Chapter 2830: Recognised Yu Qi

Chapter 2830: Chapter 2830: Recognised Yu Qi

According to the legends, that miraculous space had ultimately led to the woman’s tragic death. Dying alongside her in that ancient battle were her trusted martial senior brothers. However, historical records noted that one of her senior brothers had miraculously survived the catastrophe. And that sole survivor was none other than the supreme entity standing right beside him, Qin Xia.

Master Liang slowly turned his head, his wide eyes shifting from Yu Qi to Qin Xia, and then back to Yu Qi again. His pupils dilated in sheer shock as the unbelievable, terrifying possibility took root in his mind.

”Y-You… What is your true relationship with the Ancestor?!” Master Liang stammered out, his voice trembling.

”Well, he is my Senior Brother.” Yu Qi replied casually, as if mentioning the most obvious fact in the world.

”Senior… Brother?!” Master Liang’s eyes widened to their absolute limit. His breathing grew heavy and ragged as cold sweat broke out across his forehead. ”So… the ancient legend is actually true, then?!”

”True?” Yu Qi raised an eyebrow, tilting her head slightly.

”You… You are the legendary girl who perished a thousand years ago!” Master Liang declared, his voice laced with awe and dread.

Yu Qi did not utter a word, nor did she make any effort to deny his statement. She simply offered him a sweet, quiet smile. That subtle smile was more than enough to confirm his suspicions, sending Master Liang’s heart plummeting straight into a dark abyss.

At that moment, Master Liang knew with absolute certainty that he was completely doomed. He possessed zero means of escape, nor did he have any leverage left to bargain with. Desperate, he tried to quietly circulate his internal spiritual power to prepare a last-ditch struggle, only to discover that his energy refused to respond. He panicked and tried again, forcing his inner energy to move.

Nothing happened whatsoever. It was as if his entire cultivation base had been utterly suppressed by an invisible, almighty force inherent to this space. No matter how frantically he tried to circulate his spiritual energy, it remained completely frozen, refusing to flow properly through his meridians.

Master Liang’s expression turned exceedingly nervous and pale. This mysterious world was unequivocally under Yu Qi’s absolute, godlike control.

”Brother Hui, please check if there is a soul curse placed on him first.” Yu Qi requested gently.

”Mhm.” Long Hui nodded obediently.

Stepping forward, Long Hui placed his open palm directly onto Master Liang’s forehead, allowing a strand of his refined spiritual power to enter and thoroughly scan through Master Liang’s body.

Master Liang immediately felt an intrusive, formidable force probing his internal systems. He desperately wanted to resist and push the foreign force out, but with his cultivation power thoroughly suppressed by the domain, he could only stand completely motionless, forced to submit as Long Hui carefully examined his soul and meridians.

After a few tense moments, Long Hui completed the scan and withdrew his hand from Master Liang’s forehead.

The moment he pulled back, Yu Qi immediately whipped out a soft wet tissue and meticulously wiped down Long Hui’s hand to clean off any lingering contact.

Long Hui paused, looking down at her with an amused expression.

”What?” Yu Qi asked, looking up at him with a picture of pure innocence.

”I did not say a word.” Long Hui replied softly, a faint trace of warmth touching his eyes.

“I know.” Yu Qi smiled brightly back at him.

Master Liang watched the intimate interaction between the two in complete, stunned silence.

Even at a critical, life-or-death moment like this, they were still acting so remarkably relaxed and casual with one another. It was a harsh, terrifying reality check that made him realise just how absolute their confidence was. They knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that he had zero chance of ever escaping this realm alive.

Qin Xia cleared his throat with a dry cough, signaling that their playful interaction should come to an end. Long Hui glanced over and rolled his eyes at Qin Xia, unimpressed by the interruption. He then turned his gaze back to Master Liang, his expression instantly hardening into stone.

“There is no soul curse inside his body.” Long Hui stated plainly.

“It is good to hear that.” Yu Qi nodded in relief.

“That’s right. At least I would not have to waste my spiritual energy neutralising a soul curse.” Long Hui added, leaning over slightly toward their prisoner. His eyes narrowed into dangerous slits. “Now, you need to explain everything you know. Otherwise…”

“You can go ahead and kill me if you want.” Master Liang cut in, deliberately trying to provoke them to anger.

“Of course we can kill you. But why should we grant you such an easy exit?” Yu Qi asked, smiling sweetly at him. “It would only waste our time and energy. Since we have already put so much effort into capturing you, we intend to extract something that makes all that trouble worthwhile.”

However, upon closer inspection, Master Liang could see that the young woman’s smile did not reach her eyes at all. There was an icy, calculating chill hidden behind that warm facade that made his skin crawl.

He found himself genuinely wondering about the legendary cultivator who had self-destructed thousands of years ago.How on earth had she survived?

As far as his extensive knowledge went, when a cultivator chose to detonate their core and self-destruct, their soul would be violently scattered across the heavens, rendering it completely unable to enter the wheel of reincarnation. Once a soul was shattered into dust, there should have been zero possibility of rebirth.

So, how had this girl’s soul managed to avoid total destruction and successfully enter the reincarnation cycle?
