Chapter 2068: Armageddon & Beelzebub VS Lolth

Lolth confronted Armageddon.

"I heard you died or something? Against the heroes? That was simply too ridiculous—I could hardly believe it. But now I see you here, serving a mortal who just died, thinking you can accomplish anything? You are a few thousand years too young to even fathom facing me. If you know what’s good for you, surrender now and I may consider adding you to our group. This time, I don’t even want to eat you."

"As if I would ever do that!" Armageddon roared. "Sylphy is not dead! She will return! I believe it with all my heart! She might be an annoying worm, but she’s my annoying worm! And I won’t let anybody talk shit about her!"

Armageddon surged from the ground and exploded with flames, rapidly growing larger as her Divine Avatar—an expansion of her divine aura into a colossal form—wrapped around her and merged with her body.

In an instant, she transformed into a gigantic sun with a single blazing eye at its center and charged at Lolth with raw, burning fury. Lolth groaned, then sneered. She punched Armageddon back while launching spears of void that pierced straight through her body, impaling her dozens of times. Yet Armageddon kept rushing forward, burning and smashing her into the ground.

"Your stubbornness is admirable, if nothing else!" Lolth laughed. "But in the world of gods, stubbornness only brings death!"

She manifested a giant scythe of pure void and swung it down, splitting Armageddon’s body apart and slicing into her true form. Cursed void energy flooded inside her.

"GAAAAHHHH!"

Armageddon screamed in agony, crashing to the ground. Blood and guts splattered everywhere as she vomited crimson, writhing in excruciating pain.

"Armageddon!"

Beelzebub shouted, rushing to save her. He summoned his own Divine Avatar to block Lolth’s follow-up strike meant to finish Armageddon once and for all.

CRAAASH!

Using his Divine Avatar, he stopped the deadly Void Scythe, but the impact pushed him back hard. His own avatar trembled and faltered under the strain.

"Hahahaha! It’s futile, Beelzebub! You are just as pathetic as the rest of them! You really think that gaining a bit of divine power puts you on our level? You’re only facing one of us. What if an entire group came? What could you possibly accomplish?!"

"I... I... am not... weak! Lolth! I will defeat you!!!"

Beelzebub roared. Armageddon gasped, shocked to see him defending her so fiercely. Her shock only deepened when he suddenly awakened a hidden power deep within. Long red hair erupted from his head as his aura surged with roaring Spirit Soul Flames. Wooden branches and roots burst from the ground, wrapping around his body.

"UUUOOOHHHH!"

With furious anger, he unleashed the power of the one who had merged with him—Sylphy herself. Her body and soul fragments, permanently fused with his, fully manifested. His power skyrocketed.

Yggdragon Flames and Wood surged through him, fusing with his flesh and granting him a sudden, overwhelming power boost. He pushed back hard, shattering Lolth’s Void Scythe into pieces and forcing her to suffer the backlash.

"Gaaaaahaaa?!"

Lolth’s divine soul writhed in pain as she staggered backward. Beelzebub glanced at Armageddon in the brief window he had gained.

"Hang in there!"

Using his divinity, he created threads of demonic spirits and carefully sewed her wounds shut, slowly absorbing the divine curse inside her.

"Y-You... you’ve really changed, huh, Beelzebub...?"

"You remember my name?!"

"...I always remembered you."

"What?! Then why did you act like you didn’t know me all this time...?"

"I thought you were someone not worth my time... but I was... wrong..."

"D-Damn it! Why now of all times?! Hang in there, Armageddon! You have to live!"

"Grrrr...! Don’t go saying I’ll die, you damn bastard!"

Armageddon slowly stood up, groaning and gasping for air, her eyes burning with hatred as she glared at Lolth.

"I’ll kill that bitch!"

"We share the same goal, but please rest for now. I’ll handle her."

"Nah, you’re still weak."

"...!"

"But..."

Armageddon smiled as she felt Sylphy’s lingering power reacting to her emotions and will. She placed a hand on his shoulder.

"If we cannot beat her alone... then together... we may..."

"Huh?!"

"I hate to admit it, but... you’ll do just fine!"

"What are you—Ah!"

Beelzebub gasped as Armageddon embraced him tightly. She melted into his body like living magma.

"Uuuggh?!"

Her heat burned his body to the brink, yet in that same moment, she merged with his flesh, blood, and soul. He saw flashes of her memories and her life, while her divine flames resonated deeply with his own.

Armageddon experienced the same—witnessing the pain he had endured and all those he had lost.

"I see... you have a personal grudge against that bitch. That makes things better! Beelzebub, let’s become one!"

"Fine...!"

Yggdra groaned as she fought alongside Ignatius, Pyuku, and the others, unleashing explosions, beams, and every spell she could muster against Lolth. Without access to her true body’s power, she could barely fight at full strength.

"Ever since Sylphy died, my connection to the dungeon has almost vanished! What’s happening?!" she muttered.

Yggdra was a complex being with two main bodies—one in Cloudia and another inside the Dungeon, which also served as her divine realm. Now severed from both, she was left in a purely spiritual state, far from the giant tree she truly was.

Even worse, she worried desperately about little Andromeda. The last thing she remembered was the girl playing with Aquarina’s sister, Emerald, while Nepheline watched over them. With all connections lost, she had no idea what might have happened.

"Since it seems you’ve run out of mana now that your master is dead... I guess I should just eat you," Lolth laughed, opening her mandibles wide to reveal a black portal leading into her soul stomach. "Come here!"

BOOOMMM!!!

"UUGGH?!"

Before Lolth could devour her, a massive pillar of black, purple, and red flames tore straight through her body, leaving a gigantic hole behind.

"W-What...?! You bastards again?!"

She glared at Beelzebub and Armageddon, who she had believed were still healing. To her disbelief, something far more powerful emerged from within the roaring flames.

A giant insect spirit god with twelve arms, a powerful head crowned with long mandibles and sharp antennae, four vast wings, and a sleek yet muscular body of intermingling red and dark purple tones across its metallic exoskeleton.

A fusion of two gods had been born.

"You fused?!"

"We’ll kill you no matter what, Lolth!"
