She reached into her pouch and took out a small glass vial containing a perfectly transparent liquid, handing it over to Long Hui. With a slight tilt of her head, she silently signalled her fiancé to make Richard Lee consume the contents.
Long Hui did not need a single verbal instruction to understand exactly what his fiancée required. He calmly walked toward Richard Lee, his heavy boots clicking against the concrete, one steady, terrifying step after another.
Seeing the absolute lack of hesitation in his stride, Richard Lee finally began to panic. He desperately tried to thrash his torso, attempting to force his frozen body to move. Nothing. His muscles remained completely locked in place.
“What are you trying to do to me? Get away!” Richard Lee shouted, his voice echoing.
“Shouting won’t help you here. Absolutely no one is coming to save you.” Yu Qi replied calmly.

“From now on, you only need to answer my questions honestly.” Yu Qi said calmly.
To Richard Lee’s complete and utter horror, his jaw dropped, and his mouth moved entirely of its own volition. “Yes.”
His eyes widened in absolute disbelief. He had no control over his own vocal cords.
“What exactly is the Lee Family’s secret deal with the MicroTech Organisation? What is your main line of business with them?” Yu Qi asked, her voice turning into a sharp blade.
Richard Lee was horrified. He desperately, frantically wanted to keep his mouth shut, fighting with every ounce of his willpower to suppress the words. Unfortunately, his lips completely betrayed him, moving fluidly against his will.
