Chapter 2132: A New Era Is About To Begin
-----
Sylphy gasped softly as a gentle breeze washed over her face, carrying with it the crisp scent of snow and the warmth of familiar presences. In that exact moment, another surge of power gave her the faith she desperately needed.
"Sylphy…! Don't leave!!!"
It was Lara's voice, filled with raw desperation. Within Sylphy, the combined power of every spirit on the planet stirred. Lara's faith alone became the final spark she required.
FLAAAASH!
A brilliant rainbow light exploded from within her fading form. Her soul, which had nearly vanished, began to regrow completely. A beating heart formed from divine flesh, followed by bones, organs, muscles, and smooth skin.
Long, flowing hair emerged in vibrant shades of red and blonde. An emerald eye and an orange eye opened once more. Pointy ears appeared, and finally, a beautiful pair of butterfly-like wings unfolded in dazzling hues of orange, red, yellow, and emerald.
She realized that her grandpa and even Lolth had been quietly sharing their power as well. They had remained calmer than the others, seemingly confident that she would be alright.
"E-Everyone…?" Sylphy looked around in shock and quickly covered her body with her arms, her cheeks flushing bright red. "Uwaaah?! W-Wait, I'm not dead?!"
As she gasped in disbelief, joyful cries erupted from all around her.
"SYLPHYYYYY!!!"
They rushed forward and hugged her even tighter than before, creating the largest and warmest group hug she had ever experienced. Ruby, who could only watch helplessly from the side, remained silent. She felt a deep pang of hurt, regretting that she had not possessed the strength to contribute anything meaningful.
She turned toward Lolth with furrowed brows, tears streaming down her face. "Please…"
More tears fell as she pleaded again. "Please give me back my father…"
Lolth looked down at her in complete silence. Ruby continued begging, her voice breaking. The Arachnid Goddess narrowed her red eyes, saying nothing at first.
In that quiet moment, as Lolth glanced back at the group, a distant memory flashed through her mind. It came from ancient times, long before she had corrupted herself into the monster she was today. Back when she still had people she could rely on, people she truly loved. All of them had been taken from her.
"Tsk… damn kids…"
She sighed heavily, then vanished from Ruby's father's body and returned to her dungeon. "This doesn't mean we aren't enemies! I-I will get you in time! Just you wait!"
Even though Lolth could have done far more and had many opportunities to act differently, she ultimately chose to leave without causing further harm.
"Dad!!!"
Ruby ran desperately through the snow toward her father. She found him lying there, coughing but alive. His body had returned to normal. The curse had been lifted, and he looked revitalized, even appearing several years younger.
"R-Ruby…?"
Her father's eyes widened the moment he saw his daughter. He sat up slowly in the snow, his lips trembling with emotion. "R-Ruby… where…? I…! I'm…!"
"Dad!"
Ruby did not wait another second. She threw herself into his arms and hugged him tightly, catching him completely off guard. After all these years and despite all the hatred and pain he had directed at her, she still embraced him with pure, unwavering love. The same love she had always carried for him.
"R-Ruby, I…"
"Daddy, I love you! Please don't die!"
Ruby cried tears of deep sorrow and relief, hugging him fiercely while kissing his forehead again and again.
"A-Ah…"
Her father was utterly shocked. Tears streamed down his face as the full realization hit him. He had watched her fight Lolth for his sake. He had heard her beg a terrifying and evil goddess to return him. He had witnessed how she was willing to trade her own life for his.
"R-Ruby…" he muttered, voice cracking. "I…! I don't know what's wrong with me… I…! I've done so many terrible things…! Why… Why do you still love me?! I…! I've been nothing but a terrible father to you! Why…! Just why do you still…?"
"Because… because you're the only dad I have!" Ruby cried, her voice filled with raw emotion. "And the memories we shared together in the past… they never faded from my mind…! I love you, Dad, and Mom loved you too! I will never stop loving you no matter what… because I know that deep down you're a good person!"
Her father fell completely silent, overwhelmed. This was not the son he had once imagined. No. This was his daughter. She had always been his daughter. As memories of watching her grow up flooded back, he finally understood. He had always had an adorable little princess by his side, a pure and loving angel who cared for him unconditionally. Yet he had mistreated that angel, blinded by his own pain and prejudice.
"I'm sorry…" he sighed, his voice heavy with regret. "I know that no matter how many times I say it, I cannot go back in time and undo all the things I did to you… that hurt you… But I… intend to work on it. I'll do anything to earn your forgiveness… I will dedicate my life to it… because I now see… I see it."
He smiled gently and caressed her face with care. "That you're just like your mother…! Hahahaha! A stubborn girl that won't give up, huh?" He continued laughing warmly. "A reckless girl… that will never stop doing what's right."
"Dad…" Ruby cried, hugging him even tighter. "Of course! I forgive you!" she said happily. "I'm so happy! I'm so happy, Daddy!"
"R-Ruby…" Her father wept on her shoulder, feeling her warmth and love fully heal something deep inside him. "I love you… my daughter."
"Hehehe!" Ruby giggled with pure joy. She helped lift her father up, and soon they were running through the snow together, throwing snowballs at each other like children. "Remember when we played like this?"
"A-Ahahah… Hahahah!" Her father laughed heartily. "I do…! Well, fuck it! Let me tell you that I am ama— Huh? My hands…?!"
He noticed that while he had been crying, a new pair of prosthetic hands had been fitted onto his arms. Ruby had quietly placed them there.
"You like them? They feel lifelike, right? I made them for you, Dad!" she smiled brightly. "D-Do you like my craft now? I worked so hard, day and night… to finally become someone that you could be proud of…!"
Her father smiled warmly and nodded, a tear slipping from his eye. "I do, and I am incredibly proud!" he said happily. "This… This is the most amazing thing…! Well done, Ruby! You make your dad fucking proud! Gahahahahah!"
"Gahahahaha!" Ruby laughed along with him. "You like it? I've been practicing my dwarf laugh!"
"It needs a little more work, sweetie," he smiled. "But we've got a lifetime to reconnect, haha."
"Yep!" She grinned and threw another snowball at his face. "You lost!"
"H-Hey, you rascal! Come here!" her father laughed, chasing her across the snow and launching dozens of snowballs in return.
"Hahaha!" Ruby giggled joyfully.
Sylphy, now half her original size once again, smiled softly while resting in her mother's arms. She watched Ruby and her father playing happily in the snow before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
It had truly been a long and exhausting day.

"I see, so is everything okay?"
"Yes, yes dear, everything's alright. We managed to stop it. But a lot has happened."
"Yes, there was some weird rainbow rain and… uh, well, maybe something will happen eventually? Nothing has happened yet."
"I suppose it hasn't happened yet, but it will. We must prepare."
"Okay~ But everyone's happy and alive, right?"
"Yes dear, thank you for taking care of the capital."
"Oh, no worries! It was fun sitting in the bigger throne!"
"And… Um, about Sylphy, you see, I think she'll need some guidance."
"Guidance? Oh right, the baby girl! She's fine, right?"
"She is, yes. She managed to recover her body and everything, but her powers are in disarray. She wields strength she barely understands… And I think her new form… well, she's a fairy now."
"Oh?!"
"Her regenerated body likely awakened her latent bloodline. I think we'll need help in your area of expertise, as the Daughter of the Fairy King… and as a Minor Spirit Goddess yourself."
"Oh! So that's what this is about! Okay~! Tell her to come here whenever she feels like it!"
"Will do. She's… well, she's asleep right now. Once she wakes up, we'll tell her."
"Alright then~ Take care, my beloved! And please make sure to rest, okay?"
"Okay, take care. Love you."
"Love you too!"
The King closed the telepathic call with his wife, the Queen of the Elven Kingdom, and sighed in relief. A calm, hopeful smile spread across his face.
A new world of endless possibilities was about to begin.
