Chapter 2812: Chapter 2812: The Visitors Being Restrained.

“What? Don’t tell me even you have no idea what’s happening?” The woman named Suyi scoffed, rolling her eyes.

Before Deng Chen could answer, a squad of heavily armed security guards burst into the hallway and surrounded the group. The visitors shrank back in sheer terror at the sight of tactical weapons aimed in their direction.

“Mr Deng, what is the meaning of this? We demand an explanation!” The student leader demanded, his voice trembling.

“Silence! Everyone, follow us quietly. Do not attempt to resist.” One of the guards ordered sternly.

“What is this nonsense?! You have no right to treat us like criminals!” The woman, Suyi, shouted back indignantly.

In an instant, several guards raised their rifles and pointed them straight at her head. Suyi’s arrogant demeanour shattered immediately, replaced by pure terror.

“No! Please don’t shoot me!” The woman, Suyi, screamed, bursting into frantic tears.

“If you don’t want to get shot, follow our instructions down to the letter.” The guard commander stated coldly.

“Yes, sir! We will cooperate completely. Please don’t open fire!” The student leader pleaded, nodding repeatedly.

Beside him, another female student glared furiously at Suyi, fuming silently to herself. ‘How dare you act so recklessly when guns are pointed at us? If you want to throw a fit and die, do it by yourself. Don’t drag the rest of us down with you!’

They were escorted into a large holding hall, where one of the security guards stepped up to stand directly in front of them.

“Sir, what is going on here? Why are we being detained like this?” The father of the visiting family asked, stepping forward while nervously shielding his wife and children behind his back.

“Unauthorised intruders entered the facility today. Because of that, we are required to carry out this lockdown protocol.” The guard stated plainly.

“What?! Then why are you holding us here like criminals? We have absolutely nothing to do with any intruders! You should be out there searching for them instead of wasting time with us!” Suyi loudly voiced her indignation.

The leader of the student group glared furiously at her. This arrogant woman was still trying to provoke the armed guards. Fearing for their safety, he immediately stepped in to apologise on her behalf.

“Sir, please don’t pay any mind to her outburst. We completely understand that you are just following proper security protocol and would not harm innocent visitors.” The student leader said placatingly.

“Hmm… It is good that you understand. Someone will be here shortly to handle this matter. Just sit tight and wait.” The guard replied coldly.

Just as the guard had said, another team of guards soon entered the hall.

“Is this the entire group of visitors?” One of the guards asked.

“Yes, everyone is accounted for.” The guard nodded.

One person sat down at a nearby table and flipped open his laptop, typing rapidly for a few moments. Once finished, he finally lifted his gaze to scan the trembling visitors, starting with the family.

“You.” The man pointed directly at the father. “Give me your full name and identification number.”

“What?” The father gasped in surprise. “What do you intend to do with our personal information?”

“Just hand over your details! Don’t waste my time, alright? I already caught enough heat from the Professor over this!” The man roared, his patience clearly exhausted.

At his outburst, the guards immediately raised their rifles and trained them directly on the father.

“Cooperate right now, or we will open fire!” The guard commander barked.

Terrified for his family’s safety, the man immediately caved and provided his details. The man entered the information into his database before raising his head again.

“Next!” The man shouted, pointing at the man’s wife.

The wife did not dare argue and promptly handed over her information. One by one, the man collected everyone’s details, including the two young children. The very last person to be processed was Suyi. When her file loaded onto the screen, the man’s eyebrows rose in sudden interest.

“Oh… How interesting. You are the daughter of Researcher Wang from the Manjing Centre.” The man noted, staring intently at her profile.

Suyi, whose full name was Lin Suyi, was a pampered young lady from the prestigious Lin Family, and Researcher Wang was her mother.

“What of it? She is my mother, but what does that have to do with any of you?” Lin Suyi retorted defensively.

“A highly valuable asset went missing from our research centre today, and you just happen to be visiting.” The man sneered with a cold grin. “Your mother likely sent you here specifically to carry out this corporate theft.”

“What?! That is complete absurdity!” Lin Suyi denied the accusation vehemently.

“Well, that remains to be thoroughly investigated. You will all remain right here until we resolve this matter.” The guard instructed firmly.

“What about the rest of us?! We have nothing to do with her or her mother!” One of the students cried out in frustration.

“You arrived as part of the same visiting group. You will wait here as well.” The guard stated coldly.

“Sir… what about my family?” The father asked nervously, his voice trembling.

The guard turned to the man, silently seeking his directive.

“Just let the family go.” The man waved his hand dismissively.

“Thank you! Thank you so much!” The father nearly fell to his knees in overwhelming relief.

“Listen closely.” The man warned sternly, leaning forward. “Do not utter a single word to anyone about what transpired here today. We have all your personal details on file. If you speak of this matter to outsiders, you will quickly learn the dire consequences of crossing us.”
