“My Master is already right outside.” Shino whispered softly in a voice only she could hear

After delivering his message, Shino perched boldly on Dian Chi Ne’s shoulder, glaring down the dark-faced man without a shred of fear.

Hearing Shino’s words, a wave of immense relief washed over Dian Chi Ne. She was well aware that she and Dian Wan Ye would have struggled to win a direct confrontation against this dark-faced man on their own. The subtle suppression array covering the house was continuously draining their physical and spiritual strength, and the dark-faced man’s cultivation level was undeniably far superior to theirs.

Fortunately, Yu Qi and Long Hui had arrived right on time.

The dark-faced man finally picked up on the subtle aura of uninvited guests standing just outside the estate. He narrowed his eyes, his smile fading into a sharp scowl.

Seeing that both girls were completely unharmed, she let out a quiet sigh of relief. She was immensely grateful that they had not arrived a second too late. Otherwise, the horrific outcome would have been irreversible.

“Who the hell are you?!” The dark-faced man bellowed in rage, staring in disbelief at his completely demolished doorway.

He knew instantly that the pair outside had destroyed his entrance with deliberate, hostile intent. His face darkened into a stormy mask of fury. He had been thoroughly enjoying his evening up until this point, only for these arrogant intruders to barge in and ruin everything.

“How dare you break down my door?!” The dark-faced man glared at Yu Qi and Long Hui with eyes burning with venom.

Yu Qi completely ignored his furious outburst, keeping her gentle focus entirely on Dian Chi Ne and Dian Wan Ye.

“Are the two of you alright?” Yu Qi asked smoothly.

“We are completely fine, Sister Yu Qi.” Dian Chi Ne replied, nodding reassuringly.

“Good.” Yu Qi nodded back. She then slowly turned her gaze back toward the dark-faced man, her warm demeanour instantly freezing over into icy indifference. “Now then… it’s your turn to answer a few questions.”

The dark-faced man attempted to unleash his menacing aura to oppress Yu Qi and Long Hui. However, his dark pressure seemed to have absolutely no effect on either of them. His brows furrowed in deep confusion as he stared at the unbothered couple.

Under normal circumstances, any righteous cultivator who stepped foot inside this mansion should have been instantly weakened by the specialised array formation embedded within the house. That dark array formation was specifically designed to target and drain righteous cultivators, while leaving evil cultivators like himself completely unaffected.

Yet, this dark array formation seemed to exert no influence over this couple whatsoever.

Without a word, Long Hui unleashed his own aura. The instant his terrifying, suffocating pressure slammed into the dark-faced man, the monster was violently forced down onto his knees.

His knees smashed heavily against the hard floorboards.

The dark-faced man’s expression twisted into utter horror. He was completely stunned. So, this man was indeed a cultivator! And his strength was so overwhelmingly immense that the suppression array could not even scratch his foundation!

The dark-faced man gritted his teeth, his jaw clenching in pain and frustration. He realised with sudden, terrifying clarity that he had made a grave mistake.

The man standing before him possessed a level of power that far exceeded his wildest expectations. Facing this monster alone in a one-on-one fight meant guaranteed death.

Acting quickly, he immediately signalled his subordinates and summoned every available reinforcement. He had strength in numbers on his side. As long as his men overwhelmed and surrounded them from all directions, he was confident they could still claim victory in this battle.

In less than two minutes, dark figures began materialising one after another from every corner of the property. They were all evil cultivators. One by one, they surged out from the shadows, forming a tight, impenetrable perimeter around the mansion. Including those who had already encircled the outer perimeter, more than eighty evil cultivators had assembled on the grounds.
