted the village leader to come and get them.

Doctor Duan Jiang asked about the suppliers. Did they need to bring the suppliers by themselves? The driver stated that the village leader came over with the tractor. They did not have to worry about the suppliers. Doctor Duan Jiang felt relieved when he heard that.

They waited for the village leader to come. After waiting for 15 minutes, the village leader appeared with the tractor. He greeted them with a smile. He told them to move the supplies into the tractor.

The tractor was not too big. So, they needed to do two trips. Five of them would go to the village first with the supplies. Yu Qi chose to stay as well, Nurse Shin Teng. Doctor Fang Maomao also chose to wait. So, Doctor Ma Junjie and Nurse Zhong Enlai also chose to stay. So, others would go to the village first. They had to wait for one hour.

The bus driver chose to wait there until the village leader came back. So, others could wait in the bus.

However, Yu Qi did not go inside the bus. She was roaming around the area. She could see that this area was richer with medicinal herbs that could be used. She already spotted a few of them. She was thinking to come back with the village leader later. If she plucked the herbs now, she would not have proper storage for the herbs.

To be honest, she could just store them in the Sere. However, it would be difficult when she wanted to get them out and use them. Others would have many questions about how she had the herbs in the first place. It would be better if she asked the village leader to pluck the herbs later.

"Doctor Tang, what are you doing?" Doctor Ma Junjie asked.

"Looking at these plants." Yu Qi said.

"Why are you looking at them?" Doctor Ma Junjie asked.

"These are wild herbs. Chickweed, common nipplewort and crow garlic." Yu Qi pointed at the herbs.

"Owh..." Doctor Ma Junjie was speechless.

"Wow, you recognise them in one glance, Doctor Tang." Nurse Zhong Enlai said.

"Hmm... I study about the herbs before." Yu Qi said.

"But they could not win against modern medicine." Doctor Ma Junjie said.

Yu Qi chuckled. "Well, modern medicine and traditional medicine used different approaches. Modern medicine targets a quick solution; meanwhile, traditional medicine targets a long-term solution. Both of them had their advantages." Yu Qi stated.

"Oh... I forgot that Doctor Tang came as a TCM doctor for this charity program." Doctor Ma Junjie said.

From Doctor Ma Junjie’s tone, it seemed he looked down on the TCM doctor. He did not think highly about TCM doctor.

"Some old folks prefer the traditional medicine. That is why I am here." Yu Qi replied.

"Yes... Since Doctor Tang is a surgeon, she could not use her skill in this program." Doctor Fang Maomao said.
